  • Father and Son Connected Forever Through Space and Time

Welcome to Healing From Within. I am your host Sheryl Glick Reiki Master Energy Teacher and author of the newest book in a trilogy A New Life Awaits: Spirit Guided Insights to Support Global Awakening which shares stories and messages from Spirit that show us our challenges are not merely economic political or societal but often a disconnect from our true being or inner soul connections to all of life. In today’s show I am delighted to have Joe McQuillen join us for a second time to talk about his new book We’re Not Done Yet, Pop Previously we discussed his book My Search for Christopher on the Other Side revealing a mixture of narrative, italicized visits with Chris from the other side, input and conversations with respected psychic mediums which is relatable to anyone who has experienced loss or even anyone who has imagined it. As listeners of the show well know my intuitive and compassionate guests who wish to bring comfort and hope to those open hearted minds who seek to know more about the human and divine connection share intimate and insightful stories that help us realize that we are more than our physical life and that this physical life offers opportunities to expand our soul and human capacity to love and deeply care for life here and beyond as we are spiritual beings having a physical life and life is eternal.. for those who know, it is the truth and reality and helps to move us past all challenges knowing we are loved and guided from a creative Universal Energetic Force of Love and Compassion.

In today’s episode of Healing from Within Joe will continue to help parents with troubled teens understand addiction and for those who have lost a child friend or parent that while our body is left behind after physical death, our energy continues to find connection with our loved ones from both sides of the veil. Joe continues to serve as an example of how one can establish an ongoing relationship with loved ones who have passed. He models total commitment to learning about his son’s new state of being and as a result helps readers heal and once again treasure life in its entirety. Joe calls himself an ordinary man but perhaps like each of us is a unique and magnificent source of soul creation and possibilities for growth.

I always love to ask my guests to think back to their childhood and remember a person place or event that may have shown them or others the lifestyle they would embrace as an adult for often the destiny or life plan for us is visible at an early age or sometimes when we look back we realize why certain events happened. Joe tells us that when his son died in a canoe accident with 3 other friends in 2016 this major tragedy put him on this metaphysical path? He had some sense through his Catholic upbringing that there might be a life beyond this life but his search to communicate with his son brought him beyond any skepticism to put the puzzle pieces of his own life together and to begin to accept that his son’s fate in the universal plan was as it must be. After my son Christopher drowned in a canoe accident in 2016 I wasn’t ready to accept a world with him. I wanted to know where he went, so I began a search. And if the answers suggested “nowhere, “ I wanted to know that, too. What I found changed my life forever.

Sheryl tells Joe how as a sensitive child she felt there was more to life than what she was being taught, but not having a family who believed in the afterlife had her fears as they all did about life and dying.

In her book Life is No Coincidence The Life and Afterlife Connection Sheryl describes the visit from her grandfather in a dream while she was sick with the flu and he told her she had to write something for her father. The very next day she received a phone call from her mom saying dad had passed.

Sheryl wrote his eulogy as her grandfather suggested she must and said….” I spoke of a man having many different faces as perceived by the different people who frequented his life. To myself, I wondered whom he had been in other lifetimes, but then forced myself to focus on what he meant to the many mourners attending, to the family, relatives, friends and patients who were part of him in this lifetime. He was a son, a brother, a father, a husband and a professional. My father was a podiatrist, which also made him a colleague, a friend of so many friends who had been comforted, had been touched by their memories of him. So many patients had been healed by “his golden hands.” However, his most important role was that of a soul housed in a human body who had to balance his life forces with his earthly personality and arrive at the knowledge, toward the end of his journey on earth, that he was, more than anything, a spirit of life, love and eternal unconquerable energy

Joe tells us that the first book wasn’t even in my plan, much less this one, but as I now know it was in Chris’ plan. It was in the Universe’s plan. When I was finishing book now, My Search for Christopher on the Other Side, Chris came to me and said, “We’re not done yet Pop.” Thus began the title for the next book.

Like Joe Sheryl says when she was told during her first reading by a medium a gift to her at a Christmas party that she was going to write three books she responded by saying “I don’t think so.” But our loved ones and guides in Spirit know our destiny and are with us to help us accomplish our soul goals. Later Sheryl was told by another medium that when she walked on the boardwalk by the ocean many of the thoughts were from her father who was helping her download thoughts to be included in the book, He was helping Sheryl as Christopher helped Joe to share this wondrous message of life after life, and infinite love to all who would embrace this miracle.

Absolutely! There will be a third book. I’m working on the third book now. Chris told me in the second book that we will be doing this together until it’s my time to cross. I’m not that old, so there may be many more!

We know Chris helped you complete this book and how does this book differ from the first book? It’s far more detailed and complete. And Chris was with me for every paragraph…every key stroke. It’s really his story.

Joe’s family is part of this journey to learn more about life in the dimensions beyond this physical life. Joe tells us he is loved and supported by Sally his wife of thirty years and his two kids Caroline and William. Sally is just finishing her first book and it will be brilliant and heartfelt. But all of us have our own path. And we all deal with the grief in our own way. But I know that Chris is guiding them all in their daily lives.

When Joe is asked if he ever have any doubts he responds and tell us, “Yes, Early on, I did. And I would get a message from my boy: “Really Dad?” It was sort of a cosmic “You gotta be kidding me!” After all that has been revealed to me, I just bought in. Sheryl says it was the same for her at the beginning when she was trying to find to why her grandfather came to her in a dream the night before her father passed and could people really get messages from the souls of their loved ones. Sheryl says to Joe that she was brought up in a methodical practice approach to life and not being taught to believe in life after death was a skeptic as well, but after many coincidences synchronicity and meditation and studying with master teachers she herself began to receive a downloading of information: impressions, visions sounds thoughts feelings from spirit that proved to be accurate and welcomed by her clients many whom were suffering loss and health issues. As a result of these successful messages, she finally realized and truly accepted that life is not random and many of the experiences places and people we are meeting are programed into our soul’s life plan and we are assisted by Spirit. Since we survive physical death, our soul is eternal and always creating new ways to evolve and reach higher levels of love and compassion. A physical life seems one way for the soul to move through emotion and feel at higher levels of awareness and to correct refine or improve past relationships. As we journey through many lifetimes with many of the same people in our soul group we grow as well. Sheryl has discovered that for those who know, no proof is necessary and for those who do not know, these simple truths of life no proof will suffice.

Joe might tell the naysayers in his life good luck in finding your own path . I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything. I just want folks whose loved ones have transitioned (died) to know that they are still here. Still around us. Still accessible to us.

Sheryl says, “And perhaps they will one day see a sign or sense an energy or learn to meditate and be in silence and feel the shift in energy around them as they say their loved one’s name and talk to them just as if they could see them physically.”

Joe tells us he always believed in an afterlife. Just like I believed in a lot of things I couldn’t prove. But I didn’t think that I was facing death anytime soon. I didn’t dwell on the subject.

Sheryl says “It’s good not to focus thoughts on fearful or negative issues for our thoughts create our reality here in the physical world and if you think you will get ill, lose a job or relationship, or die, chances are those things materializing in life may happen. Sheryl remembers just before her mom passed, she said to her “Mom, go be with God and I will see you soon.” Then Sheryl remembered the universe might take her literally so she revised that thought and said, “Mom go with God and I will see you later.”

Sheryl asks Joe when did his new understanding of soul life become a knowing. Joe tells us that five minutes after he sat down with Andrew Anderson a medium, on June 30, 2016 he revealed things from Chris that no one except me knew. Joe went from believing to knowing at that moment. The visit is chronicled in Joe’s first book My Search For Christopher on the Other Side.

Joe writes, “I almost always connect with Chris on beaches at night. I experienced my strongest connection with Chris on a beach at night in Sarasota Florida in 2016. But it’s rare that I don’t feel him around me on any beach at night. Maybe it’s because when I walk on the beach my intention is to connect. Even before my feet hit the sand, I reach out to him through the field to let him know I’m heading to a beach to talk. As sure as I’m writing this, I feel a tingle on the back of my neck and an energy wash over me. My Chris is present and we are connected.“

11 What is the one thing you want to tell parents who have lost a child? I will continue down the path of learning loving writing and speaking to parents who have lost kids. Be it on Zoom in person groups or one on one. Chris has put me on this path of service and has given me a great gift to share. But this kind of gift that you have to give away in order to keep it.

Joe also likes to share a greater awareness of what soul and physical life are really and writes, “The best explanation about what happens when your soul leaves your body at the time of physical death comes from a movie, What Dreams May Come. In the film, Cuba Gooding plays a spirit guide to the recently deceased doctor portrayed brilliantly by Robin Williams. He explains it this way: “The origins of the word “body” is the Anglo-Saxon “bodig” meaning abode. Which is what the physical body is, you see. A transient dwelling for the real self. Like you’re in your house right now. You’re in your house, that doesn’t mean you are your house. House falls down, your soul gets out and walks away.”

Sheryl says she has done readings soon after a soul departed. Her client called her shortly after her daughter’s 19-year-old boyfriend had died and everyone was devastated. I immediately sat down in my office and went into meditation and I saw Michael leave his body following light beings guiding him forward. He showed me he was lying on the ground and his soul was above the scene looking down. Several people had put a jacket under his head and he was not alone. He had left his body quickly upon impact and there was no pain only sadness that his mother father family and Jessica his girlfriend would be so sorry this had happened. But he knew it was his time and he would always be near-by to those he loved and then he followed the light beings as they guided him forward.

Joe reveals that he will never be over his son’s death No. But I also don’t want to. Joe lives a full and happy life but a piece of him will never heal until we are together again, on the other side. When I’m home with him. Anyone who says that time heals all wounds hasn’t lost a child.

When Joe is asked if his boy’s death pre-determined…was it in the stars he answers, “I believe not…I know that we have free will. I also believe we have exit points in our lives. Kind of like off ramps on a freeway. Those converge with a death or a transition, when we cross from this realm to the next. How that works exactly may be revealed to me while researching the next book or when I cross over. But I am confident at some point I’ll figure it out.

Sheryl says that she senses that the time for our return home is pre-determined, as we have a time to come and a time to go, and are constantly coming and going from this life to other lives where we continue to grow and evolve as we refine our soul energy. However, some believe there is in spirit the Akashic Records or a Book of Life for each soul, and in each soul’s ledger the challenges are written that they will face in each life they incarnate into. Before being born, souls work with teachers guides angels and incorporate into their life story, events that will ultimately empower their personal and collective growth. I think the way we leave this physical life is already in that plan or “pre-determined” by each soul. Free will of course gives us the opportunity to deal with any challenge or life issue in our own way and perhaps repair any wounds to the soul by making better choices for new challenges, but perhaps, we don’t have free will about the time of our passing and the way we will pass, as that was determined by us before we entered this lifetime and in conjunction with other souls who are affected by our passing, often enabling them to find new ways to enhance their own understanding of themselves or life in general. Sometimes a loved one gives a gift to those he or she loves in the way and time of their passing though it may not be apparent at that hurtful moment.

Joe might want readers of We’re Not Done Yet Pop to take away with them after reading your book that this book is a follow up to My Search for Christopher on the Other Side which chronicled Joe’s search and connection with his son during the first two years after his death or crossing over. What he discovered has changed his path and changed his life. “Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass… It’s about learning to dance in the rain. As written by Vivian Greene.

Joe might like you to know that who we are as spiritual beings having a physical life makes total sense. We need to separate who we are—our soul, our spirit from our body or earthly personality, which is a temporary structure housing our true self and eternal being. This knowing is a magnificent revelation but it doesn’t take the pain away from the loss of a loved one especially a child. Knowing you can connect to your child through mediums and eventually if you work on understanding energy meditation and putting the intention forward to connect, you can do it yourself without the help of mediums. It is a process and with time we all can feel the energy flow around us and know our spiritual loved ones are near.

We thank you Joe McQuillen author of We’re not Done Yet Pop for his conscientious study of the Afterlife and his detailed stories of connection to his son Christopher who fully intended to engage his father in the process of sharing what the afterlife reveals about life here on earth and beyond.

In summarizing today’s episode of Healing from Within we have shared Joe’s ongoing relationship with his son Christopher in Spirt while learning more about a soul’s new state of life or being after physical death. Joe models total commitment to sharing all his son shares with him as it is both the destiny and desire of both to help readers learn more about what awaits each of us at the time of physical death and how we are never far from our loved ones as it appears heaven and earth are merged, as are soul and physical life. There are different dimensions and layers of energy and spirit, but ultimately, we are part of the divine creative force of love and compassion and life gives our soul the opportunity to experience emotions and feelings on a deeper level as we refine our thoughts and actions, to improve personal and collective growth through experiences of all kinds. We discuss astral travel near death experiences and share the loving messages and information Chris shares with his father.

In one message from Chris he says, “It’s a door Dad. When the time comes you just walk through it. You won’t be freaked our or afraid, because of all the time we’ve spent. As soon as you walk through the door I’ll be there. Sorry I had to leave and it’s hard for you to know that it was for the best. But I miss you too and I am sorry for the pain. The pain would have been worse thought. Let it go Dad. Nice meditation this morning. You’re starting to see me in your head ….See the beach Dad? I’m not restless. I’m at peace. You will be too. I’m trying to bring that to you on your side.

Joe and I would have you know that we have shared so many wondrous messages from our loved ones in Spirit and wish you to truly one day know what we know: there is no death, just transformation and transition. Love and life is eternal as each soul lives beyond physical life still exploring the mysteries and wonderment of nature man and Spirit.

  • The Real Truth about Twin Flames

Welcome to Healing From Within with your host Sheryl Glick RMT Reiki Master Energy Teacher medium and author of her newest book in a trilogy A New Life Awaits: Spirit Guided Insights to Support Global Awakening which shares stories and messages from Spirit that show us our challenges in a physical life are not merely economic political or societal but often a deep disconnect from our inner soul wisdom. Sheryl is delighted to welcome Elle Hari, author of Twin Flames Exposed which shares a new way of understanding Twin Souls more productively and with greater insight.

As listeners of Healing From Within are well aware Sheryl and her sensitive and intuitive guests share intimate and insightful stories that help us realize that we are spiritual beings having a physical life which allows the soul to remember who we are and why we have chosen a physical life and then offers us infinite opportunities to work with both our ego based mind reality and our inner master of our emotions as we refine our thoughts and realize that our thoughts and actions are creating either our worst nightmares or most delightful fantasies. We are the masters of our own destiny.

In today’s episode of Healing From Within Elle Hare will share why a study of Twin Flames was so important for her and what she learned from her teacher who was the world’s leading expert on twin flames.

First let’s get a clearer understanding of what Twin Flames really are. Elle says Twin Flames are not Soulmates. What are they and how common are they in this physical life? Twin Flames are actually the same soul. The soul inhabits two physical bodies when it is incarnated here in the three -dimensional physical world with separate polarities like a magnetic negative/positive charge. In order for the soul to return to this plane it has to accommodate the duality of our Earthly manifested existence. So it splits in two—one part going into one body and the other part into another. Your Twin Flame is your identical soul with the opposite charge. Soulmates are just one speck of our shared divine essence but they are not the direct match that a Twin Flame is.

Therefore, everyone is a soul mate but there is only one Twin Flame.

Rumi wrote, “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

Elle tells us how she became interested to learn more about Twin Flames and how she found a teacher who could help her. By the time you release all false thoughts about Twin Flames and love, you will be able to walk the path to physically and lovingly relating with your twin flame in this lifetime. Elle knows this because she worked with many so-called gurus in search of understanding what she was seeking and what eluded her in finding love. She finally began working with for her the only truly conscious and successful twin flame facilitator. Elle invested years of her life working and learning from her every single day until the time she was unable physically to work.

Elle learned that everyone’s twin flame journey is unique and individual but when her twin flame suddenly physically disappeared from her life she was left shattered on the floor wishing to die. Many breakups, whether it be with a Twin Flame or soulmate, are very painful and often take time to recover from. Elle tells us she had been through bad break ups before and even a messy divorce that lasted years but none of them had left her near as heartbroken as this.

She had no idea what was going on and why she was so severely devastated and her twin flame relationship had been only 6 weeks. Elle was so ashamed and disgusted with her reaction and behaviors.

Elle’s breakup was so severe and Elle so desperately wanted to get back together with him. Why was she pulled into different directions in pain, confused, and didn’t want to live without him. She knew she needed help to understand the depth of this attachment and knew she needed a teacher to help her. Finally, after 6 months and several teachers she found an amazing woman who was able to help her get over her gut -wrenching pain in less than a week. And even magnetize Elle’s Twin Flame back into her physical life in no time.

Even after reconnecting with her Twin Flame Elle continued to work with her teacher/mentor learning all about the many conceivable situations that arise from being with a Twin Flame. Elle wrote this book to share all that she learned from the person who she felt shared the greatest knowledge of Twin Flames and to continue to help other twin flames find peace, happiness and unconditional love here on earth.

People can meet and find love with their Twin Flame. The first step to increasing the potentiality of being with your twin flame in the physical world is to empty your cup. Clear your mind of anything and everything you think you know about twin flames and begin with a clean slate. Even if your mind is probably full of questions and conclusions and you’re longing for answers.

The twin flame journey is a journey of the soul. The rules that usually govern relationships don’t apply to twin flames, and if you try to approach anything with your twin flame from that space you’ll only serve to push him/her away in the physical world. This is because what transpires between twin flames isn’t a relationship. It’s a reunion of the soul. Your soul is orchestrating your entire life. It’s doing everything. It brings everyone and everything that’s in your life into and out of it. Everyone of us is operating from our own level of consciousness and we are all exactly where we’re supposed to be at any given moment. It’s all working perfectly. We are also constantly evolving, growing and changing. So if you read this book now and come back to it in a few days, weeks or months the same words could take on an entirely different meaning to you. A twin flame journey is then a journey of the soul. It’s about yourself and has nothing to do with the physical form or personality of your twin flame … .It only has to do with your self—your soul.

Just be aware that the sooner you accept that truth and can shift your focus from the physical form of your twin flame onto and into yourself, the sooner your twin flame will mirror that and start focusing on you as well.

One of the risks of going it solo is a certain mania that accompanies this type of relationship. Elle has developed a proprietary method that helps people overcome the pain and obsessive thoughts associated with a Twin Flame journey and to eventually have a loving physical relationship with their Twin Flames. There is a chance that your opposite polarization can repel your Twin Flame away from you. Some couples make it and others may only be short lived. And then there is a chance you may never actually encounter your Twin Flame.

There are Limiting Beliefs surrounding Twin Flames.

Limiting Belief # 1 Not everyone or only certain people have a twin flame. To realize how this couldn’t be true one must understand the Divine Truth of Creation. This explanation comes from Elizabeth Clare Prophet.

It is thought that from the main source energy (god universe life force nature divine) numerous bodies of light and source energy (ovoids) emerged and from those ovoids even more emerged. Although every ovoid descends fom the same source, they all have their own unique signature vibration that they share with no other ovoid. When you incarnate, you must form two halves of yourself—both maintaining your own unique signature vibration but with a different charge. Think of it like the polarity of a magnet—one half is the negative charge and the other half is the positive charge. The other half of yourself—with the exact signature frequency vibration and opposite charge is your twin flame. We have to do this to incarnate into a physical life on earth because to exist on this plane there must be duality.

