According to the lawsuit, the original 2024 stream shows Piker sarcastically mocking a conservative commentator during a debate, and Jennings added a caption presenting words Piker never said as a direct quote. The complaint alleges Jennings was notified the video was false and refused to retract it.

The suit brings counts for defamation per se, defamation by implication, and false light, seeking $27.5 million in compensatory damages and $45 million in punitive damages, plus a jury trial. Piker will need to prove actual malice. Jennings has not yet responded in court.

The case follows months of attacks on Piker from Democratic establishment figures and cable news after he campaigned with Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan.

A redacted FBI summary also states that Epstein introduced Melania Trump to Donald Trump.

According to Cole, Mohammed bin Zayed and Mohammed bin Salman placed roughly $2 billion in accounts tied to Kushner, including $750 million in an account owned by an Emirati charity and about $1 billion parked at Israel's central bank at Benjamin Netanyahu's urging. Cole reports none of it was disclosed, raising bribery and foreign agent questions.

The contrast with two years of House investigations into Hunter Biden is hard to miss. So is the second term, with Kushner and Steve Witkoff negotiating with Vladimir Putin over Ukraine and with Gulf states over Iran while Kushner raises billions for his fund.

For Hawk, the Kushner corruption report is a roadmap for Democratic congressional investigations after the midterms, which makes Hakeem Jeffries' private meeting with Kushner even harder to explain.

It started with the pro-Ramaswamy ad featuring Amy Acton's estranged mother, who sided with her husband, Acton's abuser, in court when Acton was 12. Acton had already spoken publicly about her childhood. She became a physician, led the Ohio Department of Health, and is now running for governor. And the first time she has seen her mother in 48 years is in an attack ad.

It took Hawk most of the day to understand why it hit so hard. His own relationship with his late mother was complicated: a gifted nurse, a fierce advocate for her kids, the source of his empathy and his curiosity, and also the person who hurt him most. They went years without contact before reconciling at the end of her life. Nothing close to what Acton endured, but the betrayal of a parent leaves its own mark.

Layered on top of it all: Ted Nugent opening for Donald Trump, the Epstein files, and a country that keeps excusing harm to women and children.

The last eleven years have felt like an abusive relationship, built on chaos designed to keep everyone dysregulated and exhausted. Trump's bargain with his voters is broken. The Iran war and tariffs have hit their gas tanks and grocery bills, his approval sits near record lows, and voters see a family cashing in. This isn't a blue wave. It's a red voter revolt, playing out in Texas, Florida, Alaska, Maine, Ohio, North Carolina, and Kansas.

Their red line turned out to be gas prices. Fine. Vote for Democrats up and down the ballot.
