In this week’s View, Dr. Eagle looks at frailty status and increased risk of mortality in patients who undergo percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). He then discusses the timely treatment and delays in treatment of ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) that are associated with worse outcomes.