In other words, in the physical realm everything has its exact opposite and this is the only place where that exists Examples include: good/bad, light/dark up/down hot/cold and so on. In order to experience duality we must be dual. Incidentally that’s why we incarnate. So that we (ovoids that we are in between lifetimes) can evolve and learn and the only way to truly know and experience something is by experiencing what it is not, or its opposite.

So not only does everyone have a twin flame no one would be here in the physical world without being one. Out of all the beings in the entire cosmos there’s only one out there that shares your exact same soul, who’s identical to you at the very essence of who you are. It’s the most sacred bond there is. And it’s you. Your true self (your soul is also your twin flame’s exact same soul. So who you are the very essence of you on your deepest subconscious level is also your twin flame.

Limiting Belief # 2 Twin Flames and Soul Mates are different words for the same thing. There is only one twin flame for every person. Twin flames are literally two halves of the exact same soul.

You can and do have many soul mates and they can be in many forms: male, female adult child friend, relative lover animal etc. A soul mate is a being with whom you have a close vibrational match.

Limiting Belief #3 You will know without a doubt when you meet your twin flame. You will feel a strong, immediate connection/a sense of knowing/like you are home.” However this love at first sight notion simply isn’t true for the majority of twin flames when they encounter each other for the first time in a lifetime. The truth is there are twin flames who pass each other on the street and have no idea they’re twin flames. Some people have been married to their twin flames and have no idea that they are twin flames.

The majority of twin flames on earth have the same relating experiences with each other as they would with anyone else. To know that you have met your twin flame and have that familiarity and sense of “home” you have to have soul recognition of your twin flame.

It seems that we are part of the very first wave of people who have had soul recognition of their twin flame. People are just recently beginning to have soul recognition of their twin flames on earth. This is happening because the collective consciousness of all people on earth is increasing and at a much faster pace than ever before. As more people’s consciousness increases, it raises the consciousness of the entire world as a whole.

Limiting Belief # 4 There are various phases and stages to the twin relationship including a “runner’ and a “chaser.”

Elle tells us there is no such thing as a runner or chaser. What does Divine Truth of Creation teach us? That our opposing charged energies are what repeal us and our twin flames. So how is that a runner or chaser? It’s merely opposing energies ..think of magnet.

Now on the surface on the physical mental and emotional levels it may appear as though one of the twin flames is running away and the other twin flame is chasing. But we are not really The only thing to concern ourselves with is staying and believing the process and balancing our energy at the deepest subconscious level.

Your soul is a unique vibration of source energy and your soul wants nothing more than to reunite with itself…your other half…your twin flame. You can align enough with your soul to magnetize your twin flame into your life …You are in charge Only you.

Limiting Belief # 5 You (and/or your twin flame) need to heal yourself/clear past life karma/learn certain lessons before you can be together.

Remember this is not a mere physical relationship it is a reunion of the soul. That energy that would be directed toward getting your twin flame is the same energy that often repels your twin flame if it is not balanced within you.

If you are questioning an experience that you thought was a twin flame situation, stop right now. The good news is that it doesn’t matter. Why? Because the twin soul journey is a journey of the soul….YOUR SOUL. If you set our and continue on your journey into yourself and you will find everything you seek along the way.

Even if you’ve never met or don’t know if you’ve met your twin flame in this lifetime the more aligned with yourself you become the greater the potentiality that you will materialize your twin flame into your life. And doing so is the ONLY way you can have a peaceful stable physical relationship with your twin flame.

To know and be with your twin flame you have to balance the opposing energies between you and your twin flame in order to collapse the duality between you. Remember align means to understand or know and love Self equals soul.

You must realize there could be physical challenges to overcome in coming to be with a twin flame such as a rather large age difference, one or both could be married, they could be the same gender when neither twin flame is gay, they could be different races or religions and live on opposite sides of the earth.

Another one is that the initial relating time between the twin flames could be fairly short no longer than 3 months with an average time span of 6 weeks.

Twin flames seem to have similar passions and interests. They could resemble each other in looks especially around the eyes.

Synchronicities start to occur on a regular basis like seeing certain numbers but also hearing the person’s name all over the place or seeing cars like theirs.

Non twin flame relationships can have these characteristics as well.

If for some reason a person is separated from their Twin Flame can they have successful relationships with other soul mates? Of course they can and will.

There are lots of twins being born now. Might some of them be Twin Flames? Does a Twin Flame relationship always have to be a romantic relationship or could it be two people with the same soul here to work on a certain problem and solution?

Remember the Mayans who were extremely conscious civilization by today’s standards. They predicted the world would end 12/12/12. Well the world has begun to enter a new age known as The “New Golden Age” when humans will transition from being mind/ego driven to soulful. It’s a time filled with massive spiritual awakenings and less attachment to limitation and physical and material things. It’s already having a significant impact around the world. Look at all the companies that are “green” and socially more conscious.

In order to become more spiritually awakened as we are now and conscious enough to make this transition it is necessary for people to truly begin to know, understand and love themselves to love their souls. And that’s exactly what the twin flame journey is….an increased awareness of your self on a soul level.

Soul recognition between twin flames is the very first step of that journey which is why more and more people and at a faster rate are experiencing soul recognition of their twin flames. The “first wavers” as they are being called have ventured into little known waters and this is why there is so much erroneous and confusing information surrounding twin flames. There simply haven’t been many people who have experienced soul recognition of their twin flames before now.

Sheryl says that she feels many people seek their other half or to know and be known by a beloved and of course that search is part of the search for self and eternal connection to All that is but the soul must be ready to shift from old beliefs or the physical hold of the outside world and go within and that takes a sense of maturity available often after many challenges. It has been through her readings and connection to higher source that sheryl has begun to realize how many false beliefs hold us back from realizing our spiritual gifts and using them for helping others.

In Sheryl’s book A New Life Awaits Spirit Guided Insights to Support Global Awakening where global awakening is much like an individual soul awakening but on a larger level. she writes, “ Some people think mediums are going against the doctrines of certain religions, and this way of thinking concerns me greatly, as they are rejecting the gifts that God gives all of us through an awareness of a God Consciousness and a love for life and truth, as He raises our consciousness to find our soul divinity. Throughout the earliest recordings of miracles, devoted people have worked to follow God’s messages, to be closer to the Spiritual realms, to help people deal with the human condition, and to create a prosperous, healthy lifestyle worthy of Spirit’s hopes for humanity.

I believe mediums receive their gift from this divine, intelligent energy source and are born to serve. As people mature, look past right and wrong concepts, and accept themselves and the world, they come to know peace and through prayer, meditation, and study, forge a more intimate relationship with the divine so their connection to God deepens.”

Elle might like you to remember Limiting Belief # 6 which says You and your twin flame are destined to fulfill an earthly mission, create a vortex of healing energy, feel each other’s pain, read each other’s’ minds, experience a true Kundalini rising and or ascend together. You’re practically super heroes blessed with a greater number of chakras than normal and you will cause the entire world to fall into complete havoc and devastation, if you and your twin flame are not together.

Here’s the deal. Any and all talk of twin flames having a sacred mission to fulfill or any kind of super powers is a reference to the sacred twin flame reunion and the operative word here is SACRED. While twin flames are the most sacred bond and their coming together is a reunion of the soul the Sacred twin flame union is what occurs when both twin flames have reached ascension.

To reach ascension here on earth means that both twin flames have to be completely aligned with their soul to the point that the physical world (duality) ceases to exist. It means being fully conscious awakened and aligned. But to put this into perspective there is no one currently on Earth who has attained ascension Some people believe that certain people have attained ascension throughout history. These people are known as the Ascended Masters and include esteemed names such as Buddha, Jesus, Mohammad Archangel Michael St Germain, Confuscius and dozens more including the Mayans who were a mystical group of advanced souls.

In summarizing today’s episode of Healing From Within Elle Hari has shown listeners that what most people think they know about Twin Flames isn’t true and by learning the truth you can clear a path towards beginning the process of magnetizing your twin flame back into your life.

As Rumi wrote, “If you find me not within you, you will never find me. For I have been with you from the beginning of me.” As Elle tells us The Process is recognizing and eliminating all limiting beliefs about twin flames and becoming aware that the twin flame journey is a journey of the soul…not the mind. And know that the soul is limitless infinite and eternal. Therefore every twin soul journey is unique and individual. The one thing they all have in common is that they are a journey of the self. To understand, know and love your self is to understand know and love your twin flame. How you do that is by balancing the opposite energies within you and your twin flame and that gets done in the process. Remember that your soul is doing everything and your soul is magnetizing everything and everyone into your life that matches the vibration of the current level of your alignment with your soul.

Remain present and just “be” in the now. Rejoice! Rejoice! Rejoice! and ultimately that is the best way to succeed in all your finest intentions and dreams.

Judy as listeners of the show over the years have discovered my intuitive and open- hearted guests share intimate and insightful stories of awakening to the deepest aspects of their inner being and in doing so spread new understanding of eternal energy and divine possibilities to be and do all that their dreams lead them to becoming better equipped to employ the energy of soul and physical life to create and become the best version of yourself by learning and loving as spiritual beings having a physical life to self master their emotions and have a happy healthy prosperous life journey.

In today’s episode of Healing From Within Judy tells us the day you agree to become “Big” is the humblest day of your life. Because, that’s the day you are truly in service of your best life and the lives around you. Being “big” challenges you to expand your consciousness and live as a free spirit.” We will discover that every human being is born to be remarkable. And yet every human being is shaped by patterns handed down by their ancestors—invisible multi-generational patterns of decisions, thoughts, feelings, actions, reactions and choices that limit their responses to events and influence every decision of their lives, unconsciously running the show. We will uncover these Emotional DNA patterns, embrace them and learn to make new choices and rewire the brain to become like the phoenix the best of who we really are.

When Judy is asked to think back to her childhood and remember a person place or event that may have shown the lifestyle or interests she might embrace as an adult for it seems we are born with a life plan and destiny and the imprint of our ancestors and have merely to remember who we are and what this life is supposed to be about Judy says two things come to mind. She had a teacher who asked for someone to go get medical supplies and Judy jumped up and said I will get them because I’m going to be a doctor and the teacher said that Tracey should do it as she was going to be the doctor and Judy a writer. Judy also remembers when Walt Disney died when she was about eight or nine years old and she felt so bad for she thought who is going to bring magic into the world and she decided she would just have to do it and always open to the “portal of possibility.”

We know people the world over are fascinated with their ancestry. Over 100M family trees have been built on Ancestry.com alone. Judy shows us why it is important to recognize the patterns in your life and also research those family trees for a greater understanding of our Emotional DNA. In her book, we will explore the conscience of systems and understand how “acknowledging what is” is a pivot point to what’s possible for you. You will learn to identify the patterns that want to stop and start for you. You will learn about the wisdom of your heart, brain, and gut and how constellations help to create profound and lasting shifts. We have the incredible ability to evolve into whatever we choose. As you read this book, Decoding Your Emotional Blueprint, you may be shocked to realize the limiting patterns you have unconsciously taken on as your own from past generations. Yet, you will also find yourself inspired by the wisdom of the multigenerational patterns in your family system and their gifts of emotional DNA waiting to be seen, enhanced, or changed through you and for you. Transformation is not for the chosen few. It’s been here waiting for you all along. You are a remarkable being—you just have to know how to see you. Once you learn who you are through the lens of systemic work and constellations, you will see that there is an incredible life just waiting for you to shape and embody it.

There is scientific evidence of Emotional DNA. That said, we are all human, and many people can’t immediately bring themselves to move out of judgment. Perhaps your father is really toxic, and you struggle with even thinking about him. However, when you learn how to see and understand what lives in his experience, something may shift for you. When you do your own deep work and your heart, head, and gut grasp what the family situation really was and see what your father was experiencing that made him so toxic, you may be able to accept the new context this deeper dimension of information creates. Doing so can prompt a new truth for you that allows you to shift . . . which is the whole point. Otherwise, you, too, may unconsciously follow the pattern and become toxic. It’s not about your mom or dad or whoever. It’s about you. When you shift your thoughts and understanding, you can escape ancient history and begin creating new emotional DNA. In doing this, you are also giving part of your emotional blueprint a different meaning and potential outcome. After that, your relationship with your family system and its members—and with yourself—will no longer be the same

We begin to understand our Relationship Patterns in order to become “Unstuck.” This lack of judgment is not easy to adopt, but it is necessary. Getting unstuck from patterns in the family system means approaching issues as openly as possible, exploring the system and all it contains—abuse, sexual molestation, abandonment, joy, sorrow, love, lack of love—with curiosity, so we can find the information that can help us heal. If we judge and reject people or events that occur within a system, we exclude ourselves from a possible source of wisdom—an answer to an inexplicable limitation or the directions for our dreams to follow. For example, I had a client whose mother left her when she was eight. It broke her heart; she had dreadful fears of abandonment and was totally emotionally stuck around this issue. She didn’t trust relationships yet desperately wanted one and kept looking for someone to stay. At the same time, she searched for their flaws and felt terrified they would leave too. Yet when we looked at how independent she was and how good she was at figuring things out, she could see that her mother’s absence had given her the ability to take care of herself and ignited a fierce desire in her to be available to her own children no matter what. Gifts are often disguised and hidden within the pain and messiness of the family system and its dynamics. But they are always there. We have just not been taught to see them. That said, we are all human, and many people can’t imagine why they feel so bad when they make mistakes…they want to be perfect, but in human form we can never be perfect only learning from our mistakes and loving ourselves even through what we feel are failures.

Sheryl tells us of the false illusion of Perfection and in her new book A New Life Awaits writes, “Many seek to be the best they can be and are encouraged to be perfect. They do not allow less for themselves than what others deem to be perfect for them. But since we are always in a state of change, the ideas and wishes of others are not nearly as important as our welcoming the experiences and challenges that surface and handling them to the best of our ability. We should aim to become a person who doesn’t find fault in others, moving past personal obstacles with courage, hope, and faith to find peace. Be free of any influence of others that take that state of mind-peace away from you. In the imperfection of each life lies the way to understand perfection is in the being, not the doing.”

Sheryl goes on to say that there are no failures, only opportunities for experiences necessary to refine our soul energy and grow more aware of our true nature and capacity to love.

Judy tells us that several of her clients have said, “My family is cursed.” It seems an extreme declaration until we realize that research shows that patterns of thoughts, feelings, actions, and even events in areas like health, relationships, and leadership can be passed down through the generations. I see it play out in families who struggle with certain issues like lack of education, dysfunctional relationships, addiction, failure in careers, or an inability to create financial success. It is not a curse, it’s an inheritance. I call this inheritance your emotional DNA, and it is based on your interpretation of the events in the emotional blueprint of your family system. Your emotional DNA is expressed very strongly in your thoughts, words, tone, and meaning-making. The language that you speak creates your truth, direction, purpose, sense of self, and sense of others. It creates your future, whether successful, mediocre, or dismal. Your family system’s emotional DNA is also felt very strongly in your body, even when you’re not aware of it. The feelings that arise as part of a system give us a strong internal compass to steer by. We know we’re in alignment with our family or organizational systems because we can feel it. We know we’re in bad conscience with the system because we feel it. We know when we belong or when we’re being excluded because we feel it.

Judy tells us about Systemic Work and Constellations. Even if you feel like you’ve been hitting the same brick wall in the same way over and over again—making then losing money, walking away from relationships, helping others succeed at the cost of your own success or well-being, not feeling good enough to succeed all the way—I’m here to tell you anyone can use systemic work and constellations to change and grow into their potential and their dreams. I’ve seen people restore broken relationships, establish lasting ones, move past their limiting money thoughts and behaviors, lean into stability, and bring wealth to their family. I see people understand origins of chronic multigenerational conditions and release them in favor of a healthier body and mind. Transformation is not for a chosen few. It’s available to all of us. And when you suddenly see and understand patterns in your family system or other systems of influence, when you listen to your heart and the wisdom of your ancestors and climb out from beneath the tangled patterns that you and they have interwoven, you will be amazed and overjoyed to see the possibilities that are waiting for you.

We easily navigate complex systems every day, adapting to fit each one’s rules. If you are a child of divorced parents, you learn very quickly that there are different rules in Mom’s system than in Dad’s. You can watch TV for as long as you want at Dad’s house. In Mom’s house, everything is done by the book, and you cannot watch TV until you’ve done your homework. When you go to school, you don’t take the family dog. When you drive to work, you follow the rules of the road. You don’t go into a bar and pray, and you don’t go to a church and start cussing. It’s that simple. We are surrounded by systems.

We live in a planetary system situated in a relatively unpopulated area of our galaxy. On our planet we have created highway and telephone systems, computer systems, political systems, business systems, clubs, and social and economic systems like capitalism. Any collection of people coming together within a common framework that contains rules and regulations for its members to follow to ensure belonging and survival of the group is a system.

Our primary pattern maker is our family system consisting of our parents, siblings, and other relatives. It is our most influential system and the origin of much of our success and failure. A large part of systemic work centers around the patterns created in the family—their origins, content, and impact. Systems teach us how we can and cannot behave and how to succeed or fail within them, and they define our parameters for belonging with respect to relationships, money, emotions, leadership, spirituality, success, and purpose by impressing behavioral patterns upon us. For example, a family might have strict rules for children of dating age and follow certain rituals, such as always eating Sunday dinner together or not eating with cell phones at the table. Clubs have rules pertaining to membership, and corporations have rules bringing people together for a particular mission with shared work ethics, goals, inter-office rules, etc.

In organizations we call the system’s thoughts, feelings, and patterns its culture.

It was German psychotherapist Bert Hellinger, the “father” of systemic work and constellations, who recognized that every individual family is a system in its own right. At age twenty, Hellinger entered the religious order of the Jesuits. In the early 1950s, the order sent him to South Africa to bring Christianity and “civilized” thinking to the Zulu tribe. However, living within the tribe, he soon realized that it was the Zulus who were teaching him. As he learned their language and participated in their rituals and daily routines, he observed that individually and as a tribe, they didn’t have many neuroses, and he couldn’t understand why. Gradually he noticed that the strength of their connections to their ancestors, whom they frequently consulted to find out what might have happened in the past, was influencing what was going on in the present. He realized that their respect for the family system and their desire to understand what might be unresolved within prior generations had led them to a healthy approach for tackling issues within the family and the tribe as a whole. Essentially, they knew that an unresolved past was in the way of a dynamic future.

After living with the Zulus, he left the priesthood and South Africa, eventually becoming a certified psychoanalyst. Over the next few decades, he developed Family Constellations and Systemic Constellations. He explored all manner of systems, travelling, lecturing, and teaching all over the world. By the time he died, he’d founded the Hellinger School and written over ninety books explaining his insights, mostly into family systems and what was happening within them.

