¿Qué es lo más importante cuando aprendes español?¿La gramática?¿La pronunciación? ¿El vocabulario?

Esto me lo preguntaba una alumna hace unos meses, y de su pregunta he sacado un nuevo episodio para el Podcast.

Por supuesto hay que intentar mejorar en todas las áreas, y si quieres, yo te acompaño. (Puedes registrarte en mi Newsletter y cada semana te enviaré un mail con expresiones, ejercicios y consejos para mejorar tu español 😉. Puedes hacerlo AQUÍ) 

Pero es cierto también, que hay algunos errores que son "peores" que otros, por la sencilla razón de que la persona que te escucha no te va a entender, o le vas a generar confusión.

Al final, aprendemos un nuevo idioma para COMUNICARNOS con los demás, para hacernos entender. Y sí, hay algunos errores que, si cometes, puedes generar malentendidos, o que la otra persona no entienda lo que le quieres decir. Hoy te hablo de 3 cosas que tienes que tener en cuenta al aprender español.

What is the most important thing to consider when learning Spanish? Grammar? Or pronunciation? Vocabulary?

A few months ago, a student asked me this question, and it inspired a new episode of the podcast.

Of course, you should try to improve in all areas, and I'll be here to help if you need me. (You can sign up for my newsletter and every week I'll send you an email with expressions, exercises, and tips to improve your Spanish 😉. You can do so HERE).

However, it's also true that some mistakes are "worse" than others. For example, the person listening to you might not understand you, or you might cause confusion.

Ultimately, we learn a new language to COMMUNICATE with others and make ourselves understood. Yes, there are some mistakes that can lead to misunderstandings if you make them, or that the other person doesn't understand what you're trying to say. Today I'm going to talk about three things you need to keep in mind when learning Spanish.

El verano en España es infinito, no termina nunca....o por lo menos esa es la sensación que tenemos el 90% de los padres españoles.

Casi 3 meses donde trabajar con los niños en casa se convierte en misión imposible.

Quizás por eso, porque el "parón" es tan largo, septiembre es para muchos un "volver a empezar". Un momento para marcarse nuevos objetivos, para comenzar, por fin, esa dieta, o apuntarse al gimnasio, o aprender una segunda lengua...

A mi me encanta.

Summer in Spain is endless, it never ends... or at least that's how 90% of Spanish parents feel.

Almost three months where working with children at home becomes mission impossible.

Perhaps that's why, because the ‘break’ is so long, September is for many a ‘new beginning’. A time to set new goals, to finally start that diet, or join the gym, or learn a second language...

I love it.

Ya estamos oficialmente en verano, y la gran mayoría de mis alumnos se toman un descanso para viajar, ver a la familia, estar con sus hijos.... Yo hago lo mismo, me encanta el verano.

Desconectar y descansar es MUY importante para la cabeza, para el cuerpo, para todo.... pero si hablamos de los idiomas, cuidado con desconectar al 100% durante un largo periodo de tiempo, porque como ya te he dicho en otras ocasiones, los idiomas no son como andar en bici, los idiomas se olvidan.

Pero, no es incompatible descansar y disfrutar, con aprender.

Summer has officially arrived, and most of my students are taking a break to travel, visit family and spend time with their children. I do the same — I love summer!

Disconnecting and resting is very important for the mind and body, but be careful not to disconnect completely from languages for a long period of time. As I've said before, languages aren't like riding a bike; they can be forgotten.

Resting and enjoying yourself doesn't have to mean stopping learning.
