  • 006: How To Shake Off Imposter Syndrome

“Imposter Syndrome can absolutely cripple you if you don't get to grips with it sooner rather than later.  ” - Jo Ingram

Welcome to the sixth episode of Action Taker Tribe. In this week’s episode, we tackle Imposter Syndrome.

It is quite common as we grow our business to deal with Imposter Syndrome. That feeling of “Who am I to do this?”

“People with much longer resumes are the ones who should be doing this, not me.”

That voice in your head that says stay small... Don’t do that or you might fail.

I discuss why your idea of total perfection is holding you back, and how we can overcome imposter syndrome - and even come to see it as a friend.

I discuss why women may encounter this more than men, and I also look at different ways we can keep it at bay so we are not crippled by it.

Imposter Syndrome might just be a part of leveling-up, but it doesn’t have to stop you in your tracks. I’ve had to deal with it as I grow my business so I hope you find this episode useful on your business journey.

  • 004: Why Taking Action Will Get You Where You Wanna Go

It's about becoming the most that you can be. What that is, is a completely personal choice.

Welcome to the fourth episode of Action Taker Tribe! In this episode, I discuss how we can sometimes find ourselves lost in the day-to-day forgetting we were once a wide-eyed adventurous youth. As we get older, it's important not to forget your dreams and ambitions.

As Tony Robbins says, if you're not growing you're dying.

So as new entrepreneurs how do we make sure growth and contribution are part of our vision? What are the actions you need to take to get there?

I also discuss Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and how it relates to the business that you’re building. It's all about building a business with purpose and a business that is heart-centered. We want to create an impact. We want to feel lit up every day with a sense of meaning. That's the self-actualization part of building our businesses. That's where growth and contribution combine into making something beautiful in our lives and make us feel amazing.  So here I am in my mid-forties, and it's the first time since my early twenties, that I am feeling alive and passionate and inspired. And I feel that I have no choice, but to build my business.

Do you feel the same? It's just no choice. This is a calling. I have to do it. I'm learning and growing. This is a call to arms. Let's just keep going.

    Take the action.

Why You Need a CEO Day: It’s Strategic Action Time (Episode #3):

“A successful CEO DAY is when you're working ON your business, not IN it!”  -  Jo Ingram

In this episode of Action Taker Tribe I explain an important strategic action most solopreneurs miss. It’s setting a regular CEO Day. You are now the decision-maker, creating the vision for your company and making key decisions, so you need to set time aside to really make sure you are being strategic with your time and money.

I discuss how to avoid those Magpie Moments we all find ourselves in and what behaviors lead to creating a fulfilling business. I look at how it is possible to create a company culture even as a solopreneur and why it is important to think about before you’ve even hired your first employee.  I also talk about what makes a successful CEO and the 6 characteristics successful CEOs have in common.

I explain why it's important to look at your own mindset biases and the importance of challenging them. You might even think about firing yourself after listening to this episode!

Action Taker Tribe Podcast  [FREE GUIDE]

Unlock Your Inner Action-Taker By Banishing These Two Beliefs (Episode #2)

“Some amazing stuff happens when you step into that zone of fearlessness” -Jo Ingram

In this episode of Action Taker Tribe, I bust two major limiting beliefs that stop us as entrepreneurs from taking action and keep us playing small. The first is a lack of time. I explain why for some it seems there are never enough hours in the day to do ALL the things. Then for others, it seems they get twice as much done in the same 24 hours.  I discuss the importance of looking for actions that move the needle in your business and how to stop spinning your wheels. The second limiting belief is imposter syndrome. How many times a day do you wonder if you're good enough? When you look around it feels like everyone else is already doing what you want to do but better.

It’s quite natural to have insecurities and to compare yourself to others. You may be new to what you're doing.  You may have a lot to learn.  There are others out there who have been doing it WAAAY longer, and have the results you dream of. The key is to make sure it doesn't stop you in your tracks. I can help you banish these beliefs and move forward!

        • 001: Intro To Action Taker Tribe with Messy Action

“People don’t pay you for what you know, they pay you for what you DO!”   - Jo Ingram.

Welcome to the first episode of Action Taker Tribe! If you're a new entrepreneur and you're building a heart-centered business for the first time, this podcast is for you.

I wanted to have an opportunity to talk about and share some of my experiences and insights into creating a successful business.

For me, it was all about taking action! It’s something that I've always done quite naturally in my life, but I've realized that at times where I haven't taken action, that's where things have stagnated and I've not made progress. It occurred to me that actually, action is what fascinates me.

Action is what I want to talk about!

Taking action and implementing is key to your success.  Action Taker Tribe podcast is focused on how we achieve that.... whether that's by Messy Action, Inspired Action, Massive Action or Effective Action.