There are what Hellinger calls “orders” of the soul in systems. Orders are overarching, deep truths that are present in all systems. Hellinger names three.1 I have extrapolated and created a fourth order because I see it a lot in systemic work. First order: Everybody has a right to belong. Every single event, every member, every decision belongs because each one shapes the system that shapes you.

Judy goes on to tell us, “One of the basic tenets of all systemic work is that evolution lies in observation, acknowledgment, and giving each member in a system their place. There is no judgment of people or events. Whatever is there is there. Whatever happened, happened. It might not be pleasant or kind or healthy. It may well be horrific. But every event serves a purpose and gives information. It all belongs, and when we can acknowledge what has happened as it is without wishing for it to be different, then we can learn from it, choose something different, and evolve

We can identify inherited Relationship Patterns. We are deeply connected. From the time we’re conceived until long after we die, we’re part of a multigenerational family system that goes back to the dawn of humanity. We’re part of a social system thousands of years in the making. We can see this legacy in our own lives: most of us are raised in a religious system of some sort, and all of us are the product of widely differing cultures. All of these different systems—their unique traits, their defining decisions, and the language we have inherited from our family system (our parents, grandparents, and those who came before them; our siblings; and our children) and our organizational systems (the companies we work in, the careers we choose)—determine how we think, what we think about, what we feel, what we choose, and how we act and live. They determine the direction our lives take, often shaping our fate when we should be creating our destiny. These systems that influence us, commanding our unconscious loyalty from first breath to last, are largely invisible yet intensely powerful.”

The following examples show how within us is an ancestral connection to the tragedies and difficulties our ancestors faced. ”We haven’t got a clue that great-great-grandfather’s terrifying struggle with poverty after the Bolshevik Revolution destroyed the family fortune is what drives us to pinch every penny long after our bank balance has passed the million-dollar mark. We have no idea that the anxiety that overwhelms us every time we’re alone at night stems from a long-dead ancestor’s abandonment as a little child. We just pop a Xanax and soldier on. We don’t realize that our career ambitions started when we saw our parents struggle.

Or how about what happened to Lucia? She came to me puzzled and upset because yet another fast-growing, non-cancerous tumor had bloated her abdomen into a mock pregnancy. This was the seventh tumor she’d had in as many years, and her doctors had no idea why her body kept producing them. She’d had six surgically removed so far, and each time a tumor formed, her body would swell as if she were with child. During our work together, it came to light that her grandmother had had seven miscarriages. Her grandmother and the rest of the family had refused to speak about any of those lost babies because it was too painful. Through a systemic lens, we know that what or who we exclude from our own experience finds a way to reappear through someone else later in the system. Exclusion of a grandmother who is institutionalized can reappear as a child who feels trapped in some way or excluded from the family. When Lucia could acknowledge each one of those seven beings, giving all the missing ones their place in the family system, the seventh mass shrank within a month. No surgery was needed, and no more tumors occurred after that.

Once we identify those patterns, we can break free of them. When I work with people to explore their family system, we surface the hidden patterns and unconscious loyalties between and around family members going back several generations. We examine the language and actions the family uses. Clients learn to create a full-on 3D experience around their issues and aspirations . Together we explore their pain and fear, the insistence that they’re always second best, the belief that they’re always “the invisible one” or “the unloved one” or “the unworthy one.” They actually walk through the emotional pattern that’s stunted their growth and, in a short period of time, they “get” the pattern and rewire their brains, changing how they think and act for good. “Oh!” I hear people say. “I’m not this small incapable being I thought I was. I’m really bigger than that! I can really make a difference with my voice and my presence!” Or, “I never saw that before! No wonder I’ve been so ___________ (afraid, resentful, anxious, fill in the blank).

On Valentine’s Day many people are not feeling the love. Your ancestry could be messing up your love life Tell us something of this. Remember, if you are adopted, you have twice the field and energetic flow—once from your biological parents and the second time from the parents who chose you. You don’t have less, you have more. You know the gifts your adoptive parents gave you. What are the gifts your biological parents passed on? Did it take courage to have you and give you up? Selflessness? What other gifts did they pass on that you have not considered? Your strength? Your smile? Your humor? Your gift of music? Systemic patterns pass on to you whether you are conscious of them or not. You have only to watch shows like Long Lost Family to see how patterns repeat. Even when we don’t know our family of origin growing up, it’s surprising to find how much of their history we have repeated without even knowing them.

Burgeoning studies indicate that external factors such as diet and exercise, trauma, emotional stress, and other physical and psychological effects can result in epigenetic changes that can be passed down to subsequent generations. For example, rats exposed to prenatal stress, maternal separation, abusive caregiving, and adult social stress show epigenetic changes in their DNA. There is also evidence that abusive caregiving traits are passed down to both offspring and grand-offspring.

Judy shares with us that studies of children of Holocaust survivors have revealed that the trauma their ancestors experienced may have left a chemical mark on their genes that was passed down, resulting in higher anxiety levels, lower self-esteem, greater inhibition of aggression, and more relational difficulties than those found in control groups. Love then and the ability to give and receive love depend on physical elements and the conditioning of generations of our relatives who may have suffered and endured hardships that affected their soul spirit and physical DNA . Healing some of the issues of our families history can open our hearts to greater compassion and love for self and others.

A system to bring love into your life

    1. Set up a constellation of all the men in your life. Be sure to include a representative for yourself. Look for patterns and relationships.
    2. Set up a constellation with you, your family, and all the men in your life. Look at the relationships not only between men and women but also between women and women and men and men in the multigenerational pattern that has you stuck.
    3. If there’s enough information, set up a constellation of your mother and all the men in her life. Once you’ve set up the constellation, look for relationships. Who is close to whom, and who is further away? Just that initial picture in front of you begins to bring insight to what may be happening and illuminate your issue. Links, relationships, and patterns begin to emerge along with those pesky little jailers, our unconscious loyalties. I have women who tell me men don’t stick around in relationships only to find that a man in their family system left, or was lost. The original woman who was left may have said something like: “You can’t depend on a man, they all disappear.” Then generations of women are loyal to that saying and, in effect, to that first woman who lost her man. There seems to be an inner systemic sentence that goes something like this: “Dear Mom. If you couldn’t keep a man, I won’t either.” And now all the women unconsciously align with the governing sentence in the family system.
    4. You can change that system by letting go of that person’s ideas and not embracing them any longer. Change your own thoughts to a more positive way to relate to a loved one and change your reality and love will follow your new thoughts.

Judy might life readers to remember after reading your book? Decoding Your Emotional Blueprint that life is change and change is possible because the brain is always able to adapt. As American psychiatrist Dr. Milton Erickson once said, “If you want happiness, you have to work for it. ”And, he was right. Happiness in life isn’t automatic or guaranteed. But no matter what the past has brought us, the possibility for creating the world we want, including happiness, begins with us. Until recently, doctors and researchers believed that the human brain was “hard wired” by the time we were in our twenties—that our thoughts and beliefs were difficult, if not impossible, to change after that, and that we inevitably became more inflexible as we got older.

And yet, as far back as the early twentieth century, the “father of neuroscience,” Santiago Ramón y Cajal, described nonpathological changes in the neuronal structure of adult brains as “neuronal plasticity.” In 1949, the Canadian psychologist Donald Hebb studied how neurons in the brain adapt during learning. He talked about how new neuronal patterns in the brain are developed through association, famously saying, “Neurons wire together if they fire together.” By the time the 1960s came along, the term “neuroplasticity” had come into vogue, but the age-old belief that adult brains are unchanging prevailed in the mainstream until the end of the century. Fortunately, researchers like American psychiatrist Norman Doidge, MD, author of the book The Brain That Changes Itself: Stories of Personal Triumph from the Frontiers of Brain Science, have finally helped us change our minds. “The brain can change itself,” writes Doidge. “It is a plastic, living organ that can actually change its own structure and function, even into old age.” The vision of a living, changing brain that responds to new experiences throughout one’s lifespan is most certainly a vision of hope.

Studies now show that new neural pathways can be formed or reprogrammed over a period of about twenty-one days, with the new behavior becoming automatic within sixty-six days on average. And yet most people live on autopilot most of their lives, changing very little. This is, to a great extent, because our neural pathways operate under the law of least effort or the path of least resistance, allowing us to conserve mental energy and respond quickly to life experiences

We thank you Judy Wilkins Smith author of Decoding Your Emotional Blueprint for using your ability to understand critical dynamics in personal and organizational systems and the points at which they intersect, to create growth and success. Your passion about visionary leadership and positive global change is much needed during these critical changing times.

In summarizing today’s episode of Healing From Within we clearly have seen that everything in our development from the earliest days of this life to the imprints of ancestors and family dysfunction fear and limitations affect our decisions and choices and until we realize the patterns and make changes in our thoughts and actions we are being overly affected and restricted from living our most authentic and healthy life experience here and now.

Judy wrote, “Evolution is a step-by-step process. What worked for one generation likely won’t work for the next precisely because we are evolving. Unfortunately, we tend to demonize what came before us, judging our predecessors for their beliefs, lifestyles, and actions. Even as the survivors of World War II were sitting around watching John Wayne movies, reminiscing about the liberation of Europe and American soldiers’ heroism, their children were marching in the streets shouting anti-Vietnam War counterculture slogans like, “Make love, not war!” We also judge our successors. We look at the “youngsters” who come after us and call them reckless and irresponsible precisely because we are not seeing the world through their generational lens, facing their generational issues. We sneer at the future, unable to see beyond the limits of our old rules. Instead of celebrating the steps forward and the steps behind us, each generation excludes the other instead of learning from each other. We can sometimes fail to put into evolutionary context what looks to us now like errors and limitations. Those were the solutions the system came up with for its time and place. When we only negatively label our forefathers and mothers, we exclude their lived wisdom from the system and set the stage for old patterns to repeat. Growth comes with a commitment to look at and learn from past and future generations with appreciation and informed perspective, not with hate, blame, and judgment. Instead of labeling things as wrong, it is so much more helpful when we notice that life happens in steps—that we are all standing on “our step,” looking to take the next step up. When old and new systems collaborate, we benefit broadly. If we can garner wisdom from the past and be open to and curious about the future, we take our foot off the brake and grow and elevate.”

Judy and I would have you begin to appreciate yourself as you continue to grow and prosper through self-awareness self-love and self-acceptance of all that is and become an observer of your own reactions to others and to situations so you may remember many of your behaviors are based on past imprints from family and ancestors and you can change those that no longer bring you happiness. Create new thoughts and patterns that fit your perspectives in the moment.

    5. A Little Bit Of Dreams And Nightmares

Welcome to Healing From Within with your host Sheryl Glick RMT Reiki Master Energy Teacher medium and author of a trilogy A New Life Awaits Spirit Guided Insights to Support Global Awakening which shares stories and messages from Spirit that show us our challenges in the physical world is not economic political or societal but a deep disconnection from our true being or soul self. I am delighted to welcome Stase Michaels, author of A Little Bit of Dreams and Nightmares to help us explore the world of our subconscious mind or that which connects to the metaphysical realms of life beyond the physical.

As listeners of “Healing From Within” are well aware Sheryl and her intuitive and insightful guests share intimate and thoughtful awarenesses of man nature and spirit that help us know who we are, where we come from and what happens after a physical death. We don’t just have a soul, we are soul beings, having a physical life in order to refine our energy thoughts actions and reactions resolve karma and make more loving and compassionate decisions, as we have a host of experiences learning not to judge anything as good or bad, just experience for further personal and collective growth.

In today’s episode of “Healing From Within” Stase Michaels who has three degrees in psychology and has written eight dream books offers a new potential in problem solving and suggests medical researchers’, scientists, and inventors can harness the power of dream as a source of practical insights for sought after breakthroughs. Dreams, like everyday events, can teach us more about how to love, learn and seek answers to age old questions. Today Stase shares how dreams and yes, nightmares, offer us a way to learn more about ourselves and our relationships and lead to healing many fears and past traumas.

Stase shares with us how she got interested in dreams and describes what dreams are. Stase Michaels arrived at her definition of a dream. When you have a dream, your first inclination is to wonder what it means. Few ask, “What is a dream?” and even as a dream expert, Stase did the same. For years, she focused on what the dream meant and never questioned what it was. From sleep lab studies, we know about Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep, brain wave activity during sleep, and sleep stages. However, such facts do not explain the origins or the function of a dream. Mystics, on the other hand, spoke of dreams as a message from the soul, or other souls in spirit. That may be true, but again, does not define the mechanics of how a dream comes about. It finally dawned on Stase that she had no clear conception of what a dream really “is.” Her curiosity led her on a ten- year trek to find the answer. She read books and explored scientific journals. These helped her see what a dream does, but not what it is. The closest link to an answer emerged from Freud’s idea which looks at dreams as leftovers about daily concerns, a concept later expanded by Montague Ullman. Dreams as day residue became the seed thought that led to a true definition. Mobilizing a lifetime of observations about dreams, a picture slowly unfolded about the mechanics of how a dream comes to be and what it is.

As the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, here is the ultimate definition of a dream, the one that is satisfied. “You Juggle Two Lives. You live two lives: an outer life of actions and an inner, hidden life of emotions and thoughts. These inner and outer parts of you are mediated by “the psyche, which, in the context of dreams, is defined here as your total interactions between your mind, your body, and for believers, your soul.”

Your Outer Life. As you go about your day, you carry out your roles as a parent, sibling, friend, student, doctor, bus driver, teacher, social worker, etc. Each role defines what you do, but does not define who or what you are.

Your Inner Life. While engulfed in daily routines, your mind conducts a silent, on-going and internal dialogue as it matches up your immediate experience with what you think and feel. These inner-to-outer “matchups” may leave you feeling conflicted or feeling at peace. So many matchups get tacked onto your silent background bulletin board, that these memories of your daily experience pile up, and, like a stack of papers, they will eventually need to be sorted and filed.

The Psyche as a Silent Partner. So much of your experience takes place during this silent, inner dialogue. Because this inner dialogue is a private conversation with yourself, ninety percent of what you think and feel remains unshared, even with your best friend or spouse. The Psyche Knows All, Connects All. The part of you that does fully share in your inner conversation is the psyche. A little -known fact is that when you dream, the large body muscles, like in your arms and legs, become immobile, as a temporary state of paralysis. The Dreaming and Waking States Can Overlap. Though waking and dreaming are separate states of awareness, their boundaries are not always distinct and there can be a few rare moments of brief overlap. If you accidentally wake up at the end of a dream but are not yet quite awake- which can happen during an intense or scary dream -the effect can be startling. Your mind may still be partly lodged in the dream and yet partially awake. You may notice that you can’t move, an experience people often cite with trepidation. Not being able to move during a dream is normal.

And Sheryl validates this experience that can happen “After foot surgery, she was given a painkiller which contained Codeine and upon waking, had exactly the reaction that Stase described. She was unable to move, she felt there were people around her, not physically but in spirit, and she was terrified. Sheryl assumed it was the medicine and never again took any painkillers with Codeine in them.”

Stase describes why we get nightmares. Before we try to learn about nightmares it is important to consider how dreams work with etheric or soul energy. Fate and the Divine Hand can be considered. A less common type of ESP dream emerges from the soul or from the divine hand. This form of ESP dream sends shivers up your spine because it defies logic as it predicts what is beyond. J. B. Rhine, a modern researcher of paranormal phenomena, recorded a famous example. He described how, years ago, a handful of children in a Welsh mining village pre dreamed that their school would collapse under an avalanche. Several days later, the event happened. You may pre-dream something that is important. Intuition, also an aspect of soul wisdom, gives many people advanced notice to events.

Sheryl says her daughter Stacey was 15 years old and told her she wanted to go to a U2 concert at the Coliseum, and Sheryl got a vision of her daughter running and being trampled by other running teenagers. So, she didn’t want her daughter to go, but her daughter cajoled her and said she was going with her two very tall friends who would protect her, so Sheryl gave in and let her go. Later that night when Stacey returned, Sheryl looked out the window and saw her hobbling up to the doorway. Indeed, she had been running and was pushed and fell on a pole coming out of the cement and had a hole in her leg. Sheryl’s waking dream or vision was correct and had we listened, and had Stacey not gone, this would’ve been prevented.

In the same vein, Virginia Beach’s famed mystic, Edgar Cayce, suggested that you pre-dream everything of importance that happens to you. Such dreams about the future that your soul portrays, may best be explained by what Shakespeare’s Hamlet said to Horatio: “There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” Some things are yet beyond our ken.

Stase described the different types of nightmares:

NIGHTMARES: THREE TYPES Like other dreams, nightmares can be distinguished by their origin and purpose. The most common nightmares engage your struggle to grow in character and personality. A few bad dreams deal with specific life fears, and fewer still predict actual tragic events.

Nightmares That Unveil a Negative Character Trait Facing an unpleasant truth about yourself is never easy. Everyone glosses over shortcomings like anger, acting stupid, or failing at something, and no one wants to face a weakness. As a result, when a dream holds up a mirror about a trait that does not jive with your “I am great” image, your normal reaction is to say, “That can’t be me.” In colloquial terms, such nightmares expose your blind spots, which is an unpleasant experience for everyone.

For example, a man had a nightmare about a raging bull charging through his grocery store and wondered if the dream was a warning that vandals would soon raid his premises. Since most dreams are about you- the dreamer, he came to see that the bull was a metaphor of his short temper when dealing with employees. Seeing himself as an out-of-control bull was not easy, but the image produced the desired effect. The man softened his attitude and as a result, the atmosphere at the grocery store became more relaxed and as a bonus, his sales improved. When a nightmare acts as a mirror of a not-so great trait, it invites you to grow into a better version of yourself. After an initial “ouch,” you realize that the dream is an ally, helping you correct what could cause problems down the road.

Some may think seeing a ghost or a departed loved one might be strange or even a nightmare especially if they don’t believe in life after death. Most dreams are communications from your psyche, the inner part of you that is aware of all your experiences, goals, and memories. Like a best friend, the psyche (your inner self) acts like a bridge between your waking and sleeping self and uses dreams to guide you to be the best you can be.

The Soul and Beyond. Some dream insights come from the soul. You may be the captain of your ship but the soul is the ship’s owner, and on occasion, the soul has something to say about your path in life. Speaking of the great beyond, many believe that guardian angels can whisper in your ear through a dream, and that, on occasion, the divine itself bestows experiences of amazing grace, healing, or inspiration in dreams. Many dreamers have confirmed such extraordinary dream events.

Some individuals believe that life continues after death and that dreams reconnect you with a loved one who has passed on. Anecdotal dream experiences suggest that the dearly departed visit on occasion to let you know they still love you . Sheryl says if it wasn’t for a dream she had 29 years ago, she would not be performing her duties as a Reiki Master Teacher, healer, medium and host of “Healing From Within.” 29 years ago,

Stase tells us of tricks to understand what a nightmare means, and writes “Astral Travel during Dreaming might help understand what the dream is all about. Mystics claim that the soul can leave the body at night, during sleep, to take short jaunts. The experience is called “astral travel, “also known as astral projection or an “out-of-body” experience. During astral travel, the sleeping body stays put while the soul soars out into the world and beyond, remaining connected to the body via a mystical thin, silver cord. The silver cord allows the soul to find its way back to its sleeping body. Types of Astral Travel.

