"Are you going to marry Saeki-san? my sister asks. My sister looks surprised and doesn't answer.

She knew Saeki's secret. That man is a bad man. He's cheating on your sister. The younger sister, who loves her sister, made a decision.

自宅に帰ると何故か飼い主は白を「見知らぬ黒い犬だ」と言って、白をバットで殴り石を投げつけ追い払いました。

どうやら白は逃げているうちに、黒犬になってしまったようなのです。

There was a dog named White. Leaving the black dog to be killed by a human right in front of his eyes, White ran home at once.When he returned home, his owner for some reason told him that he was a strange black dog and beat him with a baseball bat and threw stones at him to drive him away.

Apparently, White had become a black dog while running away.

初夏のある日、人力車夫の海蔵と牛ひきの利助は山道を連れだって歩いていた。喉の渇きを覚えた2人は、道を外れた山中にある湧き水へと向かう。

ところが、2人が水を飲んでいる間に、道端の椿の木に繋いであった利助の牛が、椿の葉を食べつくしてしまう。そこへ地主が通りかかり、椿の木を台無しにしたとして利助はさんざん怒られる。

利助と海蔵はしょげ返って、「湧き水がもう少し近くにあればなぁ」と言い合う。

女中頭はお家の評判に関わると黙っていたが、ある夜、その猫に額を叩かれて目を覚ました。

主人の備後に相談するが、主人は「捨て置け」と問題にしない。

その後、備後が趣味の猟のため、火縄銃の弾を鋳ていると、その姿をじっと見つめる猫の姿があった。

When the head maid of Shibata Bingo's mansion was going to the latrine late at night, she saw a cat dancing in an empty room.

The head maid kept quiet about it because it was a threat to the family's reputation, but one night she was awakened by the cat hitting her on the forehead.

One night, she wakes up after being struck on the forehead by the cat. She consults her master, Bingo, but he doesn't make an issue of it, saying, "Just throw it away.

Later, when Bingo was casting bullets for his flintlock rifle for his hobby of hunting, he saw the cat staring at him.

ある家に、その家で死んだ女性の幽霊が現れるようになった。一家はさまざまな方策で幽霊を成仏させようとするが、ことごとく失敗して僧侶に助けを求める。

僧侶は幽霊を恐れず、成仏するようにやさしく諭した。そして、幽霊がいつも箪笥の前に現れることから生前気がかりだったものが入っているのではないかと推測した。 しかし、一家は何度もその箪笥を捜索していたが幽霊は成仏しなかったと言う。

The ghost of a woman who had died in a house began to appear in the house. The family tries various ways to make the ghost go away, but all of them fail and they ask a monk for help.

The monk gently reminded them not to fear the ghost, but to become Buddha. The monk told the family not to be afraid of the ghost, but to try to attain Buddhahood. The ghost always appeared in front of the chest, and the monk guessed that it might contain something that had been bothering him during his life. However, the family had searched the chest many times, but the ghost never came to rest.
