  • Bitesize: Why we keep DCAing even when stocks are falling

We're going through some of our best Ask Us Anything answers from very early Equity Mates episodes! This one was taken from the very very beginning of the pandemic, which makes it wild to listen back to. Although the message still rings true - DCA consistently, and you'll be taking advantage of a unique opportunity.

  • How much should I have at my age?

This episode was sparked from articles we've recently found like this: Yahoo Finance - 'How much the average Aussie has in savings' and Finder - 'How much money should I have?'.

The question then becomes, how do I compare? Of course, we live by the motto 'comparison is the thief of joy', but more importantly, we decide to dig into the idea of the median - is that a more useful measure when you want to stack yourself beside your peers? (Ps. Yes is the answer).

What’s the process of applying for a home loan? What are the benefits of having a preapproval when searching for a property?

He also goes through all the jargon that you have to face - offset, redraw, LVR, LMI, comparison rates. Hopefully this episode clears up some hot questions for you!