Anecdotal accounts report astral treks that give glimpses of other heavenly realms. Or, they can be journeys related to near-death experiences whereby a person dies or comes close to dying, visits the afterlife, but revives and lives to relate their experience. Astral travel can also happen during sleep -as a dream that is a mystic experience -remembered as a dream. Astral Travel Dreams. Some dreams of soaring down familiar streets at night, high above trees or buildings, may be experiences of astral travel. Ditto for dream scenes of enthusiastic chats with friends or associates that continue conversations that may have begun earlier in the day or renew a friendship, as a chat between friends. Astral travel dreams often depict real streets, people, and places that you recognize, and when you return from such night travels, the body may feel a jolt as it land.

Nightmares and dreams can be an actual warning to help you deal with an upcoming situation or to help your soul remember your life destiny and put you on the right path, so they can be purposeful or preventative.

Sheryl says “Yes dreams can help you deal with an upcoming situation. in her newest book A New Life Awaits writes of what she thought was a dream that turned out to be something different.” Sheryl writes, “The night before my father died, I was lying in bed sick with the flu when quite suddenly, I felt a shadow or presence at my right side and knew it was my grandfather William. He projected a thought in my mind… “You have to write something for your father.” I woke up very confused. The next day, still sick in bed, I received a phone call from my mom telling me my dad had died. He had been frail for years, but still, hearing he had passed was a shock. Sheryl wrote her father’s eulogy without putting together that she was putting together Spirit’s message, and that spiritual visitation, not a dream, was the impetus that set Sheryl’s true path in life to use her healing abilities to help others discover who they were and create lives they were born to live. This event would not be understood until years later when I would discover the truth of who I am…who we all are. We are all beings of divine energy and physical possibilities and at the same time, Becoming Conscientious Citizens. Ultimately, this discovery has helped me to accept the loss of my father and other loved ones, as I know we will all be reunited beyond life on earth. People involved in the study of metaphysics, psychology, quantum physics, and energy healing help others discover the truth about their soul longevity, allowing them to remember the eternal unbroken chain of life here and in Spirit. We do not have to wait to be beyond our physical life to realize the enormity of our soul’s ability to bridge the gap between the two worlds of finite and infinite being. We are part of the endless circle of life.

It is possible for a character in a dream to give directions and clear guidance. A man or woman in a dream may at times directly present the information that you need, such as a family member pointing out where you misplaced a lost object or a mechanic working on a car part that needs to be replaced in your car. When that happens, no interpretation is necessary. Sometimes only the thought is implied, yet even if no words are spoken, the dreamer knows the intent. Whether words are spoken, thoughts implied, or a dream character demonstrates the information visually, the guidance can be direct and clear.

People in dreams like various dance partners, dance to different tunes and drum up a variety of messages. Whether the person portrayed is a family member, friend, stranger, or someone rich and famous, each carries a unique message. Finding the meaning of a dream person can be like engaging in a dance where the partners change, a couple of times.

While a true warning nightmare about a potential tragedy is extremely rare, a nightmare can be a warning about an actual tragedy that spirit protects you from, and it comes in the form of ESP dream, as in the following example:

A mother had several dreams that showed her only teenage daughter getting into a car with friends, then seeing the car in a deadly crash. Each time she had the dream, she debated whether to talk to her daughter about safe driving with her teenage friends, but decided against it. Sadly, the repetitive dreams turned out to be an actual warning and she lost her only daughter. Meeting this woman at a seminar, Michaels marveled at the grace with which the mother had resolved to learn about dreams, and to use future warnings for herself and loved ones. That took great courage. Only the Divine Hand can know whether a tragedy foreshadowed in a dream can be averted. However, no matter how a predicted event turns out, such actual warning nightmares serve a constructive purpose. On the one hand, they give a dreamer time to build up their strength and cushion the shock of the actual event, if it comes about. On the other hand, according to stories exchanged in dream circles, such warning dreams can, at times, avert the real danger. True dream warnings about dire events are extremely rare. They have noticeable features like repetition, intense emotions and literal details. whether the person relates to your past or present, note if and how they relate to your inner self, and sift the word play and metaphors about the person. There is also an emotional rhythm surrounding a dream character, that has to be honored. A dream person may lead you on a quick whirl or engage you in a long dance; either way, finding the meaning can be a kick!

Stase tells us when a character is a mirror of yourself, it can helpful for the most common purpose of this dream person, is to mirror your own behavior and traits for self-improvement. A woman dreamed of her sister having a temper tantrum. In real life, her sister was capable of a grand explosion or two. The dreamer noted how insensitive her sister appeared in the dream as she spewed venomous words, and she suddenly remembered the verbal mudslinging that she, herself, had engaged in with a co-worker, the previous day. She realized that the dream scene described her, not her sister. Though normally professional and constructive, the previous day she lost her cool and her dream mirrored how she had appeared to coworkers. The dream made her realize that a kind word would have gone much further to resolve the situation than anger. When you see someone behaving badly in a dream, take a breath and fess up. In the end, most of the people that you dream about, signify parts of yourself.

Stase tells us of a specific nightmare either you or a client had and explain it’s meaning to us?

Here are a few examples of actual dreams and their practical messages, obtained using the Five Step Dream Technique. Dreamers from around the globe e-mailed dreams to the author at InterpretADream.com, requesting a free sample that is offered on the site. The dreams represent a cross-section of content and issues. Notice that the story line is what guides and prompts the direction of the message.

EXAMPLE 1: Lion Attacks Spouse. This dream shows strong emotional content. Notice how the ending is a hint about how things turn out. THE DREAM

ER: A woman in an African country, age 32. THE DREAM: We are sitting outside on chairs. My husband’s chair is facing me and he is sitting next to my uncle. I see a lion approach and tell my uncle and husband to move, but they ignore me. The lion spares my uncle but lunges at my husband and attacks his head. My uncle tries to help, but he cannot. I scream and find a stick to hit the lion on the head and make it leave. My husband is unconscious, but he survives. I see other lions that are not harming us, but I’m still afraid.

Main Life Issues: Husband is sick and there are fears for his business and health.

      How I Felt: Scared.

The Story Line: Though intensely threatened, someone manages to save the day.

Main Symbols: Lion: Danger; that which frightens. Stick: A weapon; what saves the day.

The Message: Seeing lions in the distance mirrors your fears about your husband’s health and earnings. Because the lions in the distance do not hurt you, his business and income will be fine. The direct attack by a lion on your husband relates to your anxiety about his illness. However, in the dream, you rescue your husband and the lion leaves. This tells you he will recover.

Bottom Line: The end of a dream often shows how things turn out. In your dream, your husband survives because you came to his aid. Do all you can and he will be fine.

Stase tells us some preconceptions that people have about dreams that might not be relevant. What a dream actually communicates: A dream memo from the psyche can include one or more of the following:

      • An overview of unresolved feelings or issues.
      • Past influences or reactions that are relevant to a current issue.
      • Current unnoticed factors that affect a topic.
      • Feelings with which you may not be in touch.
      • An invitation to change a perspective or a goal.
      • Advice on how to deal with an issue.
      • General or specific insights into a problem or concern
      • Some advanced thoughts on dreams in relation to the soul are: Dreams like the soul enable us to know our emotions and proceed to make changes in life that align to our life plan or destiny. Stase writes Colors Can Have Meaning. Does color matter in a dream? “People wonder why some folks dream in black and white and others dream in color. Because more women than men dream in color, dream researchers suggest that dreaming in color may be related to the ability to express emotion. The theory makes sense, considering that women tend to express their feelings better than men. If you normally dream in black and white and then have a dream in bright color, the change to color can be a red flag about an urgent message. Or if you normally dream in color, look for unusual or intense colors, or a change to black and white. As a general guide, the more intense the colors in your dreams, the more intense the emotions. Seeing strong colors should make you curious about what is evoking strong feelings. Pay attention to features like colors that begin to change. Marked shifts can be road signs to look for a special message.

Stase might like readers of A Little Bit of Dreams and Nightmares to take away with them after reading this book that “some dreams need no explanation. The message behind some dreams is self-evident. A woman who went to sleep depressed about a recent divorce had a dream that she found a new love, and she woke up elated. Whether the dream was a prediction of finding true love or a mental pick me-up sent by her psyche does not matter. The fact that she woke up feeling happy says it all.”

Sheryl would like to thank Stase Michaels author of A Little Bit of Dreams and Nightmare for sharing important data and examples of dreams that fascinate, frighten, or inform us of much that can help us to live our most productive and fruitful lives free of misbelief and able to understand ourselves and those around us in a clearer more useful way.

In summarizing today’s episode of “Healing From Within” we have explored a greater view of dreams and the role they play in informing our waking hours with greater awareness of how to live our best lives improving our work, play and all relationships, as we learn more about ourselves, our world, nature, universe and the Divine.

Stase writes, “ALL DREAMS ARE MEANINGFUL. All dreams carry a message, and even a single dream image has meaning. Some dream messages are about your emotions while others relate more to your thoughts, attitudes, or actions. For example, in one such single-image dream, a man saw a large wooden wheel. At first, the image seemed meaningless, but later he remembered that when he was growing up, there had been a wagon wheel on his family’s farm. After his mother died, he often sat beside that wagon wheel as he mourned. The dream image of the wheel made him realize that he still felt bad about the recent loss of a good friend. The dream suggested he needed to take the time to grieve for his friend, just as he had grieved by the wheel, for his mother.”

EVERYONE DOES DREAM. Those who say they do not remember any dreams often wonder if they dream, at all. Research confirms that everyone experiences dreams. In fact, you dream about four to six times a night, whether or not you remember any of your dreams. Dreaming and recalling your dreams are two separate issues.

Stase and Sheryl would have you remember to ask for a meaningful dream on nights when you have a question. a worry, or need an answer, for healing or solving a problem. For by asking, you set up the potential for receiving that data which is necessary for you to do the best you can with knowledge received from spirit in a dream, that can advise, portray, confirm that which will enhance your ability to make good choices.

We thank John for joining us on Healing From Within to share his own view of the signposts as well as the obstacles that may be encountered on perhaps the greatest journey of all that of going within and knowing the energy of eternal oneness and life in many dimensions.

As listeners of Healing From Within are well aware Sheryl and her guests share intimate insightful stories that show us how the duality of life actually is necessary to remember we are souls having a physical life so we may refine our thoughts and actions and grow to higher levels of awareness and consciousness as we learn that life is not random We are not alone and all experiences are just right neither good nor bad but necessary to raise our vibration to higher planes of existence and personal growth.

In today’s episode of Healing From Within John Siddique one of the most popular teachers on the meditation app Insight Timer who has been featured in Time Magazine The Guardian and CNN and the BBC. As well as having a Talk and Workshop for the Theosophical Society of America. He will discuss the five tools and 3 practices to cut through the noise and find a connection in meditation to higher source.

When John is asked about his childhood days and to remember a person, place, or event that might have signaled to him about the lifestyle he might embark on as an adult, he immediately remembers when he was 6 years old, and swimming under the water, free from his familial impressions and knowing the light within him or his soul was going to be the force that created the best life for him. In time, he came to accept that beyond beliefs there is a sense of knowing the universal source, creation, and the beauty of interconnectedness of life. And in his book, Signposts of the Spiritual Journey, he shares ways that meditation and other tools for knowing oneself lead to an awakening that is endless, boundless, soulful, as well as joyful.

John tells us about the arising of questions and the urge to honestly meet yourself as he decided it was the only way to begin an inner decision to move forward.

At this point, you might find yourself questioning what is going on in the world around you, or you may be questioning the purpose of your own life. Anyone who dares to reflect on life and its meaning, finds that things tend to boil down to three primary questions. I’ll just place the three questions here without commentary because you know them already, and in essence, they are why you are here. You have always known these questions.

        • Who am I?
        • What am I here for?
        • Is there a way to end suffering?
        • Seven other secondary questions feature prominently throughout the journey, which you will similarly find you already know: Who? What? Why, Where? When? What if? How?

Learning to turn toward awareness You can notice, or even encourage a shift within yourself toward awareness by the way you frame your questions as you meet daily life situations. For example, if we allow a movement from asking questions such as “Why is this person doing this to me?” or “Why is (insert personal difficult situation) always happening to me?” and instead try to drop taking the situation personally, and allow appreciation of any other person involved, then we’re not coming from the place of it being a problem.

Then we can ask things such as:

          • How can I bring awareness to what is going on?
          • What if I choose to respond rather than react?
          • What really would improve the world?
          • How do I step out of my way to transcend this situation?
          • All of our ten initial questions, if asked with this openness, will take you toward a better way of meeting and experiencing your own life, and other people. We restore our humanity instantly and easily with a simple shift

John wrote “Somehow, by grace – and it is always by grace – we feel a sense that our lives are something more than what we have been told and conditioned into by the world. Something perhaps unnameable in you seems to be calling you on. Perhaps there has been something happening in your life that has brought the way things are into question. Maybe you have read a book or heard something within your religion that has penetrated somewhere deep inside you. You might have experienced a profound love or a meeting or an occurrence in nature or art. Whichever way it comes, something makes a hole in the concepts and thoughts of who we think we are.

Very often, it is suffering that punches a hole through the veil: a death, a loss, an illness, or a meeting with one’s own mortality, or maybe we just wake up one day and know that what the world offers through its appearances and our acquisitions is not enough for us. We need something real to live by, though we may not know how to do anything about these feelings.”

John tells us “Or you might be one of those people who are born with a sense of their own soul that never leaves them. Usually, people like this just don’t fit in that well with society, or they always seem to have the questions we’ve been discussing on their lips or in their bearing. If you are this type of person, you may have found your way, or you might still be seeking and reaching for a place to rest your heart. I’d say that every child feels this calling naturally, but it is more often than not quickly covered over by societal and generational conditioning as the established mechanisms of our societies work to turn us into a “someone”. We are shaped to operate as a function of the society, rather than a human being moving through life fulfilling the fundamental goal of humanity and existence. Whichever way it is for you, somewhere there is this urge. It will show itself in the drive to feel like you need to complete yourself somehow.

Sheryl says That as a sensitive child feeling great joy or sadness of those around her and not knowing at that time she was an empath and intuitive who could pick up information in so many ways She knew we were more than our physical body but did not yet believe in an afterlife as her family was a very practical methodical group of individuals. At about the age of 42 she started to question why there was something missing in her life and a pain in her heart. May mystical events started to happen and she was guided by spirit to open up her heart and mind to the real purpose of her soul life and many questions were answered and beliefs fell away and a greater sense of knowing took its place.

In her book A New Life Awaits, Sheryl writes, “In reading A New Life Awaits, I know you will discover much synchronicity with your own daily observations and find comfort in validating many of your dearest wishes to live life in an expansive and bolder approach, creating new perspectives, new thoughts, taking you in the direction that your soul and heart were born to experience. Unencumbered by the rules and limitations of societal or family systems that may have temporarily made you forget the amazing, loving, magnificent entity that you are that was born to walk in delight on our beautiful earth landscape and in spiritual light, you will find that a new life awaits you, and know you do not walk alone. As spiritual beings having a human life experience, readers will also take away with them a greater awareness of human life in these tumultuous, changing modern times as we are encouraged to develop a more heightened and astute social consciousness in order to bring about worldwide cooperation when dealing with health, educational, medical, and political concerns affecting all of life: evolution in all our communities, spiritually and physically offering much needed new ways to go about eliminating injustice, the proliferation of crime, conquering disease, reinventing social graces and finding ways to integrate higher Universal Laws for wellbeing and success into our human daily lives. If we are being watched from above by those who live in gentler conditions than here on Earth and who, with love and hope for our advancement as a human species, expect us to expand and create more loving interactions and conquer warring impulses, the choice to do this is non-negotiable.”

John shares with us that it is important to develop a clearer sense of choice in order to move from fear to love. He tells us how one begins to do that.

“Over the decades of my own practice, I have realized that there are four dimensions to our awareness that act as the truest gauge of our progress on the path.

To paraphrase them quickly they are:

            1. Noticing delayed awareness.
            2. Greater awareness of inner life, less interest in stories and drama.
            3. Presence-based awareness.
            4. Spontaneous awareness that is informed by genuine insight. Don’t worry, we’ll be exploring these in depth as we go on.
            5. Once you are aware of these dimensions, you will find yourself more able to learn and realize things yourself. Awareness will allow you to meet your own life with increasing love, honesty, and forgiveness regarding your questions. These four aspects of awareness are the most reliable compass I have found, and with my hand on my heart, I want to tell you that I would not have survived without them, nor would I be speaking to you now through these pages had I not encountered these truths.

As you work with them, they will guide you to become more congruent with your own core of being. This process is the absolute foundation of the journey. Awareness is the very basis of who we are. Making a conscious choice about meeting your path as sincerely and as honestly as you can is essential at each stage because if we don’t, things will just rise up anyway.

Our shift to vulnerability is what brings us into awareness, and hence the opportunity to live our human situations with wisdom. We also get to access real love, presence, humor and freedom. The increase of these qualities is a very reliable gauge as we make our way.

As Carl Jung said: “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.” The process we are speaking of always comes down to being more of an allowing than a making. Sheryl says that it is allowing, accepting, and surrendering to what is that one is able to truly LET GO of the reality of a three dimensional world and “be at one with their own soul energy,” which is a composite of all knowledge throughout the universe.” Awareness has to be met with an attitude of allowing because it is already who we are.” Sheryl who has always been delighted discuss anything about Carl Jung, because he was a spiritual psychologist who understood that the soul and our thoughts can create and manifest our reality and not waste too much time mulling over the mistakes, pain, and failures of our past. Those emotions are but memories, floating on the wind and have no substance in creating our moment to moment life.

John tells us about the five tools to help you in the here and now and three practices to cut through the stories of the mind and repetitive noise of life.

This is my hope for this book too. That it should meet you in this way and that you step into your journey with a taste of the sacredness within you. Then we might also have a bit of honest fun with things along the way, which is a much better way to walk together. This work is too serious to take too seriously. A lot of humor, forgiveness, and love is required. This is, perhaps, the second most important rule of the path, the first of course being: “Don’t be an asshole.”

