2:41 and 1:14 are the magic numbers!
Thanks for following along guys!
Melbourne is finally here..
Matt, Jordan and Chris go over a taper week, the carb load and their own race predictions. There's some nerves, excitement and too much Rice Bubbles floating around in the air.
The boys cover the elite starts in both the half and full marathon and who they think might win.
Chat next week to go in depth on all things Melbourne Marathon
On the fourth episode of the Training Series, Matt, Jordan and Chris sit down with Physio and Pilates expert Alice Baquie.
They chat about all things strength and mobility and the ForRunners App - an app that has Pilates and pre-run activations built in for quick and on the go sessions.
Alice is also training for her debut marathon. The build looks a bit different, but the nerves are all the same.
Thanks for tuning in again guys!
Matt, Jordan and Chris are back to go over a few big running weeks (mixed with some sickness).
Melbourne Marathon weekend is fast approaching and the fellas are starting to get ready for a few big PB's...fingers crossed..

Four time Olympian..
The fellas worked out early on that 4 time Olympian sounds pretty good..
Matt, Jordan and Chris were extremely lucky to sit down and chat with Gen Gregson on the second episode of the Training Series.
They cover Gen's early running career, her massive 2016, heartbreak in Tokyo, motherhood and the most recent Paris Olympics.
Gen is a real competitor and has the power to manifest huge changes in her life. Turning a negative (injury) into a positive (having Archer) it was to chat with such a well rounded athlete.
Hope you guys enjoy as much as they did!
Jordan is in the sub 16min 5Km club - a very elusive time for a very quick guy.
The fellas discuss Jordan's recent 5Km PB and the times that he has been ticking off over the last month.
Chris has had quite enough of training by himself and looking forward to a few sessions together.
While Matt hits a massive marathon session, heads to Sydney (Steak and Kidney) and is now sidelined with a tiny injury. *fingers crossed for some good news*
Jakob Ingebrigsen smashes the 3Km WR by 3 seconds and throws down the hammer in the "olympic rematch"
Thanks for tuning in!
This week Julian "Moose" Spence kicks off the GGR training series. Julian is an elite distance runner and represented Australia in the marathon at the World Championships in 2019 in Doha
Julian covers how to structure a week, defines a few training ways and how important it is to get in the hills.
Julian shares his ways of finding the right shoe for him and gives a bit of an insight into a shoe rotation.
Julian shares some long run stories, a bit he's learned off the Inside Running Podcast and indulges the fellas in some favourite Do's and Don'ts.
This was a great chat!
Matt, Chris and Jordan go over their favourite parts of the Olympics and discuss the crazy finish to the womens Marathon. Still sad it's over tbh...
Matt and Jordan head on a long run after a late night and have an unofficial race with a member of the Gold Coast community, while Chris has gone dark on Strava.
Perhaps there'll be a little GGR race coming up as the boys get ready for a big guest this week.
Follow along, and chat soon xx
