Our continued search for Charlie led the team to Mexico and we ran into a native tribe that offered us a delightful tea to quench our thirst. As we took our first big swig of tea, we hear a giggle coming from behind us. We turn to see one of our best podcasting buddies in the world Erin from Manic Movie Monday.  Anna asked what the giggling was about, and Erin just smiled an all-knowing smile and said, "ummmm...just give it a minute or two. heehee"

"Minute or two," Pete asks, "What do you mean by....wooooah..." 

After a few days, Erin was finally able to track down Anna and Pete. Anna had found her way into a museum and was molesting a copy of Michelangelo's David while Pete was verbally accosting a dodgy looking cloud that turned out to be a cotton candy machine. Shockingly, he still had his pants on.  Anywho, Erin cat-wrangles Anna and Pete and suggests watching Altered States to understand what might have happened during the lost time.  While we all thought the movie was a hoot, we were getting frustrated in the fact that Charlie was still missing.  Remember that old chestnut?

Our continued search for Charlie led to a delightful encounter: Nate intercepted our search to help lend a hand. After long days of searching, we all decided to take a break and talk about M3GAN 2.0. It's clearly been a while since we all have talked, and our conversation went all over the where. In the end we all liked the film for different reasons and unanimously agreed that both M3GAN films are wonderful gateway movies to the horror and action genre. The team even workshopped M3GAN 3.0 and hope that Blumhouse runs with the story premise.

Lou Ferrigno and Reb Brown return to the Cage to settle the score…again! B-ACTION goes back to the well for another sequel, and this time it's 1994’s Cage 2! Billy finds himself in the dangerous underground cage fighting scene once again after he thought his best friend Scott had died. The filmmakers tried to recapture the heart of the original but ended up in cardiac arrest. Writing, acting, and fight choreography all get knocked out in this one. Listen as we salvage what we can from this brutal beatdown!

If you tuned in last week for the conclusion of an historic Month of Action, you heard Charlie go "Missing in Action" at the end of the show. Anna and Pete pooled their resources together and executed a worldwide man hunt for their fearless leader. Our first stop was the Land of the Rising Sun, JAPAN! Ultimately, we came up empty handed, however there were signs of Charlie having been in the quiet town of Kurôzu-Cho. We found his Month of Action bandana in a washing machine, but it had been twisted into a horrific spiral shape, or an uzumaki as the locals explained. The word uzumaki reminded Pete of a movie so before we continued our search, we took a break and invited Daniel from the Geeks with Beards podcast over to cover a supremely weird J-Horror film based off a Junji Ito manga called Uzumaki. You better tune in to this episode because you won't believe your ears.

The year is 1986 and it’s an action kids dream! Highlander, Big Trouble in Little China, Delta Force, Cobra, Iron Eagle, Aliens. The list can go on and on. All of these have been covered on the show. But alas, there’s always one to slip through the cracks, and no it’s not Howard the Duck. Month of Action has come to an end for 2025 and yet there was one figure missing from this entire month. Arnold. And only Arnold could slip through the cracks of his own fame. 1985 he had Commando and 1987 he had Predator. Two of the greatest action movies ever made. But what happened in 1986? Well, they gave Arnold a Raw Deal and now they’re about to pay…with their lives! Raw Deal gets its redemption starting now!

As The Month of Action comes to a close, we gear up for the most Charlie action movie we may have ever covered. Rambo 3 is a knock-down drag-out gun-blazing BOOM-gasm. If heavily armed helicopters, evil Russians, an absurd body count and a daring rescues are your kind of action movie then you need this movie in your life. Both Anna and Pete watch it for the first time while Charlie can't count how many times he's seen it. Double the roundhouses, double the biceps, and double the B-ACTION: It's time for Jean-Claid Van Damme‘s Double Impact! Derrick from Bad/Movies Worse People joins us to talk about this 1991 classic that puts JCVD’s acting chops to the test! It checks all of the B boxes: Awkwardly sex scenes, ridiculous plot armor, and deviously bad bad guys (with Henchmen!). Get yourself warmed up with some splits and karate as we wrap up The Month of Action with double the Van Damme!

Since I've been podcasting, few things have brought me more joy than one of my co-hosts watching a film for the first time that I have loved for years. It's happened a few times on this show and always brings a smile to my face. Case in point this week for not only Lethal Weapon 4 but the entirety of the Lethal Weapon franchise. Our favorite Scream Queen, Anna, simply missed all of Lethal Weapon. Hey, it happens. No shade thrown...(Looking at you Dad).  The best thing is that Anna went out and got the whole collection and watched them with her Pops. What I wouldn't give to watch these movies for the first time again and to top it off, getting to watch it with my Dad. Heaven. This truly fit the Month of Action!!!

By this axe WE RULE, and if you don't like that, you can come and take it! The Month of Action goes barbarian with 1997’s Kull the Conqueror! However you may feel about Kevin Sorbo, this movie is METAL AF, from the music to the creature effects. This is a great “Conan adjacent” story that has some awesome lore and badass fights! We couldn't go without mentioning the stacked cast featuring Thomas Ian Griffith, Harvey Fierstein, Litefoot, and the literally smoking hot Red Witch Tia Carrera as well as the ice cold stunner Karina Lombard!

Don't just watch Action, B-Action!!! 

Practical effects, hand made miniatures, real explosions, realistic future dystopia, iconic characters, ULTRALITES! What's not to like about Escape from New York? Well, we find a number of holes in the the plot and a few questionable film making decisions that in NO WAY diminish our enjoyment of this movie. Yes this movie has faults but it's a genuine classic that keeps the Month of Action trucking along like a well oiled wrestler.  Charlie has curated an amazing collection of action films this Month of Action and we are all in his debt.  Did you know that Adrienne Barbeau is a smoke show?