FIVE RULES OF THE SPIRITUAL PATH (JUST FOR FUN)

              1. Don’t be an asshole.
              2. Love and forgive ad infinitum (including yourself).
              3. Authenticity and vulnerability are your real strengths.
              4. The path requires tea and biscuits and often chocolate.
              5. If anyone sighs, says they love you, and comes in for a four minute hug – RUN. Only kidding, but not really
              6. Our minds are beautiful tools to have, but they only become genuinely beneficial when met with awareness. Please understand that they are not to be silenced or got rid of. That is a huge misunderstanding that has crept into spiritual teaching over the years. Thoughts are not our enemies, but they are not awareness, and the mind is not an end in itself. More often than not, mind is a product of condition

John tells us about the Four Dimensions of Awareness. “The four dimensions of awareness are the key to the whole journey is awareness. Rather than being a process of learning something as information that we can hold onto, it is imperative to understand that we are not making an externalized attempt at trying to embody something in an accumulating or “fake it till you make it” kind of way. So many commandment-based or precept-based practices are sadly taken with the attitude of wearing their guidance as rules or laws. Naturally, we strive to be good within the rules of our religions and so on, but we will often feel that we fall short. We can quite easily end up living out an egoic and controlled/controlling version of someone who follows the rules. Yet our intuitive sense of life can get so buried that we utterly believe this striving self is who we are. This is the situation for most of us in the world today, including many people who consider themselves to be on the path. It’s not that the precepts and commandments are not trustworthy, but we have learned to wear them as masks rather than realizing and expressing their truth. Your innate human qualities, such as compassion, presence, empathy, not killing, and authenticity, are all expressions of your soul. They are not concepts or constraints. Thankfully life keeps on turning up, trying to show us the bigger picture. Over the decades of my own practice, I have realized that there are four dimensions to our awareness that act as the truest gauge of our progress on the path.”

To paraphrase them quickly they are:

                1. Noticing delayed awareness.
                2. Greater awareness of inner life, less interest in stories and drama.
                3. Presence-based awareness.
                4. Spontaneous awareness that is informed by genuine insight.
                5. Once you are aware of these dimensions, you will find yourself more able to learn and realize things yourself. Awareness will allow you to meet your own life with increasing love, honesty, and forgiveness regarding your questions.

Your innate human qualities, such as compassion, presence, empathy, not killing, and authenticity, are all expressions of your soul and your awareness. Awareness is the very basis of who we are. Making a conscious choice about meeting your path as sincerely and as honestly as you can is essential at each stage because if we don’t, things will just rise up anyway. If we refuse to see what arises, situations tend to end up looking like they are happening by chance and will usually create suffering. If we are not open to awareness, we will often find that the learnings and strategies we hold dearly will only work so far.

The Five Tools that John describes help you here and now. We need a few good reliable tools on our journey, so John likes to offer you a range of things that may be of service to you whether you are just starting out or a long-term practitioner. The right tool for the right job is always the best way to get things done. Many of us only had a hammer that was handed down to us while growing up, and while a hammer has its uses, it’s probably not that helpful for when we are performing heart surgery, which in many ways we are. The heart is where our soul learns greater love and compassion, and is delicate and needs constant refining of energies to improve the quality of life.

                  Here are the Five Tools:

                  1. Knowing your life is fully your life Perhaps the number one thing that will serve you best on your whole journey is to realize that your life is your life. This realization allows us to start to take 100 percent responsibility for every area of our lives: our health, relationships, work, balance, finances, self-determination, family, and so on. Every moment of your life is your life. Yet so many people think their life is somewhere else or will be some time later. “When I have twelve million dollars”, “When I get home from work”, “When I’m in the right relationship”. As you can see, all of these stem from the internalization of particular training and beliefs that we have been conditioned with. Hearing that “every moment of your life is your life” will cause some people great weariness, a feeling of “I just can’t do any more… I’m already doing so much to keep myself together”It is often less effort required around those beliefs and more space to hear your inner voice. We really can’t do more adding to ourselves, so we need to learn the difference between “doing” responsibility and “being” responsible for our lives.
                  2. Admitting you have a problem and that you don’t know how to work with it. The second tool is about having the guts to admit to ourselves that we have a problem. We may not know what love really is. We may be trapped in addictive or codependent relationships at home, at work, politically, in our religions and so on. We may be ignorant of what our life is for, or be feeling helpless around an addiction. We could make an endless list, but the goal here is not to point and blame but to acknowledge things so that we can heal and grow. Admittance of a problem is not a step down or a humiliation unless we’re meeting this from an egoic perspective. Much of the world is built on pretending that we don’t have problems or pasts, so nothing much ever changes. Once we honestly admit that there is a problem that we’ve been living through, the space for awareness opens a little within ourselves. When we admit we have a problem and don’t know what to do, it releases us from feeling so trapped and lost, and this creates space for us to explore the possibilities of learning, seeking and even receiving help. Admission is the beginning of becoming genuinely responsible and authentic in our lives.
                  3. Actively enjoying your neuroplasticity On the physical level of the body, introducing new and novel experiences can help us quickly build new pathways in the brain. Even just four days of doing things even slightly differently can encourage new neural pathways to start forming. Establishing healthy habits for yourself is rooted in working with your neuroplasticity. Things like changing up your route to work, exercise routine, walking and being in nature, yoga, meditation, running, baking. All of these, when used with awareness, can help create space for healing and newness. Your journey is not just a physical and chemical one, it is the journey of your soul, yet our bodies and brains are firmly part of the equation. I advise my students to bring physicality and fun into things and try to see their journey with a sense of adventure and curiosity. The kindness of being able to laugh at yourself is paramount. I’m particularly fond of dancing as a way to begin freeing us up.. However you choose to work with your neural pathways, getting your wiring to connect in fresh and helpful ways is deeply effective. Throughout your journey, I hope you can see that there is one underlying word that helps with everything, and that word is, of course, love. We need to allow love into our life, into our adventure in soul and awareness. The difference between, say, putting your clothes and shoes on with a bit of love and presence in the morning, or just throwing them on with your head already in the car and driving down the street before you go to work is the difference between life and death.
                  4. Realizing there are no magic bullets In over four decades of practice and three decades of teaching, I’ve seen too many people indulge the belief that they can beat the odds and some kind of magic will take place so that they can keep all their stuff and not really change too much while making their spiritual journey. As part of our becoming responsible for ourselves, we have to actively let go of the magic bullets idea or the wish that someone else can do things for us.
                  5. Allowing meditation into your life Meditation is a beautiful, natural vehicle that we can rely on for this journey. Beginning and staying true with a meditation practice that suits you and which changes as you grow is something that is available to every person. Meditation is not an add-on to our lives, it is a natural human function. It is utterly vital to understand that meditation is so valuable, it is not an end in itself. You do not meditate to become a good mediator; you meditate to become free from conditioning and falseness. Meditation opens us to the wisdom and awareness that is within ourselves and around us. Allowing meditation into your lives leads us to the place in ourselves that is the home we’ve always wanted
                  6. John tells us of the three practices he recommends.

But if this journey is real, you will likely be drawn to meet these practices in some form when ready.

                    1. Arya mouna – noble silence. One of the best ways to allow ourselves to be in our true awareness and inspired by our intuition is to include some periods of silence in our days and commit to this as a daily practice. I’m sure you will be aware of the practice of silence within many religions, and you probably will have also seen it used as a kind of trope where we imagine a person adopting silence to cut off from life or to hide from the world. In ancient yoga, there is a beautiful practice called arya mouna, or “keeping noble silence”. It is generally one of the first practices adopted by anyone who sincerely wants to find their way into union with their soul. You begin by allowing yourself to silence first thing in the morning for 30 minutes or so, which also means not looking at the news, phone, or putting the radio on. It doesn’t mean “sushing” everyone in your household and demanding their silence, but rather we just allow for space and quiet. The reason for this is simple, very often we just jump into talk and ideas as soon as we wake. We grab onto things like social media, emails and the news and are lost in them straight away. We give them our energy and are pulled reactively by their triggers and demands.

With arya mouna, we can instead allow ourselves the space to meditate, do our ablutions and so on. For a short time, we just don’t add anything extra. This type of silence will teach us everything about ourselves. It opens up love. It will show us our fears, allow us to access deeper wisdom, and give our intuition and creativity space. It will show us where we hide, how our minds and emotions work. It also reveals the things and ideas that we cling to too tightly and so much more. As we deepen into it, it will also show us within a very short time the well of nourishment within our own being, revealing our compassion and help us better witness the wholeness of life.
                    2. Hand on the heart. This beautiful practice can be used everywhere and at any time, especially when you need a better sense of connection with yourself. The practice is to simply put one hand on your heart and to allow kind physical contact with yourself. It can be helpful when you are with people or in situations that tend to draw you away from your sense of being or when you are dealing with difficult things. Use it at any moment where you realize that you have to hold the line, or when you are out of sorts and need to come back to a better sense of yourself. It is a beautiful thing to use when you feel like you need some self-soothing. Try it next time you catch yourself entering into a situation that is argumentative or that has the egoic need to be righteous in it. You can use this technique as an aid within your meditation or prayer practice as a way to be grounded in the here and now a bit more when you need it. Perhaps when emotions are shifting, or when you are feeling stuck or needing to tend to yourself with kindness and compassion.
                    3. Contemplation of your death I wasn’t sure when to drop this one on you, as it can look terrifying, and it’s far too easy to think of this as being morbid or morose or that this is to lead you into a place of nihilism. Rather than trying to scare you, this is surprisingly one of the greatest heart-opening and restoring practices there is. We can think of it as being like a shot of double espresso to wake us up. This ancient and classic practice is not about walking around, talking about everything dying all the time and losing hope. As usual, a sense of humour is vital with ourselves here. This contemplation on our physical mortality helps you to cut to the chase. Who are you? What are you here for? What is most important for you in this moment? What matters most in this relationship? What if this is your last meeting or moment with this person? Do you want to be here in presence and love, or do you want to cling to defending false conditioning? We squander so much of our lives away lost in things that are supposed to be important but that aren’t worth a minute of your time or attention. You can turn to this contemplation whenever you feel stuck or have a question about life, work, relationships, the meaning of how you are spending your time. It can help us see how we can contribute more meaningfully to the world, such as making a little extra food when cooking and giving it to the homeless person you pass every day. Being kind to the person serving you dinner or coffee. It takes you out from the need to be right to a place of seeking to understand. It allows for space so that you can be of service and provide leadership.
                    4. John might like you to realize as he wrote, “Awakening is not an idea; it is your natural state of being. Notice I say awakening rather than being awakened. This is because awakening is not an endpoint. It is a continuity that eternally unfolds. Human beings live on three levels simultaneously, our ordinary human level, the soul level, and lit by life or God. Though we usually tend to only know that we are alive in a more surface kind of way. Meeting the path of gentle upgrade with honesty helps you to begin to see that we have to honor our human lives, and as this more authentic way begins to help you access some space, you then start to see that we also live on the level of the soul. You might also be able to see that your uniqueness expresses from a deeper spaciousness that is before the soul that we might call God.

Sheryl would like to thank John Siddique author of Signposts of the Spiritual Journey for sharing practices and ways to be aware of life in all aspects of soul mind and body and for truly learning to enjoy the spiritual path we are all part of even if we are not fully aware of it at times.

In summarizing today’s episode of Healing From Within we have expressed ways to embark on a meaningful life or transformative journey for those seeking and opening of the mind and heart to rewire old thought processes overcome their mental roadblocks and find a spiritual life of enlightenment and to live authentically rather than from a place of false identity acquired beliefs and social mores that are not in your best interests and to learn practices such as meditation and being in silence to allow yourself the space to find peace and the true nature of being.

John wrote, “Our practice of arya mouna is so wonderfully helpful with this offering. It can help you touch the truth of your physical, mental, emotional and human needs, creating space as you naturally start to see the three levels of your life. Baby step by baby step, awareness moves out of the time-lag reactive state into a more natural and responsive place of presence that will lead you onward. Step by step, your daily life becomes more incrementally authentic, beautiful and meaningful, and what is perhaps the most significant and obvious secret begins to become more apparent, that your humanity is the spiritual path itself.”

John and Sheryl would have you discover that the spiritual path is one we all walk as our souls have incarnated into a physical life to experience the emotions and feelings only possible in a human body that allow us to refine our energy and led us to love more completely as we recognize the true magnificence of our life for creating through thoughts and actions a more purposeful and united life in alignment to All that is.

In today’s episode of Healing From Within Sherry shares her earlier childhood family chaos and how she knew she was destined for great things and believed in her personal potential to achieve the best life for herself, family and in her work experiences. We will be guided to understand the keys to embark on the quest for self-empowerment…the determination of your WHY or your goals, The WHAT- what needs your focus and attention to achieve Life Mastery in eight different aspects of your life. And the HOW—getting an assessment of where you are: what goals and action steps to take and the habits you need to instill or replace.

Sherry when asked to think back to her childhood and remember a person place or event that might have shown her or others the life values and life style they would embrace as an adult she immediately tells me she spent a lot of time on her own going to the movies and experiencing the many challenges that the characters on the screen faced. Through deep in the throes of childhood family chaos with two unstable and unhappy parents divorcing, marrying others, then remarrying-amidst constant moving and dysfunctional child rearing, Sherry still knew that she was destined for great things. She believed in her potential for greatness. Sherry tells us how she left home at 17, teen flirting with thievery, drugs and self- destruction, pregnant at 19, married by 22 and living a hippie lifestyle with all that implied in the 1970’s. She and her husband Ken lived on the edge of destitution until they began to explore personal development through books, tapes and live events with leaders in the movement of self – empowerment. Slowly they inched themselves and their six children forward toward a better, more rewarding and financially strong life.

Sherry tells us that things weren’t so good but things might have gotten worse for her family and her but a miracle happened. When Sherry was ten her parents divorced their spouses and remarried. Life was better for a while. The family moved to a small ranch in southeast Idaho and Sherry rode horses and excelled at debate. She had friends dated but still spent a lot of time alone. She was a thinker and a reader and wanted to know the secret to a successful life. The counselor at her high school once told her that it was normal for teens to want to fit in and then asked Sherry why she didn’t feel that way. The world had big plans for Sherry and how could she be classified as special if she blended in?

Sheryl has to say that as a gifted student who skipped almost 2 years of school and graduated high school at 16 years old, she felt much the same as Sherry. Work and helping the family was important and Sheryl wanted a home husband and successful healthy family and work life and for her that meant contentment security or making enough money to have a house, travel and pursue other learning experiences in life. Her hobbies were interior design, learning about antique film theatre writing but always learning something new, not really being part of groups, clubs or belief systems. A bit of a loner like Sherry, she was intuitive and knew somehow there was more to life than the materialistic world she and most people were focusing on, but still being a participant in what she was interested in kept her absorbed, not lonely or bored.

Sherry explores the purpose of life is to be happy and happiness is the universal desire of mankind but first each person must determine what brings fulfilment and purpose to life for in finding and working towards those ends happiness is the natural by product. Sherry and all those who strive to understand the purpose of a physical life come to realize that within us is a majestic power that when used with love can help us achieve many of the goals that lead to a peaceful and happy life.

What seems to be the key to happiness some might say service or love. There is a universal answer to what makes people happy. Personal progression toward an infinite potential is the key to happiness. In the Hebrew Torah the psalmist sings, “Thou hast made him (man) a little lower than God and crowned him with glory and honor,”

Abraham Maslow expressed the contradiction between our “nothingness” and our infinite possibility when he said, “We are simultaneously worms and gods.” Every time we become a little better and move closer to that divine infinite marvelous potential, we are a little happier because personal progression toward an infinite potential is the key to happiness.

Sherry suggests a little experiment to see that personal progression toward an infinite potential is the key to happiness. Do something that challenges you, something hard. Hike a steep hill, take a small gift to someone you don’t particularly like, make that call that you have been dreading, or apologize to someone you have offended, especially if you think you were justified. Gather up all your courage and do it, then see what your happiness level feels like. You will be proud of yourself! And because you like yourself more, your self-esteem will increase. You will stretch, you will grow, and you will be better than you were. You will be happier and like Bruce Barton said, “Nothing great has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside them was superior to circumstances.”

Since Happiness cannot be found in a life that is out of balance and to have full mastery of our lives we must determine WHAT needs improvement in each area of Life Mastery.

The areas of life we must concentrate on:

                      The Spiritual Self
                      Relationships
                      Education and Motivation
                      Vocation
                      Money
                      Lifestyle
                      Building Character.

Sheryl responds that as a Reiki Energy Practitioner in healing sessions she works on the chakra system or 7 main energy wheels of light which connect us to each other and the universal source of creation. If one wheel has been neglected or wounded it can be off balance or even wobble and must be restored as life and health are best when all the chakras are functioning well and in sync. In other words we must not neglect any aspect of our lives focusing only on some issues and not others.

In the introduction to the book Sherry tells the story Of Jerry Sternin who was sent by a humanitarian organization to Viet Nam to find a solution to help feed the families as 65 percent of children under the age of five were suffering from malnutrition. Though Sternin did not speak Vietnamese, had no funding and little government support he was able to find a brilliant solution.

Sternin searched for and found families where the children were thriving rather than starving even though they had no more financial means than the other villagers. He visited families at mealtimes to see what they did differently. He discovered the mothers of the thriving children were gathering tiny shrimps, crabs and snails from the rice paddies and cooking them along with sweet potato greens, into their children’s food. While this was not a common custom in Vietnam, adding these items gave the children vital nutrition. Sternin had found a sustainable solution to the plague of malnutrition and it was in reach of every family. Sternin recognized the real experts were the Vietnamese mothers who had found a way to nourish their children and had been practicing certain principles with success. He recruited and organized the mothers of the thriving children to teach those who had not discovered how to do it on their own. Vietnamese mothers became authorities as they taught what they knew to other mothers and those mothers became authorities also. They became successful living by certain principles and like those mothers success does not come from expert status, a degree or courses but from a life time of learning and practicing certain principles with success and once you achieve this state of being you also have an obligation to share them with others.

Sherry says that knowing your WHY is the critical first step in figuring out how to achieve the goals that excite you and can create a life where you thrive rather than just survive. Sherry says the road to change from young party people to joining the establishment to support your children might be hard. Brian Tracy writes “ We do not usually make significant and lasting changes in quantum leaps. All permanent change is progressive over a long period of time. This type of change requires patience and discipline. It is only this type of change that is worthwhile and enduring.

Sheryl has often told her Reiki students that to become proficient or really good in any area of life takes time, practice and continuous effort or perhaps 15 years to hone your skills at any profession or trade or area of life that is meaningful to you. Do not expect immediate success but expect to keep learning and improving skills till you master that challenge.

Sherry tells us that Ken and she married, loved their 6 children, worked hard but struggled to pay their bills, attempted a few ventures which failed, but over the next ten years were able to move their family into increasingly nicer homes and better lifestyles. Within 15 years of that experience we were independently wealthy, our marriage was loving, warm and romantic, family was thriving, we were physically fit, traveled and became the people that Lilly admired. Lilly is one of their 21 grandchildren. Our life is not perfect …no one’s is but by all measures we are successful.

Sherry says they achieved these things when many do not because there were three things going for them. We loved each other completely. We adored our little family and We trusted God. We also read the book called See You at the Top by Zig Ziglar and learned a few things about success. When asked how he was. Zig Ziglar always responded, “Outstanding But I am always improving.”

The full formula for happiness looks like this: Contentment + Progress = Happiness Contentment with yourself is necessary for change because we absolutely need a strong self-image to know we are capable and deserving of the best life has to offer. Sherry always believed that even after giving up the wild lifestyle of drugs sex and rock and roll. She also began considering spiritual things more seriously.

