Cynane Shay is an engineer who was raised in an Evangelical community in Florida. 

While her friends spent their summers involved in IBLP all-girls camps, she tackled the duality between studying in a college STEM program, while maintaining her conservative religious beliefs.

It wasn’t until the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 that she realized cults, conspiracy theories, and social/political unrest would tear apart the relationships she thought she would have with people for the rest of her life.
