The Grunts sit down without a guest this week and talk we always do when its just us chilling.
For Grunts Gear and Gadgets we cooked an Alpine Aire Mac and Cheese and it was good. We reserve the right to our opinion and we are still on team Mountain House but as this podcast continues we will continue to bring you different brands of freeze dried foods so you can get our opinions on what to pack in your bag on a getaway.
For Appalachian Ales and Tales we have a short back and forth on the merits of full bodied beers versus light and Ultra light brews.
For the Wellness Check this week we had a brother pass away this week and we discuss the importance of finding help and reaching out to your brothers to talk to so you can get yourself squared away and back on the road to prosperity.
You can reach out to us on our social media platforms if you need to talk or to shoot us a random message, we love the interaction.

Grunts in Appalachia Out!
Guest Mike Perry joined the Grunts this week and he brought the goodies. West Virginia black bear that he harvested and had made into sausage with some local hot sauces.
Mike runs a program during the holiday season called the Turkey Bowl that raises money for veterans in need and also collects items for veterans in need throughout the year.
The hot sauces were delicious and we all partook in the heat, John can't handle heat so check out the video on our Facebook page Grunts in Appalachia.
For Grunts Gear and Gadgets we talk about the importance of everyone owning a LifeStraw and having it readily available for any time you have a need for it.
On Appalachian Ales and Tales we ate the bear meat with hot sauces and enjoyed every second of it as well as discussing the each flavor of this local goodie.
For the Wellness Check we speak about being yourself and allowing yourself time to find the people that will accept you as you are and not trying to fit into anyone else's shoes.
You can checkout all of our social medias as well.

We had our first repeat guest on this week Mr. Yiorgie Alexandropoulos from Episode 8 Grunts Go Greek.
For Grunts Gear and Gadgets we received a bunch of gear from Brash Tactical and did the box opening on the episode. After wearing their Hybrid belt for work in the construction industry we can say that these belts stand up to the test. Check them out on your social medias and use coupon code Grunts10 to receive a 10% discount at checkout. The slings that we got we haven't tested yet but we did have Nate sit on one and we picked him up and it held with no problems.
For Appalachian Ales and Tales we decided that we want to hear from our listeners about their favorite beverages so we can check them out and give them a try.
For the Wellness Check we discuss how we all slowed down on our drinking and having moderation in life is something that's hard to achieve but worth the rewards.
This week was the Nascar Daytona 500 and we watched the entire thing for the first time. We had a blast and we discus the race from a rookie perspective so if you can educate us we are up for the challenge.

