This week we’re going to talk about The Journey Through Grief…the process of grief and the steps we can take in order to navigate this most difficult experience. My guest is Dr. Robert Baugher, a Professor at Highline Community College in Des Moines, Washington where he teaches courses in the Psychology of Human Relations, Death Education, Understanding AIDS and Suicide Intervention. He is the author of 7 books on grief and bereavement, including Guide to the Bereaved Survivor, Understanding Anger During Bereavement, Understanding Guilt During Bereavement and several more.
We have co-authored 3 books together, The Crying Handbook, In the Midst of Caring and How Much Does It Cost You To Care? He is a Fellow in Thanatology from the Association for Death Education and Counseling and has presented more than 600 workshops on grief and loss. And… we’ve been friends for more than 20 years.
Dr. Bob’s books can be found at The Grief Store at www.griefstore.com or by contacting Bob directly at

We’ll also debut a new feature of our show, sharing “Dumb Things That People Have Said to the Bereaved” so we can moan and groan together. And then we’ll share some helpful words as well. We will also be featuring a new Touchstone thought for the week.
Visit me, Darcie D. Sims, your host, at [email protected] or www.griefinc.com or visit Good Mourning on Face Book. Stop by and travel with Dr. Bob and me as we explore the journey through grief. Talk to you soon. Thanks for the little while.
