As an entrepreneur starting out in business you are filled with enthusiasm and excitement – the world is your oyster, right?
But how do you cope when the inevitable dip arrives? When the initial excitement fades and lack of motivation sets in?
This week I discuss ‘the dip’ – how it comes to all of us, why you shouldn’t fear it, but instead should embrace it, and how exactly you can do this effectively.
I share the five stages of the entrepreneur’s transition curve – from the uninformed optimism of stage one to the informed optimism and growth of stage five - so you can navigate through them with confidence. I discuss the importance of being compassionate to yourself, reaching out for help when you need it, and always looking to discover the fun in what you do.
By normalizing the dip and teaching you my top tips to deal with it when it comes, I aim to see you on the other side of it, as this is where you’ll find your opportunity to be exceptional and truly flourish.

In this episode I share some low-cost digital tools to help your business in 2021:
If you want it badly enough, you can have anything you want in this world, no matter how impossible it might feel right now… you have got to become obsessed.
As humans we are the sum of our stories and experiences and that is something so important to bring to the table as heart-centered businesswomen.
This week’s podcast is a little different as I share my own personal story about the birth of my daughter and how this event was a pivotal point in my life.
What should have been one of the most magical moments of my life quickly became something altogether different.
Every plan I had made went out the window as I fought for my life and underwent a life-changing operation.
I become obsessed with getting to the root of what happened to me whilst exploring how to grow my family.
Spoiler alert – I got my beautiful twins 😊 but there were lots of twists and turns along the way which have shaped me into the person I am today.
I hope this inspires you to share your story with your tribe.
After all, our stories make us unique and that’s pretty cool, right? Enjoy the listen.

How do you feel when you have to relinquish control? If you’re anything like me and the idea of not being completely in control brings you out in a cold sweat, then this episode is for you, as I discuss how to not only cope but thrive when this is your only option.
There are times in all our lives – and business journeys – when all we can do is trust the process. Whilst it may be a terrifying prospect, I discuss how letting go of the ‘hows’ and trusting that what you deserve won’t pass you by can be truly freeing.
By recounting the story of the premature birth of my baby twins, I demonstrate the valuable life lesson that this taught me – that even a control freak like me can relinquish control and that things can and will be OK when I do.
I also take you through the seven steps to manifesting success – from clarity to celebration and everything in between. It’s a powerful technique and one that really can be life-changing, so I am excited to share it with you.
I hope this encourages you to know when to step back, let go and trust that you will find your way. You don’t need to know exactly how you’ll get there, you just need to set your intentions, keep showing up and have faith that your hard work will pay off.

I look at the importance of developing good habits – small, intentional daily activities that, when done regularly, serve to propel your business forward.
I also look at course correcting, ensuring you’re always on course towards your vision, even when the going gets tough.
Finally, I discuss the importance of regular CEO days to keep yourself on track and accountable.
This episode should serve as a useful prompt to examine your current habits and see what can be improved to keep yourself progressing towards that all-important vision.

In this episode I discuss how to take on the mindset of a CEO:
It's called a success mindset, and it's literally about focusing on what you've accomplished and not just what you haven't…”
In this episode I discuss how to create greater success when you keep your energy vibration at a higher level through self-care and self-review.
It's super critical to review your achievements and celebrate your successes along the way to your goals.
We all have a vision of our success and at times it can feel difficult to keep this in focus. It is all too easy to get caught up in the to-do list, or the things we feel haven’t been successful – but what about the things that have?
As you push forth with your plans and goals, you need to take the time to review the journey so far, not just to learn but to acknowledge and to celebrate.
Reviewing how far we have come and recognizing our achievements allows us to be truly grateful, one of the foundations that enables us to manifest even greater success.
It is also vital to ensure we are checking in with ourselves and prioritizing the self-care we deserve – you cannot pour from an empty cup and, as entrepreneurs, it is all too easy to forget this as we strive to hastily tick things off our endless to-do list.
Tune in to this episode to prompt you to reflect on your own journey and bask in the joy of your own achievements, as well as to commit to some simple, regular acts of self-care, raising your own vibe so you can create even more of the success you deserve.

