FLOW: Finding Love Over Worry –
I don’t know if you noticed this or remember, but when the pandemic started and American politics were in a full effect and effecting us all on a deep level, something else was happening.
Many of the light holders I know and the ones in the public eye, seemed to get quiet. Some of them were being chipped away at (political candy corn) and likely broke down and pulled away and some of them seemed to not have answers and got quieter and quieter.
Then there were the non-public light holders, the man at the market who always had a smile and now he looked heavy and broken or my neighbor who always welcomed the kids over for cookies, had turned off her porch light. Either way, we lost some of the light posts or at least the illusion of them.
But I realize that we didn’t really lose anything or anyone. We just had to look in the mirror. We had to remember that we are ALL the holders of the light. There are no gurus, no one is coming in on a white horse. It is us and it has been us, all along. We can choose to hold the light. We can choose to make decisions that are born from love and we can help to remind each other of our individual power.
We are the legacy of light and we can shine it forward, one lemon bar at a time.
