When the hurt and pain from a situation gets stored in our body, it has a way of coming out in a really ugly way.
As a parent, I noticed that the pains and insecurities I held onto were being projected on my daughter and this was my sign to go deeper into my stored memories and begin to forgive myself and others for the hurt and struggle I was living in.
I've used somatic therapies, and continue to do so, to help further connect my body and mind, and help me release negative emotions and limiting beliefs.
One of the easiest practices you can do on your own is journaling--letting your pen connect with paper and really let things flow out of you.
When I first started, I didn't know where to begin and I was inconsistent. I created a 21-day Mindfulness Journal to help others get started on their practice.
Doing daily reflections and using the prompts I created will help you further connect with the present moment and yourself, and have more: awareness, peace, gratitude, and harmony.

If you're a woman having trouble accepting and forgiving yourself for the shame and guilt of having a bigger body or not loving the skin you're in, and you desire to make peace with the loud inner critic that has you obsessing, regretting, or loathing yourself, I invite you to join my Private Facebook Page and attend the Live Fundraising Event April 7th where I will be Co-Hosting with Dr. Lindsey Mansueto from Flemington Chiropractic Center to discuss Intuitive Eating and Self-Love Practices.
Join me on Instagram every Tuesday evening at 8:30 pm EST for Tea Talk with yours truly. I hold a discussion on topics related to doubt, fears, emotional awareness and agility, conscious parenting, personal discovery, somatic therapies, and all things good for the body and soul.
