I have a special page in my notebook that I treasure: Books I’ve Hugged. Yes. These are the books that I’ve loved so much that I did not want to let go of them when I turned the last page…so I didn’t. I hugged them instead.
Today, I’m sharing three of these huggable middle grade novels. And while they are perfect for the middle grade reader in your life, they are also perfect for the adult reader who needs a bit of a bookish hug, too.
Here are the books mentioned:
The Benefits of Being an Octopus by Ann Braden
The Road to After by Rebekah Lowell
How to Find What You're Not Looking For by Veera Hiranandani
The Other Half of Happy by Rebecca Balcarcel
Here's the blog post I mentioned on what adults should read children's literature, too!
And here's an apology, too. Ed Mylett was actually the person who taught me that there are things that are caught, not taught. I read A LOT of personal development and need to be better at not mixing up my quotes.