Sheryl in her new book A New Life Awaits addresses happiness in many ways and writes, “The focus has too long been simple “happiness.” Some people will do anything to ensure their own happiness. Happiness is however, the result of a purposeful life and a realization of our human and spiritual qualities. Chaney Weiner, author of Because This is Your Life, writes, “You are here to do amazing things in your life because you are a special person who has something of tremendous value to contribute to the world that is based on what is most important to you…Do what inspires you most; don’t let other people be a dark cloud that stops you from realizing the glowing truth that’s responsible in uncovering the magnificence of who you are; and don’t give up, don’t ever give up.

Sheryl also wrote, “Each of us, I have discovered, has a specific unique destiny, experiences, and challenges that are included in a life plan or itinerary that comes into this world with us at conception. At conception, the soul part of life merges with physical body for the ultimate purpose of exploring our divine potential. I was reminded recently that true happiness can only be found by understanding our true worth as divine beings having a physical life. When we are able to discern our part in the process of creating happiness for ourselves and others, we will also recognize that the instinctual need to grow and put forth our presence in the world is really our reason for being!”

We might ask what is necessary to achieve the drive for progression and can contentment be part of that goal or drive. It may appear at first that contentment and the drive for progression cannot coexist in the same individual, but like many of life’s ironies, they are not only compatible but are necessary to one another. The real enemy of contentment is stagnation. It is easy to confuse contentment with complacency. Complacency is the enemy of progress. A static life breeds discontent and restlessness, not contentment or happiness.

What do we think of teachers? We might think of teachers who in their heart are not a teacher by training but by an inner passion.

The progression of becoming a teacher:

                      1. Learn something valuable
                      2. Practice it until you become successful.
                      3. Teach it to other.
                      4. Sheryl says that she remembers when she had her first Reiki 1 Energy Healing Attunement at the Institute for Research and Enlightenment in New York City. At the end of the weekend training she asked her partner, a Reverend from Barbados what she was to do with this knowledge and healing practice and he said, “You will teach it.” And in time that’s exactly what Sheryl did. She wrote about it ,taught it to many students ,and followed her life plan which was to share the ancient healing art and awareness of Universal Source that life is eternal and we are spiritual beings having a physical life in order to love and learn and enrich ourselves and those we share time with.

Remember as Sherry says “When one teaches, two learn.” She writes that there are six things required before anyone can make large strides forward in their own personal development and enjoy the happIiness that is the companion to progress:

                        1. Know change is possible
                        2. Be accountable for current circumstances
                        3. Have a desire to change.
                        4. Educate about change
                        5. Apply that knowledge
                        6. Stay committed.
                        7. Many people have been conditioned to believe what they want is unattainable. This self-limiting belief impedes their efforts to progress and thereby stunts their opportunity for increased happiness.

Sherry writes, “In 2009 I opened a boutique fitness business called FitMania. We had three locations and hundreds of clients over the nine years I spent running the business. I would frequently have clients, or potential clients, in my office who desperately wanted to be lean and strong, but could not believe it was possible for them. There were plenty of people in the program who started in similar situations and were achieving their goals. That should have been evidence enough, but even after seeing the results too many still did not believe.

It was necessary to ask questions like:

                          1. What have you been conditioned to believe about your body that holds you back?
                          2. What have you been conditioned to believe about your earning potential?
                          3. What are you conditioned to believe about relationships?
                          4. What are you conditioned to believe about your intellect that holds you back?
                          5. What have you been conditioned to believe about yourself that holds you back?
                          6. Everyone of us can do more and be more than we think we can.
                          7. Don’t be held back by false beliefs about yourself?
                          8. Is there an upside to having a victim mentality? There is an upside to having a victim mentality. The benefit of being a victim may include the satisfaction of being right, getting attention, validation for your suffering from well-meaning people and having a built – in excuse for not taking control of your own life. Yes, it has a payoff and it is addictive but it is shallow compensation for all that you lose.

Example: There is a deep hole in the sidewalk…You fall in one, two three times and it takes forever to find a way out. Finally you walk around it after many failed efforts and decide to walk down another street. You have learned from the experience and ended your victimhood by moving to accountability.

Sherry tells us and this might be true for most of us that while the circumstances of her parents divorce moved many times and having a father who was a dreamer instead of hurting her may actually fit her life plan and needs and she found good in it and liked herself in the process. Every experience molds us but liking ourselves and embracing our challenges gives us the autonomy to think our own thoughts and live our own way. If you don’t like who you are go to work and become someone you can be proud of.
                          9. Sherry You give nine simple power phrases to keep you motivated. Use them liberally!

                            1. What you think about expands.
                            2. You can always do more than you think you can.
                            3. If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.
                            4. Staying strong in the middle is a life skill.
                            5. Finishing strong is a life skill.
                            6. No excuses.
                            7. Never give up.
                            8. No regrets.
                            9. Remember your why.
                            10. Sherry tells her story of her wanting to change the world. Getting a grip on the physical self is critical to all personal development and she felt the world needed new ways of thinking about food and exercise. She says that for most people the pain isn’t their health or even how they look to other people. It is the pain from looking in the mirror and knowing the image they see doesn’t reflect who they are on the inside. Sherry goes on to say that she felt if she could teach a few hundred people how to gain a new perspective on themselves and life and if each of those people influenced the lives of a few people and then these few influenced a few more then we could change the world. It was only as Steve Jobs put it, a “dent in the universe,” but the world is different because of my efforts. That is why it is important to remember the first step of your own awakening and remember your why?

Sherry might like readers of Life Mastery to remember their Big Dreams List In order to expand your Why increase level of happiness and keep focused on developing daily habits, setting and accomplishing goals, and dealing with failure. You must expand your Why to make it so compelling you can’t bear to quit and then stay focused on that Why so failure is never an option. There are some fortunate people who seem to be born knowing their Why but most of us will have to work on discovering our own.

Sherry encourages her Life Mastery clients to compile fifty items on their Big Dreams list before proceeding to the next skill. She discusses John Goddard who wrote his list when he was fifteen. The list included items from learning to type on a keyboard to climbing Mt. Everest. When he was fifteen he told Life Magazine “ all the adults I knew seemed to complain, Oh, if only I’d done this or that when I was younger. They had let life slip by them. Goddard was sure he could have a life of excitement and of fun and knowledge. As a teenager he wrote over 127 goals and he ended up accomplishing over 100 of those original goals. He explored rivers like the Nile and the Congo, climbed mountains learned to play musical instruments composed music, studied primitive cultures, became an accomplished typist, taught college courses, became an Eagle Scout, served a mission for his church, married and had children and maintained a weight of 175 pounds all his life. One of the items on his list was to live into the twenty-first century and he died in 2013 having lived a full life with, we assume, very few regrets.

We thank Sherry Stirling Fernandez, author of Life Mastery for sharing ways to recognize our personal power and means to improve all aspects of life through attitude, education, acceptance and allowing the best of our spiritual gifts to move through us and guide us to our best version of ourselves. www.LifeMasteryInfo.com

In summarizing today’s episode of Healing From we have explored the purpose of life which is to be happy and to find within us the power to create and manifest our most balanced and purposeful lifestyle which allows for love family prosperity health and a means to explore the world nature relationships in a way that provides deep gratitude and acceptance of life in all its unfolding dimensions and realities.

Sherry tells us that when she told her Dad about her new adventure, he was incredulous. He asked Sherry why she would want to start a business at this point in her life. He expressed his strong opinion that she had worked hard and should drive around in her convertible, play with her grandchildren and enjoy an easy life.

Sherry writes, “There were many reasons I couldn’t do that. The first is that I have a need to build and nurture. The second and more important reason is I have a mission. I believe strongly in the potential of humans and I believe I have the ability to empower people to reach out and grow toward that potential. My mission was clear because twenty -five years earlier, after much consideration, I wrote my Mission Statement. I had been using it to help me make decisions for all of those years. This is my Mission Statement: I use all the knowledge, wisdom and personal power I possess to empower others in their personal progression toward their infinite potential.

Sherry and I would have our listeners remember their childhood and the dreams and desires they expressed in their beds before going to sleep and then remember how many seemed just so big bold and undoable but we tell you those thoughts were not random: they came from deep within in you from your soul memory and there are many souls or people around you only waiting to see you rekindle the spark to excel and shine, with joy and light, and to fulfil your wildest dreams. It is all within reach when you ask for help you may discover who you are as a divine soul of potential and possibility!

                            11. A World Crisis, Many Choices for Reawakening to Healing with Maitreya

Welcome to Healing From Within with your host Sheryl Glick RMT Reiki Master Energy Teacher and author of the newest book in my trilogy A New Life Awaits Spirit Guided Insights to Support Global Awakening which shows us that our challenges are not economic political or societal but a deep disconnect from our inner soul wisdom and life force. I am delighted today to welcome Dick Larson will discuss the biggest event taking place in the world—the emergence of Maitreya the World Teacher to help mankind to once again remember who they are and how they can end this time of trauma for the world which is in the throes of a world pandemic, struggling economies and people separated from each other and the wholesome life enhancing universal values of cooperation and sharing.

As listeners of Healing From Within are well aware, Sheryl and her esteemed guests share intimate, sometimes unusual events and stories and insights which in a metaphysical sense show us that we are spiritual beings having a physical life, in alignment to the duality of physical life and both the spiritual and physical energies, which ultimately when understood, and merged, produce the ability to live miraculous lives leading to well being happiness, hope, joy and love. Of course it is necessary to remain open minded and open hearted for new ideas and thinking to come into minds filled with belief systems and habits acquired during a lifetime of influences imprinted on each individual through family and social mores.

In today’s episode of Healing From Within Dick Larson will tell us about Maitreya the World Teacher who has returned to show humanity the way. Sharing with us also, interesting insights into the work of Maitreya history and his group known as the Masters of Wisdom, equally divine and perfected Men, who have likewise returned to the everyday world to help humanity in the great changes and challenges facing mankind right now. We will discuss the group who has come with him known as the Masters of Wisdom and why they are working to help humanity to express oneness, achieve unity (in diversity) and equilibrium finding the transition point from upheaval and turmoil to cooperation and sharing which is a set of priorities Maitreya has to rebalance society and our planet. Maitreya’s advice will bring humanity to a simple choice.

When Dick is asked to think back to their childhood and remember a person, place or event which may have shown him what lifestyle and interests he would pursue as an adult he tells us he always loved his family church and thought he would be a preacher or minister. Wishing to help people his mind and heart were open to seeing the world beyond the limitations of the ego and as a result became aware of many forms of life both here and beyond the physical world and Earth.

Dick goes on to tell us about Maitreya, who he is, where he comes from, and why a World Teacher comes now. Maitreya is the embodiment of what we call the Christ Principle, the energy of Love. Maitreya is so advanced, so pure, He can embody in His own being, and not simply channel, the energy of Love, the second aspect of God. Through Jesus, He showed the Love of God in its perfection in a man for the first time, just as through the Prince Gautama, the Buddha showed the Wisdom aspect of God in its perfection in a man for the first time.

Now, for the first time in history, the Teacher has come into the world Himself. Maitreya is the head and leader of His group of disciples, the Masters of Wisdom, and holds the office of World Teacher. He has held this office for the last 2,000 years, appearing through Jesus, and will be the World Teacher for this coming age, the age of Aquarius, which is now beginning and will last about 2,350 to 2,500 years.

For thousands of years, Maitreya has lived in a retreat in the high Himalaya. But Maitreya arrived in the everyday world — He has never been away from the world but July 19, 1977 was his physical emergence into the world once again. On July 8, Maitreya descended from His mountain retreat in a self-made body, constructed especially for this mission in the world. This body allows Him to live at our level of existence, and at the same time be sensitive enough to bring in His consciousness as the World Teacher. Maitreya stayed on the plains in Pakistan for some days to acclimatize that body, and on July 19 came by plane into London, England. He has made the Asian community of London what He calls His point of focus in the modern world.

Maitreya’s advice will bring humanity to a simple choice between two lines of action: to ignore His recommendations and continue in our present mode of life, and so face self-destruction; or to accept gladly His counsel to inaugurate a system of sharing and justice which will guarantee a peaceful and prosperous future for humanity, and the creation of a civilization based on the inner divinity of all men. Maitreya is in no doubt of the choice we will make and looks forward to the open continuation of His mission on our behalf.

Maitreya has a set of priorities: food, shelter, health care, and shelter for all people, and the restoration of the environment to health. The achievement of these priorities rests on shifting our socio-economic structures away from competition and toward cooperation and sharing. Maitreya will advocate a crash program of aid—a global Marshal Plan—to end the worst elements of poverty. He will advocate the creation of an office of the UN for the redistribution of resources. All countries will make an inventory of resources (natural, technological, scientific etc.) and what they need. Anything in excess of their needs will be fairly distributed to any nation that is lacking that resource . Maitreya’s message is simple: we are all brothers and only by equitably sharing the world’s bountiful resources among all people will we manifest love, justice, freedom, unity and brotherhood? Dick Larson shares where he gets his information from and why we should believe him. He gets a good deal of his information from the book by Benjamin Crème, who details the planned return of our planetary Hierarchy and the descent of Maitreya from His Himalayan retreat in July 1977 and of His work in the world, albeit behind the scenes, since then. The book speaks to the enormous changes that His presence has brought about; of His plans and projects, and His priorities and recommendations in the immediate future time. It shows Him as a great and powerful Avatar and, at the same time, as a friend and brother of humanity. (Benjamin Creme London, March 2007).

Maitreya does not come alone. Fortunately, Sheryl does not believe that we are alone, or have ever been alone, without help, without guidance. There has stood behind humanity, from the earliest days of its existence, a group of men of extraordinary insight and wisdom, called the Masters of Wisdom, the Spiritual Hierarchy of our planet. The Masters of the Spiritual Hierarchy This group of men have gone ahead of us in evolution. They have come to a point where they need no further incarnational experience on Earth, but nevertheless, they remain to act as a kind of inner government of the world. The Masters are the Custodians of the Plan of evolution that is driving humanity forward and upward, whether we are aware of it or not. They have brought humanity from the stage of early animal man and woman to the point where we are today — guiding, protecting and stimulating the evolutionary advance of all people. Sometimes they have worked more openly, but for the last 98,000 years, with very few exceptions, they, have lived in the remote mountain and desert areas of the world, such as the Himalaya, the Andes, the Rockies, the Carpathians, the Urals, and the Gobi Desert and other deserts. From these mountain and desert areas, working mainly through their disciples, men and women in the world, they have guided humanity along the evolutionary path with their love and wisdom.

For over 500 years the Masters have known that sooner or later they would be required to come back into the everyday world, known to us for what They are. This pertains to their own evolution, quite separate from human evolution. The only question was when humanity would be ready for the return to the everyday world of such spiritual giants. Until relatively recently, it was thought it would probably be 1,200 or 1,300 years yet before we would be ready to receive men of that kind of spiritual potency into our everyday world. But in June 1945, at the end of the Second World War, Maitreya, the head and leader of that group of perfected men, announced His decision to return at the earliest possible moment into the world, along with a large number of His group. Maitreya said that He would come when a measure of peace 6 had been established in the world, when the energy we call goodwill, which the Masters see as the lowest aspect of love, was manifesting and leading to the establishment of correct human relationships, and when the religious and political groups were putting their houses in order. These conditions did not have to be perfectly met, but when our minds were at least moving in these directions, Maitreya said that He would come without fail at the earliest possible moment.

The coming of Maitreya was foretold 2,600 years ago by Gautama Buddha, who said that at this time would come another great teacher, a Buddha like Himself by the name Maitreya, who by dint of His colossal spiritual stature, would galvanize and inspire humanity to create a brilliant golden civilization based, as He put it, on righteousness and truth.

The following article is edited from Benjamin Creme’s public lectures in Tokyo in 2003 and in Osaka in 2006, and presents an overview of the emergence of the World Teacher and the Masters of Wisdom. Much of what Benjamin Crème has to say is already known, or if not known, easily available. Beginning in 1875, some of this information has already been published in books translated into many languages, and is available to anyone who takes the trouble to read them. The great disciple, Helena Petrovna Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society, began the dissemination of this information. She lived for three years in the Himalayan mountains with the Masters of Whom Benjamin speaks of. Her work was followed in 1924 by that of another great Russian disciple, Helena Roerich, through whom the Agni Yoga teachings were given to the world, and by a great English disciple, Alice A. Bailey, between 1919 and 1949.

Benjamin Creme writes, “I have been able to bring these teachings up to date, to show what is actually happening in the process of the return of the Masters to the everyday world. It is from my own personal experiences and contacts that I make these assertions. But I am not asking you to believe me. I am simply presenting my information to you for your consideration. If it appears to you to be reasonable and rational, if it seems to relate to present events, the happenings of the world that are taking place and have been for many years, if in a word it has for you the ring of truth, then by all means believe it, but otherwise not. I am perfectly conscious that much of this information will appear strange and perhaps unbelievable to some of you. If that is the case, please be assured that I shall not be the slightest bit offended or even disappointed. But if this information at least allows you to hope for a better future for yourself and your children, I shall be perfectly satisfied.”

Dick shares with us what he believes is a spiritual master. A spiritual master is someone who has stepped out of the confines and attachment to the world. Their interests in the concerns that are taught to be essential (romance making money having a great social network etc) are few to non-existent. Their interests tend to focus on what is nourishing, what is healing, and what is real. So if you ever happened to run into a spiritual master staring for long period of time at a field of unfolding sunflowers, this may not make sense to you because social conditioning has taught you that this is unimportant and that you should overlook it and otherwise assume that this blooming would always happen. But the spiritual master assumes nothing and embraces each moment as a beautiful unveiling and unfolding which will never happen quite like it ever again.

Dick is asked that assuming that what he says is true does it mean the end of the world? And why is there so much chaos/turmoil and lack of the divine human values taught by all religions?

Dick tells us that what the world needs now is the removal of fear and the renewal of hope. We are going through one of the greatest periods of tension since the end of the Cold War. This particular phase of tension and crisis began on 11 September 2001. On that day, an attack by foreign terrorists took place on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, DC, as well as a foiled attack on the White House. It was an attack not only on America, but on American power, represented by the Pentagon and the White House, and the major industrial nations of the world through the attack on the World Trade Center. That terrible, dramatic attack took America and the entire world by surprise and shock. The world has been in a state of shock ever since. But I suggest it should not have taken the world so much by surprise. It was one of the most daring, most audacious and most organized of many such attacks on the Western world. That attack resulted in an attack on Afghanistan in which more ordinary, innocent citizens of Afghanistan were killed than were killed in the World Trade Center on 11 September. This was followed by the American and British attack on Iraq, and the continuing occupation in which hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi citizens have also lost their lives. The American, British and other governments have not recognized that the attack on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, and the foiled attack on the White House, have a cause. It is the effect of a cause.