Nail Your Niche [FREE] Guide & Workbook (How to identify your ideal client avatar) - Download NOW
The fact is that nailing your niche and truly understanding what motivates your prospective clients, is perhaps the single biggest driver in creating a successful business.
This week we look at the importance of defining your ideal avatar, something which sounds so simple, but rarely do new coaches, course creators or entrepreneurs get it right the first time.
The success of your product or service ultimately depends on how well you know your ideal client.
If you don’t know who it is you’re targeting, how can you serve them?
It is critical to be clear on who they are and where they are hanging out online, so you can seek them out and create content to draw their attention and, ultimately, convert them into paying clients.
In this episode I discuss both how to find them and how to then learn about their needs, wants and desires.
I explain how vital it is to get involved in the communities online in which your ICA (ideal client avatar) dwells and how to conduct effective research once you’re in there to help you create a compelling client offering.
It is about truly understanding your client and bringing them to life, so every action you take within your business has them at its core.
I also discuss how to avoid the mistakes people often make when they finally reach their ICA.
I hope this prompts you to take the time this week to examine your ICA and check your content aligns with their needs and desires.
Truly knowing your audience from the outset will pay dividends as your business grows and evolves.

In this episode I discuss the importance of knowing your ICA inside out:
A side effect of the pandemic is that finally, more and more people are starting to feel from their hearts. They're starting to care. It's like there's a shift in global consciousness...
Welcome to the twentieth episode of Action Taker Tribe. In this week’s episode I look at the positives that have arisen from the pandemic; more specifically, the business opportunities that have risen to the fore.
No one can deny it has been one hell of a ride over the last year. Our worlds have been turned upside down as COVID-19 has taken hold and at times it has felt like there is very little to be cheerful about. Yet, as with most situations in life, there are always positives and opportunities to be found.
In this episode, I discuss how the world-changing pandemic has opened up a world of new opportunities for knowledge brokers like us.
People’s priorities have changed – they are looking for things to serve them spiritually and emotionally, rather than just financially. They want to learn from others who have trodden the path they wish to walk. They want more balance in their lives.
Thankfully, there are now more ways of communicating and sharing content online than ever before and our audiences are more engaged than ever too. Our ideal avatar is online and poised to consume our content.
It is down to us - the new wave of coaches & course creators - to understand exactly what they need and prove that we are best placed to meet those needs.
It is your time to shine - your audience is waiting for you.
Take the opportunity this week to put yourself out there and reach out with high-quality content that will truly serve them.

In this episode I discuss the positives that have come from the pandemic:
Being certain doesn't mean that you know every single thing that's going to happen and every right decision. You don't need to. What you need to do is just take the next step.”

Welcome to the nineteenth episode of Action Taker Tribe. In this week’s episode I discuss the power of certainty in decision-making and what it means for the actions that you take - or don't take – in both your business journey and your life.
Prior to having my eldest daughter, I lived my life with a strong sense of certainty. I had done really well, teaching English abroad after I graduated, before traveling the world. I got a great job in advertising upon my return to the UK, met my husband and felt my life had a clear trajectory – marriage, homeownership, and children. Whilst some of that did begin, I had a terrible birthing experience with my daughter involving an emergency hysterectomy, followed by the breakdown of my relationship with my ex-husband when she was eight months old.
The trajectory suddenly looked very different. However, despite these obstacles, I was certain that I would have more children in the future and complete my family. I didn’t know how, but I was certain that I would achieve it – and I am delighted to confirm that I am now a proud mother of three wonderful girls.
In this episode I draw upon this experience and discuss the importance of certainty when striving to achieve your goals in business and in life - how you don’t have to know how you’ll get there, you just need to trust that you will. I discuss how critical it is to have both a clear vision and strong decision-making skills that will propel you along your journey, staving off procrastination and pushing you through any barriers you encounter.
I hope that this episode inspires you to make a decision you’ve been putting off so you can take that next step forward in your journey. Find the certainty and know that you can do it.