This week we sat down with the co owner of Davis' Place Bar and Grill. We were on location with a packed bar which made it all the more fun to say the least.
Gifford is a small town man that loves to give back to his community. He legitimately enjoys being surrounded by people that he can bring on the journey to success with him.
We talk about his bar on Appalachia Ales and Tales while our table was covered in draft beers that his amazing staff just kept on bringing without us even having to ask.
For the Wellness Check we delve into some controversy that has erupted right here in the heart of Appalachia revolving around religion and education.
For Grunts Gear and Gadgets we highlighted a Marine owned business that has sent us hats and t shirts along with a very nice hand written letter. The business is called Bullhide Denim Company. You can check them out on their social medias and give them a like and follow.
You can find us on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube as well.
Thanks for listening!
The Grunts sit down with a box on the table from Mad Viking Beard Company. If you want to see what's in the box you can check our Facebook page where we videoed the box opening.
Two things coming up this week, Valentines Day will happen prior to the next episode so we touch on it in the Wellness check and the vulnerable people out there that don't have anyone for the commercial holiday. Secondly, the Superbowl. Nate and Brandon talk at length about why they want to see who they want to win but everyone claims who they want so tune in for that.
Grunts Gear and Gadgets was entirely centered around the unboxing of products from Mad Viking Beard Company and fellas if you have a beard you need to check them out. the products are top notch for sure.
Appalachian Ales and Tales we highlight the Mountain Don't from The Peddler which is their newest brew and tastes just like Mountain Dew which also is the taste of Appalachia in our humble opinion, well that and pepperoni rolls.
Social medias are Facebook Grunts in Appalachia, Instagram Grunts_in_Appalachia, website www.gruntsinappalachia.com and Youtube Grunts in Appalachia. On Youtube we have the first six episodes uploaded so if you're new to our podcast go give us a subscribe on there and let your ears enjoy our good times together.
The Grunts sit down with an aspiring politician. Chris Miller is the President of one of the major car dealerships in West Virginia and is now running for Governor!
If you live in West Virginia you need to check this man out. He's as real as they come. He doesn't pull Punches and speaks from the heart. Chris talks about his battle with addiction with alcohol and how he overcame it. He talks about pharmaceutical companies and how they are stealing the hearts and souls of the people that live in his area. He delves into his beliefs of marijuana and other controversial subjects.
Grunts Gear and Gadgets is the Baofeng UV5R hand held radio and all its uses for everyday life and how it can be used in an emergency situation.
Appalachia Ales and Tales is on Body Armour drinks and how good they are. Since Chris Miller has lived in sobriety for more than 15 years we didn't want to highlight and alcoholic beverage ever though Brandon and John were actively drinking some brews.
The Wellness Check was great as Chris explained how he battled and won alcoholism and turned his life into a success story.
Check it out on all platforms like Apple podcasts, Spotify or Podbean. There are some episodes uploaded to Youtube as well with more coming in the days ahead.
You can find us on Facebook under the handle Grunts in Appalachia, Instagram Grunts_in_Appalachia, Youtube Grunts in Appalachia and the same on Twitter and Tiktok. We just started the website at www.gruntsinappalachia.com
This is a completely clean episode that is family friendly, just wanted to throw that out there.
On this episode we sat down with Lexi Svingos of Lexi's Busy Bees cleaning service.
Lexi is a Huntington native and a member of the Greek community.
Like always there's plenty of good times, well on this episode it was mostly laughs and having fun.
This episode starts out with us introducing Lexi and going into the Wellness Check. We discuss Lexi and her amazing weight loss journey of over 100 pounds to date. We also discuss how veterans are used to always having someone around. Then when you discharge from the military you're all by yourself and for many veterans they get stuck in their heads.
Grunts Gear and Gadgets was hand selected to be something that we knew Lexi could jump in on so we discussed room inspections and the proper way to get glass clean. Its not regular paper towels just to let you know.
For the Ales and Tales portion we mostly were trying to figure out what color the bottle of Hendricks Gin was and I don't think we ever came to a solid conclusion.
You can check us out on Instagram at Grunts_in_Applachia on Facebook at Grunts in Appalachia and we are also on Youtube with the same handle.

We had a blast hanging with a fellow veteran. Garry was a Navy Corpsman and is now actively in the Army National Guard as an officer. Garry was named King of the Mountain State for boxing this year so he's legit the best heavyweight boxer in the state which we thought was awesome. \
For Grunts Gear and Gadgets we talk about Sure fire Flashlights and how the military uses them.
Appalachian Ales and Tales we high light The Peddlers Brawndo Grape Sour and its all around deliciousness.
For the Wellness check we discuss how a Corpsman doesn't just fix the physical problems with their men they are also confidants that listen and a lot of the time give you solid advice.
Like always we have a few serious moments mixed into the raucous talk that we always bring to every episode. Go check it out!
Episode 25 coming in today and it was a wild weekend. Black eyes and black biceps along with a broken TV is how it happened. listen to the end to get the full story.
There's not much else to say about this episode. We hit Grunts Gear and Gadgets, Appalachian Ales and Tales and the Wellness check are all on point but the real show starts at the beginning of the wellness check.
Check it out as you shall not be disappointed.
Brandon is out this week dealing with some illness so Nate and John sit down like the beginning of this podcast process and work it out. \
Grunts gear and Gadgets is about Mountain House freeze dried food and the takeaways from eating it during the episode.
For Appalachian Ales and Tales we speak on some of our favorite brands of brews and our go to brew in hand.
On the wellness check we discuss a little about Covid and how its effected Johns family presently and would love to have some feedback from the listeners that are going through the same things currently.