In other words, it is karmic. It is the result of the Law of Karma, the Law of Cause and Effect. The cause is complex, but put very simply, it is the extreme difference in living standards between the developed Western world and the developing world. One-third of the world — mainly America, Europe, Japan, Australia, and Canada — usurp and greedily waste three-quarters of the world’s food, and some 83 per cent of all other resources

For the last 2,150 years that alignment was with the constellation Pisces. We have been in the age of Pisces, and that age has come to an end. The sun has moved away from the sphere of influence of the energies of Pisces and is entering the same relationship with the constellation Aquarius, and therefore, with the energies of Aquarius. The energies of Pisces began to be withdrawn in 1625. The energies of Aquarius 8 began to come in and affect our planet in 1675. Today there is a kind of balance. The energies of Pisces and the energies of Aquarius are, as far as we are concerned, more or less equal, and that is our problem. The energies of Pisces are being withdrawn and have left all the structures that were built under their influence: political, economic, religious, social, scientific, educational, cultural and so on. All these structures have become crystallized. They are extant, but they no longer have the energy that brought them into being, so they do not work anymore. As we have responded to the energies of Pisces, they have completely split the world into tiny fragmented parts. The energies of Aquarius, which are mounting in potency with every day that passes, work on us in a very different way. They have a completely different effect on humanity. They are the energies of synthesis. As the energies of Pisces have divided the world, the energies of Aquarius will draw humanity together, blending and fusing humanity into one group

We will recognize him and know he is the World Teacher and what does he share about the future of our life on Earth and can we help also?

Dick and Sheryl discuss how the awareness of UFO’s fit into the work of Maitreya and If so where did they come from and why are they here? Dick tells us that there is life on Mars and Venus and that those beings have evolved beyond the physical and are in etheric form or energy beings and that’s why unless you have the ability to see spirit they are not visible to you. Dick tells us they are highly advanced life and are here on Earth helping to clean up the environment from within and again only visible to us if they choose to make their presence known. Dick calls them our brothers and sisters and says they do not like to be called Aliens.

Sheryl says that in her new book A New Life Awaits; Spirit Guided Insights to Support Global Awakening she writes about some of the guests who were on her radio podcast show who have had experiences with extraterrestrials. She herself had an encounter over 20 years ago that made her realize life was not exactly what she had always thought it to be. One of the people Sheryl met at a spiritual convention in Arizona was Victoria who told Sheryl she had been encountering guidance from extraterrestrials since she was a child. Sheryl asked if she found them to be friendly and what they looked like. Yes, they were friendly, and they looked like her: blonde, quiet, and calm. They were here, as was she, to help humanity. Thinking about it, aren’t we all ETs? Our spirit and soul come from a higher plane of energy, or star dust, and combine with a physical body. Some light workers are here to improve the human condition. Others are here mainly for earthly or physical experience, but we are all Spirit. I might have been slightly judgmental when listening to Victoria describe she was connecting to extraterrestrial light beings but was it so out of the ordinary? Years ago, I would have totally freaked out at such an announcement, but since I know all is illusion in this physical world, I cannot say one way or the other whether there is truth or falseness in this woman’s claim.

Sheryl wrote, “I realize that over the last few years, I have interviewed a group of scientists exploring infinite possibilities for life beyond what we can know in this three-dimensional world and have been amazed to listen to extraterrestrial stories in a more open-minded fashion. I have interviewed many notable guests who are exploring the extraterrestrial phenomenon. Robert Salas, author of Unidentified: The UFO Phenomenon and a graduate of the USAF Academy with a degree in Aerospace Engineering, now retired from the Air Force, offers extensive testimony and documentation by military officers and airmen of their eyewitness accounts of UFO occurrences, alien abductions, and threats to military installation.

Another guest on my internet radio show, Healing From Within, was Betty Andreasson, a warm and everyday kind of individual who was studied extensively by government agencies for her remarkable drawings and descriptions of her 1967 abduction by what she described as entities who made her feel they were friendly and peaceful. Still another wonderful guest was Ted Peters, author of UFOs: God’s Chariots?, who has spent a lifetime exploring the many events and reports worldwide by people who have experienced interactions with higher beings. Most recently, I have interviewed Nancy Du Tertre, author of How to Talk to an Alien. As the other guests, her credentials and credibility are impeccable. “

Bill tells us why extraterrestrials make the crop circles that are seen around the world and what is their spiritual mission here? The crop circles are markers for these extraordinary exterrestrials to send light waves to help balance the damage done to earth over centuries of abuse of resources by humans. It is very important for Earth to restore itself and these advanced souls are helping in that area of restoration.

Sheryl says that there was a movie “Signs” with Mel Gibson whose character lived in a rural area and the crop circles were on his land so there is awareness of UFO’s and governments around the world have much documentation of this phenomenon.

Sheryl has interviewed many guests military officers college professors and Barbara Anderson who was abducted years ago. who have shown compelling evidence of the proof of UFO’s If you go to her website www.sherylglick.com you can check out several of those guests?

Dick tells us his view of the Covid virus pandemic is different from much that we hear in the news and why there are earthquakes, floods, wars , pollution and social discord. These are called acts of nature, acts of God. But they are in this case a result of the Law of Karma. The crisis that manifested itself as the SARS infection in China and elsewhere, for example, the epidemics of flu throughout Europe, are the direct results of the fear generated from the crisis conditions set up by the US attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq. It is not a question of God punishing the aggressor. It is a simple law of the interconnectedness of all atoms in the universe. What happens here sets up something that will inevitably happen elsewhere by the law of action and reaction. When humanity truly understands this law, the Law of Karma, not just as an intellectual idea, it will see that every thought, every action, sets into motion a cause or causes. The effects stemming from these causes make our lives good or ill. The need for harmlessness in every action in our lives becomes apparent. When we act, we have to know what the result of this action could be. If the action is destructive, it produces destruction in the world. If the action is not destructive, if it is creative, if it is harmless, it creates harmlessness, it creates good in the world. We have our evolution in our own hands. We are responsible. Every act, every thought is part of the thoughts and actions of all humanity, and affects all humanity. We cannot imagine how far our thought proceeds before it returns as the reaction to a cause. When humanity’s thoughts and actions are destructive, when we create thoughtforms of destruction, attack, killing and fear, we generate thereby thoughtforms that impinge on the forces of nature. These forces are under the control of the device or angelic evolutions. They go out of equilibrium as we are out of equilibrium, and earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, typhoons are the results.

Dick would like readers to take away with them after learning about Maitreya’s hopes for humanity that Humanity needs above all to establish peace. Without peace there will be no future for humanity because we have the nuclear capacity to destroy the world and all life, human and subhuman alike. How do we get peace? That is the essential question. Certainly not using the methods of the American and British governments in recent times when they attack one country after another. That is certainly not going to give peace to the world. It will not even end terrorism in the world. There will never be an end to terrorism until the world itself has changed. Only one thing will create peace and the end of terrorism — the creation of a JUST world. If there is no justice, there will never be peace. If there is no justice, there is no hope for any of us because everybody in the world will die unless we establish justice in the world.

There is only one way to establish justice and that is to share the resources of the world more equitably. It is so simple and yet we refrain from doing it. Without sharing there will never be justice. Without justice there will never be peace. Without peace there is no future for us. So what do we have to do? The developed nations have to realize that the world’s food and resources belong to everyone, are given by divine providence for all the peoples of the world, not just the developed nations who have the money to buy the food and resources. They have the money to buy because they are more advanced technologically, more advanced in industry perhaps. But the goods they produce do not give value to the resources and activities of the people of the Third World. This approach is cavalier, dishonest, greedy and selfish, and has to change, otherwise there is no future for the world. The Masters of the Spiritual Hierarchy have plans for the redistribution of the world’s resources, which will be presented as soon as humanity says: “You are right. We believe that the only way is by sharing better resources. How do we do it?

We thank Dick Larson for sharing his knowledge of Maitreya and his Masters of the Spiritual Hierarchy who are here at this time in human history to help us move past these difficult times to raise the vibration of souls to a higher level of awareness and consciousness of the true nature of life and to find peace cooperation, to save humanity, and our precious planet Earth.

In summarizing today’s very interesting and futuristic look at the spiritual help that will and is being provided by spiritual teachers like Maitreya and his Masters of the Spiritual Hierarchy we come to think about and hopefully know that we are spiritual beings having a physical life enabling us to refine our soul eternal life force through experiences in a world that offers many challenges and opportunities to learn and love becoming aware of all that is that is often forgotten by souls as they incarnate into a new physical life. Dick tells us the time is coming when Maitreya will be known by the world and in Benjamin Crème’s book he writes “The United States and European stock markets have been going up and down, up and down, but do not actually follow through as they have done in Japan. Maitreya is waiting for the collapse of the US and European economies to come forward, to present Himself to the world, to start His public teaching. But events in the world are so critical, with so much tension and fear, that Maitreya is concerned to come forward as soon as possible. He is taking every opportunity to present Himself closer and closer to the groups who are working for the Reappearance but also on a wider scale to the people in the world. He talks to people at all levels, ordinary people and those most useful at every level — political, economic, social, scientific, educational, and so on — people who can help the world, who have influence for good in the world. In this way He has built up a great body of people who in the immediate future will begin the changes necessary to transform the world for the better. When Maitreya comes forward, He will not at first use the name Maitreya. He will present Himself as an ordinary person, although, of course, an extraordinary person. He will appear at first in America on television on a large network, and then 14 in Japan and around the world. He will become known for His analysis of the world’s needs. Look for a man who is calling for justice for all the world, freedom for all the world.

Maitreya is omniscient and omnipresent, and everyone above the age of 14 will hear His words, His thoughts, His ideas inwardly, silently, telepathically in their own language. As you are watching this face, His lips will not move, He will not speak, but His ideas will come into your mind. The French will hear Him in French, the Germans in German, the English in English, the Dutch in Dutch, the Japanese in Japanese, and so on throughout the world. Whatever you are doing, if you are out fishing or under the car, if you are not watching television, you will still hear the voice, the thoughts, the ideas of Maitreya inwardly. This miracle is a repetition, only now on a world scale, of the true happenings of Pentecost 2,000 years ago.

Maitreya will give a short history of the long history of the world, and show the height from which humanity has fallen into the materialism of today. He will introduce the fact of His group, the Spiritual Hierarchy of Masters. He will show the future, and outline some of the extraordinary scientific marvels that will open up new life for humanity. He will make His appeal for justice, for sharing as the only way to justice, and so to peace in the world.

Wendy as listeners of Healing From Within are so well aware my guests and I offer intimate and insightful views of life in its entirety reminding us that we are much more than we appear to be and in working with our spiritual goals we are able to create lives of purposefulness health happiness and intimate relationships with those we love. Our perceptions of ourselves, life and death and energy are the keys to unlocking many mysteries and once understood allow all fear, limitation and suffering to fall by the wayside. Life is indeed an interesting mix of people, events and happenings all designed to lead us to our best reality.

In today’s episode of Healing From Within Wendy Darling will share the belief that It is never to late to recover the dreams and passions you have set aside to find the purposeful path, have the relationship you want, start a family, even find love again in later life, regardless of the reason age, money, family commitments, marriage breakdown, exhaustion, health, past failure, lack of education. There is help with and around you to ignite the pilot lights of individuals, couples and companies.

Wendy I always love to ask my guests to think back to their childhood and remember a personal event that may have shown them or others the interests and lifestyle they might pursue as an adult for it appears that we enter life with a life plan and destiny which unfolds in time.

What was the motivation and inspiration for writing this book? Why did you choose the theme, It’s Never Too Late? Wendy writes, “ As I mentioned, we are in the midst of a global pandemic as I write this book. Never in our entire lives have we experienced anything like this. Between the virus, political unrest, rioting, jobs lost, and people clearly struggling, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see we are struggling in so many ways.

I found myself wondering how we were going to come out of this situation. What is happening that so many people are unhappy, angry, and frustrated? As I write, I do not have any answers to that, yet. But I do feel it may get worse before it gets better. I hope I am wrong. And the theme of “it’s never too late” is now very timely, maybe even critical. Many need to feel more hope. More support. We are going to have to build our world from a renewed foundation. It’s never been more important for you to step up and step out. For you to offer whatever gifts and talents you have, to be a part of the healing our world needs. Contributing your gifts and talents will make a difference that is very much needed today. THIS IS YOUR TIME! There are people waiting and wanting what you have to offer—the gifts and talents that you and only you can provide. Whether it be supporting a good friend or having a service or product reaching those who can benefit, your life and contribution matters and makes a difference”

What health challenges did you face as a result of an accident that made you begin to realize you could change your thoughts and improve your life?

Wendy writes, “The time after my accident was the most challenging time in my life. The trauma of my accident left me fearful and vulnerable, two emotions I had never really experienced in my adult life. I had previously been a person who never thought twice about taking a risk, entering new territory. Now, I had immediately become someone who did not trust herself or anything else about life. Not a fun place to live. The reality was, those insecurities had always been there. They were just buried alive and now revealed. I discovered that I had been living my life on a shaky foundation and significantly overcompensating from the wounds of my childhood.

At the beginning of my recovery, I was wondering and primarily focused on what it was going to take to heal my body. My leg had been shattered, and for many months, I had a lot of uncertainty if I would be able to walk again. I also had a broken back, so I was (obviously) not in a very active stage of my life. Between surgeries (I had five of them to repair my leg), I would do what I could to rebuild my strength. I would walk as far as I could on crutches. I remember the first time I tried I was able to walk as far as the end of my driveway. Eventually, I walked throughout my neighborhood. People would stop and cheer me on. Many said that when they saw me “walking,” they felt there was no excuse for them. Those moments meant the world to me, since I could not see how my future was going to unfold. It was a very confusing and soul-searching time for me.

Mainly, I felt tremendous pain in my heart. And around the time I began getting stronger, the biggest blow was about to happen. When my former husband and I eventually went to court, the judge awarded full custody of our son to him.

Losing custody of my son literally finished me off. The best way I can explain what happened to me was it felt like something “snapped” inside my brain. It was like a critical “connector” in my life’s circuitry broke. I’m sharing my story because I believe we all have things in our life that potentially take us to our knees. We all have made choices whose consequences provided us with a wake-up call of what is most important, and what needs to change. Maybe that time for you is now?

What had you begin writing and talking about miracles? Why miracles? Sheryl states that miracles are all around us but when we are in a state of unknowingness denial or simply beaten down by the heaviness of our own or other people’s challenges we forget to remember how miraculous life really is and don’t believe change is possible. Sheryl in her book A New Life Awaits, wrote, “Since most people fear change, they resist commitment to their soul growth or development. They linger in a state of physical unconsciousness. It is easier to feed the physical body than it is to feed your spiritual essence. There can be little change in a person’s understanding of who they are when they are only concerned with the joys of a physical life. I believe that we are all entitled to a beautiful and joyful material life, but it will not happen fully if we only focus to that end and the spiritual concerns and issues of a person are denied. When one aspires to love their essence and entire being, physical and energetic, major changes in all aspects of life must occur

Wendy You have a transformational system. The Miraculous Living Method. What is this and how is it possibly unique and different from other systems?

For many years, I used my process to look for thoughts and beliefs that were limiting my actions and results. However, after learning more about how the mind works, I realized that I had inadvertently programmed myself to always be looking for what was wrong and not working. That meant I was living in a “find it and fix it” mentality, which continues to strengthen the neural pathway and belief that “something is always wrong.” Then, one amazing day, I had the thought: What if I was examining from an incorrect perspective? What if we had it backward? Instead of looking to the past, what if we created our future and, in doing so, could it still be possible the past can be released? So, I experimented.

The Miraculous Living Method is (partially) comprised of Sound Healing, Hands-On Transformational Energy Cards, and Affirming Statements and Scenarios. The sound healing carries the energetic frequency of love. By itself, it is very effective. After my transformational cards were birthed, I started to combine them with the sound healing. Now the process became even more effective. Because of what I have learned about the “frequency of energy,” the feelings of love and gratitude actually carry a higher vibration, which allows the feelings with a lower vibration, such as anger and sadness, worry, and frustration to be melted and loved away. The sound healing carries this higher frequency as do the transformational cards. While listening to the sound healing and placing your hands on the transformational cards, they create a unique and effective energy “loop”. Then, I added “affirmations” to the mix. When you say an affirmation in the bubble of the sound healing and transformational cards, old and erroneous thoughts rise to the surface and can be released (actually, the emotional charge associated with the thought and/or feeling). Meanwhile, the mind begins to strengthen whatever thought is being infused. This is either strengthening an existing neural pathway, or—if one does not already exist—the process creates a new one. Now, your energetic vibration increases. You now are in energetic alignment with your desired goal. But it doesn’t stop there. Taking this approach, the Miraculous Living Method provides the vehicle for even better results. Life becomes easier, more peaceful. Taking action becomes easier. Results are achieved faster. So, it is not just the physical that needs our attention. We must focus on your Energy System, Your Mind/ Body/Emotional/Spiritual system. That is how you create a miraculous life!

Wendy wrote, “Dear God, I am beyond grateful to be learning how to be more connected with you. To be able to tap into your infinite wisdom that you are continuously pouring through me. That your Divine Loving Energy helps me to release the blocks that have been keeping away all the good you’ve been trying to provide for me. I am grateful that I am learning how to love and release those places of stuck energy and emotions. I am grateful I am learning how to support my mind to be thinking healthier and happier thoughts. I am forever grateful that I am on this incredible journey of creating a miraculous life,”

In your book you refer to your Results Accelerator process. Tell us more of this.

Wendy remembers doing the Results Accelerator exercise at one of my speaking engagements. I looked down and saw a man whose eyes were as big as saucers. She asked if he was willing to share what was going on for him. He had been struggling with his business and was working many hours trying to get things in a more profitable position. His Results Accelerator was family. It turns out he was spending a lot of time with his work and missing being with his family. She encouraged him to do a little experiment: to carve out more family time in the next two weeks and see if he noticed any changes with his business. He reached out to me about a month later, stating that he had been leaving his office earlier, spending more time with his family, and his business was showing very strong improvements in orders received. He was feeling more confident about the future. In his case, he was being nourished by the love of his family, which somehow was resulting in the growth and profits of his business Another example of the Results Accelerator process…sometimes the issue you think is the problem is not really and when you address the real problem everything falls into line.

By now, Wendy was using the Results Accelerator. In Beth’s case, her Results Accelerator was she was to first focus on her career. When I shared this with Beth, she was not happy with me. She came to me to release her excess weight, not talk about her career. However, once she explained a little more, our conversation shifted. It turns out that Beth was really unhappy with her current job. Although we were still going to focus on her health, it was going to be important that we also focused on the possibility of her finding a new job. She shared with her that I never knew why someone was guided to begin a certain way; however, she had learned to trust the process. And I encouraged Beth to do the same. So, she began looking at what jobs might be out there. In a matter of 3 weeks, Beth found a new job. And what was even more wonderful? After she began her new job, the pounds started to melt off her body! Simply amazing

What can people begin to do to make their lives more miraculous?

