Pardon our quality. The dogs, and kids in the background, the lack of mics and makeup...we're doing the best we can, and we still manage to disappoint sometimes. We talk in this episode about how we are just normal people and that it is a good reminder to be curious instead of jumping to conclusions and assuming things. This podcast was hard to get done. If you're listening, it can be obnoxious with the sound problems, and the pauses, and at times the squirreling. But if you're watching, you'll see we are juggling kids coming in and out of our "studios," dogs that won't leave us alone, sore backs from improper chairs, lack of quality wifi, no microphones and dim lighting. Don't judge a podcast by its cover or its sound! We do the best we can!

We give you a rare unfiltered podcast. We talk about the final mediation, the stipulations, the waiting, the arguing and a little bit of spicy Julie and as always, level-headed Carley. Join us for an episode you won't hear everyday. It's a goodie.

Single parenting is hard. There is no backup, there is no relief party, and no partner. It's not even single parenting, it's solo parenting. And it's impossible. Julie talks about trying to become something in the midst of battling kids that are defiant and remembers being left at the dinner table after a selfish disagreement.

Closet casting tonight. We talk about some of our life's mottos, the motivation behind them and the tender mercies we've had along the way. Through moments of despair and heartbreak, God sent people to the right place at the right time and continues to. Even if it's one shaded spot at a time.

It’s been interesting to read back on my journal to see the deep dark place I was in a year ago this month. And as difficult as it’s been, I’ve been able to see how far I’ve come. And how far I have to go. But I’m putting the reps in and I don’t give up. God did not send me to fail.

The dreaded mediation has come and gone, but is it resolved and over? 4 years later and the litigation continues. But hopefully coming to an end sooner than later. We talk about expectations placed on women, frustrations with the inequality in the justice system, and digging out of the rubble when it seems like everything is going against you.

Dreading upcoming mediation but Julie has nothing to lose going in and she talks about why. Also a recap on the off the record event at Sundara held earlier, and can we just say Legos?

We're back in the closet baby. So many things to talk about and not enough time to do it. But it's real and raw and from the heart. We talk about the neighbor tampering with an engine, more court updates, and the generosity of strangers. It's a good one!

e had our favorite guests on the podcast again to talk about abuse, the power and control wheel, red flags and intimate partner violence. Leah Moses and Dana Tingey are experts in domestic abuse and gave anecdotal evidence of how it is hidden in plain sight. If you need help, click the resources below.

Today we get into the nitty gritty of the stalker next door. And no matter how much evidence we have, or times he’s been arrested, or orders the police have to put him in jail, he always walks out the same day every time. It’s hard for find the justice in all of it, and wonder if any of it even matters?

Some weeks, we share what’s happening in our own lives. Other weeks, we sit down with women whose experiences have something to teach us, alongside experts who help us understand ourselves and our options.
My Latter-day Saint faith is part of my story and these conversations. So are laughter, hard questions, and days when we’re still figuring it out.
We don’t always know what comes next, but we have plenty to talk about along the way.
