It's been over 50 years since this incredible game.

The game that made David Parkin a premiership captain, John Kennedy a dual premiership coach, and the likes of Leigh Matthews, Peter Hudson, Don Scott and Peter Crimmins premiership players.

What a star studded line up it was.

And of course who could forget Hawks' Team of the Century Full Back - and one of the best to ever do it - Kelvin Moore.

The superstar joins us to discuss the iconic 1971 premiership, and the never-before-heard stories that came with it.

It feels like we say this every week but there was so much to talk about from a Hawthorn perspective again this week. The Insiders spoke to plenty of things which involved the Hawks, including:

No Hawk has ever booted more goals in a single game than Jason Dunstall's incredible 17-goal haul against Richmond in Round 7, 1992.

In this week's Golden Years Revisited podcast, we were joined by Dunstall, Hawthorn's greatest goalkicker of all-time, as he recounted this historic performance.

Many would argue such a feat will never be repeated in modern football, so why not reminisce until your heart's content.

Hawthorn got the win against a very poor North Melbourne team on Sunday afternoon under the roof at Marvel. It was the Hawks second win against the Roos this year, following the 19 point win in Round 3.

Poor kicking is poor football and our inaccuracy in front of goal allowed the Roos to stay in the game for longer than they deserved to be.

Listen as Danny Prins and Andrew Weiss return from their respective breaks to cast their eye over this one. Is Karl Amon worth what the Hawks are paying him? Does James Worpel deserve an extra year on his new deal? What need to change to see more of the second half Hawks?

Hear from Hawthorn’s vice-captain and half-forward Dylan Moore after the win against North Melbourne that creates more space between the Hawks and their opponents on the ladder.

Moore spoke about how the match was a ‘tough grind’ and how Mitchell’s message at half time was for the players to ‘finish' their work’.

Moore was incredibly humble in his description of his game, stating that he thought he played his role, created pressure and helped his team out.

The Hawks were left lamenting another close loss against GWS. But as opposed to our two-point Gather Round loss, where a Harry Himmelberg  speccy was the difference between both sides, the Hawks were lucky to be within touching distance at the final siren.

Still, it was a much improved performance after an awful showing against the Blues.
