Hey Sox fans, the White Sox won 2 of 3 against the Yankees in New York. Josh Donaldson cements his place on the White Sox most hated list. The Chicago White Sox retaliate to Donaldson's actions by taking both games of a doubleheader on Sunday. Tim Anderson hit a HUGE three run homerun and Michael Kopech pitched his best game of his career. Johnny Cueto dazzled once again in Game 1. The Sox offense continues to flounder with runners in scoring position but the Sox were able to get the job done in New York. Can this doubleheader sweep create a spark that the Sox can fan for a few more games? Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox.
The Chicago White Sox lost 3 of 4 to the New York Yankees on the South Side and the inconsistencies continue to pile up. When will this team, if ever, live up to the potential that their talents offer? Is it when Jimenez and Lynn come back? Is it in June when the weather will surely be hot and humid? Maybe getting smacked around by the Yankees will light a fire and get this White Sox team to make the necessary changes needed to play to their potential? The White Sox head out on the road to play 5 games in 4 days against the Kansas City Royals then off to New York to try their luck against the Yankees. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox.
Hey Sox fans, the Chicago White Sox have won six straight games, sweeping the Boston Red Sox and Chicago Cubs. During this stretch, the Sox have flipped the script as their pitching as well as defense have been outstanding. Sox bullpen gave up one earned run during the weekend series against Boston. Solid outings by Keuchel, Cease and Velasquez have helped the White Sox finally get over .500. The offense is doing just enough but Jose Abreu is starting to heat up. Additions of Yoan Moncada and Joe Kelly will be welcomed reinforcements as the Sox begin a seven game home stand against the Guardians and Yankees. The weather is warmed up and so are the White Sox.
Hey Sox fans, The Chicago White Sox are in desperate need of some consistency. The rollercoaster ride of April had far more dips than expected. The Sox find themselves five games under .500 and trying to salvage a split with the Los Angeles Angels. Dylan Cease once again is looked upon to get some momentum going before the big series with the Cubs. Yoan Moncada and Joe Kelly are making progress in Charlotte with hopes they can provide some reinforcement soon. It seems to be well accepted amongst fans that the White Sox are a better team than their record indicates. Here's hoping the month of May provides fans with better weather and far better baseball. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox!
The Chicago White Sox were swept on their latest road trip. They lost 3 in Cleveland and 3 in Minnesota. Anything that could go wrong, did go wrong. To complicate matters, Eloy Jimenez injured his hamstring and may miss up to 8 weeks. The basic fundamentals have been extremely bad. Maybe it's just bad baseball in April? Maybe it's the result of so many injuries? Maybe the White Sox are just really bad now and need to make some changes? Thank you for the continued support, Go Sox.
Hey Sox fans, just recently the White Sox were ranked #3 in MLB latest power rankings. The Sox starting pitching have held strong, sporting a league best 2.68 ERA. Dylan Cease and Michael Kopech have been great so far as the Sox offense tries to wake up. If you are not hitting the ball out of the ballpark or relying on typical power numbers, than you need to get creative to score runs. The Sox have been very aggressive at the plate and on the base paths. But is the low OBP and walk rate in April a sustainable means for success? Sox still waiting for Gio, Lynn, Kelly, Moncada and Pollock to return to action. After Cleveland, the Sox will face another AL Central foe in the Twins. Keep the winning ways going and stay healthy. Go Sox.
The White Sox took 2 of 3 from the Detroit Tigers and are ready for the Home Opener. After a rough loss on Opening Day, the Sox bounce back with back-to-back wins thanks to Dylan Cease and Andrew Vaughn. Unfortunately, the Sox deal with more injury issues. Lucas Giolito was pulled from his Opening Day start due to an oblique strain. AJ Pollock left Saturday's game with a hamstring issue. Do you follow the career of players after they leave the White Sox? We talk about Carlos Rodon's impressive start with the Giants and whether or not we'll be following his progress throughout the season. It's the Home Opener this week. The Sox welcome an improved Seattle team then Tampa comes to town. Looking forward to getting back to the ballpark. Thanks for the continued support and Go Sox!
Hey Sox fans, Spring Training has wrapped up and the White Sox are turning their attention to the regular season. We make some individual and team predictions as well as discuss where this team can still get stronger. Lance Lynn is sidelined with a right knee issue for possibly 8 weeks. Where will the extra innings come from and is Johnny Cueto really an answer? We say goodbye to Zack Collins and wrestle with the lack of production from our recent first round draft picks. This 2022 White Sox team is extremely talented and will be very fun to watch. Get ready, Opening Day is almost here. Go Sox!
Hey Sox fans, Nick and Pat discuss the Vaughn injury, TLR's problem with Sox fans and the return of Miller Lite. There are just a handful of Spring Training games left but Vaughn is on the shelf due to a hip injury while making a catch in RF. TLR feels like there options to play RF within the organization and if you are looking elsewhere, "you're probably not a White Sox fan." Also, Goose Island will longer have the same presence on the South Side as Molson Coors moves back in to quench the thirst of Sox fans this season. Next week, we make our predictions for the 2022 White Sox season. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox.
Hey Sox fans, Spring Training action is here and we have actual baseball happenings to discuss. Nick and Pat talk about the latest from Arizona while also wondering if there will still be a few moves made before Opening Day. Last November, Rick Hahn talked about the need to address particular positions as well as to put in the work during the off season to field a better team. Has the work been done? The 2022 Sox will be fun and very good but is this current Sox team better than the team that got beat by Houston in the ALDS? We discuss. Thank you for the continued support. Go Sox!
