UMass hockey coach Greg Carvel shares his keys to success For Greg Carvel, Head Coach of the NCAA Championship hockey team at UMass, the math for creating a high-performance team is simple: People provide character, character creates culture, and culture wins championships. Coach Carvel joined Willy Walker on the Walker Webcast to share how he took one of the worst programs in the country and made it the best, what did he do to recruit top talent, and how he is able to stay on top with so many players heading to the NHL. Greg begins by discussing how culture is critical to style, and he stresses the importance of being humble and letting others praise your virtues.