Perhaps simply know there is a higher force as Wendy writes, ” I know that there is a Universal intelligence that is looking out for you, guiding you in ways to fulfill your deepest desires. I believe these “forces” have been with you your entire life. In fact, I actually believe your desires are placed within you so that you grow, develop, and contribute in a way you were designed to live and contribute. I am a spiritual person, so please choose what words may serve you most. I believe in God. I welcome and embrace all religions. I also believe we have a “team” of guides that are assigned to keep a closer eye on us. I believe your soul speaks to you through the desires of your heart. And this guidance, when cultivated, is just about all you need to experience and accomplish everything you could ever desire in your life. Talk about having an executive coach! God, your soul, and your “team” is the best there is

A lot of people have gotten out of shape health wise during the pandemic or suffered loss of income. What can you suggest for them to move past this? There has been a lot of suffering and loss of life How do you suggest people deal with the grief of these tragedies?

Wendy and Sheryl see that perhaps good will eventually come out of the pain and sadness of this life altering event and see Covid as perhaps an opportunity to have a second chance at life For those who have been sick and recovered, and for those who have lost family members or worked in medical facilities dealing with the illness receiving gratitude and giving love to the sick and their families, Wendy writes, “As mentioned, I’m writing during a “forced time out” in our world. We are experiencing COVID-19. Never in my lifetime have I experienced anything like this. Yet, despite all these very legitimate concerns, I can’t help but wonder how this possibly holds an opportunity. An opportunity of deciding what matters most. An opportunity to slow down. An opportunity to pull together as a family, as a community, as a nation, as a world. It’s a wake-up call like none other we’ve ever experienced. What are you choosing? Even if you are reading this many months/years after this event, this is your opportunity to take a closer look at what matters most to you. What do you want? Could this be the opportunity to focus on what really matters and makes a difference in your life? Your health? Your relationships? How you contribute to the world? Isn’t that what ultimately matters the most? What might you be tired of dealing with? Where might you be struggling? Maybe it’s finally time to find the places within you that have been buried deep, keeping you from living a more fulfilling, miraculous life.”

For those juggling with family responsibilities what might you offer parents so they can take care of themselves, each other and their children?

Wendy wrote, Dear God: Even though you know how much I want to feel the relief of experiencing life in a gentler, easier way, please help me release the internal thoughts and emotions that are fighting to keep that from happening. I can no longer fight. Help me find gentler, kinder, more loving ways to accept myself. Love myself. Appreciate myself. Help me recognize the beauty life has to offer. Help me find the next step that will take me in a healthier and happier direction. Help me discover the magic that truly exists in our world today.”

What do you have as a daily practice that helps you in living a more miraculous life?

EXERCISE: This exercise was given to me many years ago from the Avatar community, called “Care for the Animal.” This exercise allows you to demonstrate love for your body. The power of love is transformational. I encourage you to do this exercise daily. Find a time where you can be in quiet and begin relaxing. Your body is like a newborn child, totally dependent on you for care. Without your efforts, it cannot survive. If you have ever held a newborn child, your heart overflows with love. You are going to treat your body with a tender, loving touch. Look at your forearm with love. Gently stroke it, showering it with feelings of love. Move your hand to your upper arm, caressing it, gently stroking it, sending that part of your body lots of love. Continue this process with each part of your body. When you finish, just sit there for a few moments, feeling all the love you have poured into your body. A daily practice is what works best. With time you will begin noticing a healthier relationship with your body.

I have seen people lose weight and/or restore their health by just doing this one exercise

If you could advise your younger self, what would you want her to know or what do you wish you had learned at an earlier age? Wendy might wish that at an earlier age she knew herself better and had confidence that she could create her goals and accomplish them. Wendy writes, “This is the part of your journey to get deeply honest about what you want to experience in life. Maybe it’s finally welcoming love into your life. Maybe it’s exploring a new career or business. Maybe it’s strengthening your finances and creating wealth. Maybe it’s regaining your health. Learning how to paint. Or simply finding new ways to have fun. Maybe it’s all of these and more. Only you know what it is that you want. You have the opportunity and responsibility to identify your life’s purpose, your mission in life.

I also believe that there are many different ways to do that. My purpose is assisting people to fulfill their purpose, their Divine Destiny, while living the life of their dreams. For me, having my dreams fulfilled is telling me I am “on track” to fulfilling my Divine Destiny. I don’t believe that you have to fulfill your purpose first. In fact, I believe that some of your dreams coming true are simply confirmation that you are on the right path.

What do you want readers of Create Your Miraculous Life to take away with them after reading your book?

Wendy would like readers to remember to “Let’s compare your desire to a beachball. A beachball is very light. However, when you hold a beachball under water, it takes a certain amount of effort to keep it there. Your buried desire is similar. It takes energy to keep a desire buried. But once you embrace that desire, it’s just like releasing the beachball and allowing it to pop out of the water. You’ll find you begin to feel lighter, better. You’ll notice feeling more hopeful. And you also begin to have “synchronistic” experiences. There is also the possibility that you may have some underlying issues show up; however, you may be more aware that this needs to be dealt with (the gift of the Miraculous Living Method).

Sheryl says Once you begin to be aware of synchronistic happenings and coincidences your heart and mind are beginning to realize you are more than the physical body and this physical life and begin to pay attention to your intuition or inner soul wisdom helping you remember who you are A Spiritual being having a physical life and by merging this new awareness many miracles small and large begin to present as we all personally hold the power to create and manifest what is within are life plan and destiny. It is much easier to do if you truly know who you are, where you come from and what life is all about.

Wendy wrote, “Dear God: I know that you want every single desire that lives in my heart to materialize. In fact, I believe you want even more for me than I want for myself. Help me believe again. Restore my hope. Help me regain my faith. Let me bask in your love. And from there, allow me to know the truth of who I am and all that I am to experience. And please guide me toward my next step so that I am one step closer to having my dreams fulfilled. Thank you for loving me, believing in me, and guiding me”

In summarizing today’s episode of Healing From Within we have discovered once again that no matter the circumstances or challenges we face with the right mindset and perspective to moving beyond that difficulty there is a way to begin to change our thoughts and actions and tap into the divine state of creation from our heart and soul inner connection to Universal Source and begin to create what is more in alignment to our life goals thereby creating a reality that can reflect harmony balance love and happiness. Beyond all fear and suffering we can change the energy we are creating with our mind. Negativity breeds more negativity ..acceptance allowing and surrendering to any situation with grace brings us to a higher state of consciousness and we then reside in love compassion and eternal life.

Wendy and I would have you remember that The Universe loves it when we take action! And remember, any step is one step closer to fully living your miraculous life. We do it every day when we wake up with the intention to have a good day. The thought is the step to realizing what we truly are capable of creating.

As listeners of Healing From Within have come to expect over the years Sheryl and her intuitive compassionate guests share intimate insights in the true nature of physical and energetic life in an effort to truly understand human and divine qualities and the way we may merge the best of both realities for creating and manifesting health, peace, prosperity, and more loving relationships for a happier, compassionate and loving life journey.

In today’s episode of Healing From Within, Cyndi Dale who is the author of 28 books on energy medicine, intuition, and spirituality, will share an understanding of trauma and stress and why it is so important to consider the subtle inner causes of trauma rather than only the physical causes. We will discuss the energy of disease and how fear and our thought processes encourage illness to thrive and then suggest how to make changes that can heal illness and these same fearful limitations.

Trauma is related to stress. Cyndi says “To understand what trauma is we must understand what makes forces destructive or harmful and that is not the energies themselves, but whether or not they’re compatible with our original energetic signature. This is our master energetic code, the culmination of everything unique about our body, mind, and soul. This signature determines what external energies will nourish us or harm us, whether they enter during life events, through food or other physical substances, or as subtle feelings and thoughts. Whether we’re facing a one-time crisis or an ongoing challenge, we’ll be able to respond to the energies that match our original energetic signature, and we’ll react negatively to those that don’t.

Cyndi defines “trauma as the damage caused by the initial disruptive, incompatible force, which is delivered from outside of ourselves. Because trauma is inflicted outside to inside, it must be healed the same way. We require help from another person, living being, or even a spiritual guide or the Spirit. Beyond that initial trauma, there is the damage caused by secondary energies or secondary forces. These secondary energies or forces are created from within, during our system’s physical and energetic response to the initial trauma. If they aren’t addressed, they remain “stuck” in our body and our energy systems, continuing to cause more harm—harm that, over time, most often manifests as chronic illness or other ongoing challenges. Because these secondary energies are self-generated and harm us from the inside, they must also be energetically healed from the inside. I’ll provide you with insights and techniques that will allow you to accomplish this deep inner metamorphosis.”

The differences between….and also the inter-personal relationships between physical and subtle causes of trauma can be observed. Cyndi gives us an overview of how incompatible energy not only harms us during a traumatic event, but also keeps adversely affecting us over time if we don’t address it. Now we’re going to unpack some of the key concepts Cyndi introduced, including our subtle energy anatomy (and how it relates to our physical anatomy), our original energetic signature, forces and how they operate, and how our physical and energetic responses to trauma can lay the foundation for chronic illnesses, including autoimmune disorders.

Energy has two components: information and movement. The information is the programming that tells something what to be. For instance, the information within your morning java tells your coffee to be coffee. If you alter that information, that coffee might change—maybe it goes from dark roast to light roast; perhaps it becomes a cup of tea. The energy of everything in this universe also vibrates or moves. Even something as hardcore as a solid object is actually vibration, or waves of frequency. The two types of vibration are light and sound. These core units of energy are differentiated by the rates of their vibrations. We know what color something is by its vibration; we can tell the difference between a dog’s bark and a cat’s meow in the same way.

When we adjust an object’s vibration, it changes. Vibrationally, we are modifying reality all the time.

Governed by the laws of classical science, physical energies are measurable and respond to concrete actions. Subtle energy, on the other hand, can’t always be measured and operates according to different rules, or the lack of them. There are many other names for subtle energy, such as psychic, spiritual, and mystical. I like the word subtle because it best describes the nature of these slippery, sly, and stupendous energies, which are explained by quantum science. Quanta are the smallest units of reality. There are various types of quanta, including quarks, tachyons, and gluons. The truth is, we don’t really know how many types of quanta exist because of the unique ways they operate. For instance, in the quantum world, an object doesn’t exist unless it’s observed. If two particles meet, they forever remain entangled, or interconnected. They will continue to affect each other, even when thousands of miles apart.

Quantum laws actually underlie classical science’s rules of energy’s behavior. Quanta aren’t concrete unless voted into reality consciously, and neither is the material world. Everything around you? Most of it is empty space; the objects in it are determined by the appearance and disappearance of quanta, or subtle energies, which are made of infinitesimally small, vibrating strings of energy. As Albert Einstein once said, “Matter is simply slowed-down energy waves that vibrate at different frequencies, all occupying mainly empty space.”

It is important to consider the subtle causes of trauma rather than only the physical causes. If you were to ask an anatomy professor where your liver is, they’d point to a specific spot on the right side of your upper abdomen. But ask a Chinese medical practitioner and they’d point to many different places in your body. That’s because in traditional Chinese medicine, as in other Asian and indigenous healing modalities, the liver organ is merely the visible component of a much vaster, albeit invisible, structure. Most of us have been educated about our physical anatomy, at least to some degree. Its components can be grouped into three major categories: organs, channels, and electromagnetic fields. The organs include the liver, heart, and spleen. The channels include the lymph and cardiovascular vessels. Every part of your body, including the tiniest atoms in your cells, generates electricity, which in turn creates fields made of electricity, magnetism, or electromagnetism. Most of these fields add up to a collection of electromagnetic fields (EMFs), or fields of light, that is the self. So, in a way, you’re a giant light bulb field.

Less well known is our body’s subtle anatomy. It’s formed from the same three constituents as the physical—organs, channels, and fields—but the components are more interactive and powerful. The most influential subtle organs are the chakras, or energy centers. Every chakra regulates and impacts a region of the physical body and its related functions. It also regulates a set of psychological and spiritual tasks. When they’re humming along, chakras convert physical energies into subtle energies and vice versa. This means that chakras register what happens to you not just physically and materially, but also emotionally, mentally, verbally, and spiritually. They also serve as mini brains for your body, deciding how you’ll respond to stimuli.

Cyndi and Sheryl give an example of someone being traumatized physically and also subtly. It is very important to understand why we do better with some people and their energies than others. Since our original energetic signature is programmed into our bodies during conception, allowing for life to begin, we begin immediately to interact with both physical and subtle energies that aren’t always constructive for us. Much of the time, we adapt. We absorb and process beneficial energies and neutralize debilitating energies. But if the absorbed energies are extremely detrimental or we are chronically exposed to incompatible energies, the following can occur:

We can’t personalize our decisions. When we can’t relate to our original energetic signature, we can’t figure out what is good for us. We flail about, unable to select anything from healthy foods to uplifting relationship partners.

If we are not in alignment to our soul life journey and destiny and do not remember who we are or why we are having a physical life in the first place, we often make mistakes and take detours from our original energetic signature, wasting time and harming our body and subtle energies which then need to be restored to well -being.

Sheryl says “Long ago when she was a young woman a man approached her and a thought floated through her head, “I don’t think so!” Now she knows it was a flash of intuition or subtle energy imprinted by a thought energy to save her from suffering in a limited relationship, one not of her own energy signature. But like most of us we don’t pay attention to this divine help until often years down the road when we are able to understand more about the physical and spiritual realms and discover ways that we are being guided to fulfil our original soul purpose or mission, as well as live an interesting physical life gathering experiences.”

Cyndi says that there are subtle or invisible energies carried in on “forces” that cause most of our trauma. She gives us some examples (Environmental, physical, verbal, digital, spiritual?)

All Challenges Are Energy Based. Energy is information that moves, and it comprises absolutely everything, including both the tangible and intangible aspects of ourselves. Energy underlies every life disrupter and resulting hardship—physical, psychological, and spiritual. It also underlies every good thing in life and the resulting joy and peace—physical, psychological, and spiritual. This means that powerful changes can occur if we work on an energetic level to fix them. To understand how, you first need to know that there are two types of energy: physical and subtle. Most healing processes, such as the use of prescription medicine, specific diets, physical therapies, simple cognitive processes, and even the old adage “Time heals all wounds” are based on physical energy. The physical universe certainly counts when we’re working toward alleviating our adversities.

In fact, there are biological reasons why our body requires (but also resists) healing, and there are physical energy modalities that support healing. The key to freedom from physical and subtle complexities, however, often lies in the other energetic domain—that of subtle energy. Subtle energies—also called psychic, intuitive, and quantum energies—are inseparable from the material self. They aren’t just some mystical phenomena that float around haphazardly. They actually underpin and organize physical reality, including your physical body.

In Sheryl Glick’s second book in a trilogy, The Living Spirit: Answer for Healing and Infinite Love, Sheryl addresses the many subtle energy techniques available to balance the mind, body, and spirit, which is true healing. Sheryl writes “For years, the metaphysical community has predicted a tremendous shift in human consciousness, and it is happening now. More than ever, people are feeling the need to rediscover their life’s purpose, and the economic downturn in recent years has given many the freedom, opportunity, and necessity to change their lives and work. Energy healing—including Reiki, Healing Touch, Reflexology, Chiropractic Adjustments, Acupuncture, Massage and Body Work, Rolfing, Polarity, Trager, Chromotherapy, Radionics, Alexander, Bioenergetics, Feldenkrais, Deep Tissue Work, Osteopathic Manipulation, and other modalities—has become one of the fastest growing fields of complementary health care, and it is part of Sheryl’s healing mission to help healers develop their God-given gifts.”

Cyndi proposes that very specific subtle energies are the main causes of chronic illness and other intractable challenges. During a crisis, we’re hit with a type of subtle energy called “forces.” Any of the six vital forces—environmental, missing, modern, physical, psychological, and spiritual—can create problems during the crisis itself, but it’s the stress response set off by the forces that can eventually lead to chronic illness and other lingering hardships. As we continue to be afflicted by the original forces, those forces trigger mechanisms within us that surround the wounded self (the aspect of our psyche most afflicted by the traumatic event) in a bubble of shock. Unless this wounded self is freed from the shock bubble, it will continue to suffer in darkness, triggering new energetic responses that cause even more damage.

An example….Maureen was a sixty-year-old high school teacher suffering with constant fatigue, aches and pains, arrhythmia (an erratic heartbeat), lung infections, depression, anxiety, and uncontrollable moods. By the time she came to me, she’d already been to dozens of medical doctors. Their diagnoses included an autoimmune disorder, hormonal imbalances, and idiopathic pain, which basically means “pain we don’t know the cause of.” Her holistic practitioners had suggested she had Lyme disease, leaky gut syndrome, past-life challenges, mold infections, and more. The treatments she’d tried included a mild form of chemotherapy, cognitive therapy, vitamin supplements, and hypnosis. I could tell that lying deep inside Maureen were problematic energies that had never been addressed and cleared; in fact, there was an aspect of Maureen’s self that was locked away, trapped in these energies, unable to become free and healthy. It wasn’t hard to identify the events that put these energies in place: over a few months in her childhood, Maureen had undergone one catastrophe after another. A tornado had wiped out her family’s farm. Soon after, her father died from a heart attack. Her mother then developed a serious mold infection in her lungs and began losing control of her emotions, often yelling at the kids. Maureen was still experiencing the suffering she’d been through during that horrific period of her childhood because the energies associated with those events were still present and active, not just in her physical body, but also in her energy anatomy. Beyond that initial trauma there is the damage caused by secondary energies or secondary forces. These secondary energies or forces are created from within, during our system’s physical and energetic response to the initial trauma. If they aren’t addressed, they remain stuck in our body and our energy systems, continuing to cause more harm—harm that, over time, most often manifests as chronic illness or other ongoing challenges.

Because these secondary energies are self-generated and harm us from the inside, they must also be energetically healed from the inside. I’ll provide you with insights and techniques that will allow you to accomplish this deep inner metamorphosis. When I looked at Maureen’s conditions from an energetic point of view, I could see that her physical and subtle energy anatomy had been compromised and traumatized by forces that greatly mismatched her original energetic signature. Because no one had been available to help her grieve and recover from the traumatic childhood events, the aspects of her that had been traumatized and encased within a shock bubble had never been freed. Meanwhile, the original force and its energetic effects had been absorbed into both her body and energy systems, where they lingered, morphed, and began damaging her physical and subtle anatomies from the inside, eventually triggering a chronic illness. She needed help to heal both outside to inside and inside to outside.

In Cyndi’s bio it says she is a favored teacher and healer for China. She tells us about her interest and work in China and her view of our conflicts at the present with China. Your mind, body, soul, and spirit are all different aspects of your total self. These are basically Eastern Paradigms so health issues and all challenges are not just symptom based as in Western medicine. Cyndi defines your soul as the aspect of you that moves across time and lifetimes, gathering experiences. She believes that the soul can be supportive or unintentionally destructive in terms of your well-being and how you address the energies of challenge.

Your spirit differs from your soul. It is your spiritual essence, the aspect of you knowingly connected to what I call the Spirit. (You may call it by whatever name you use—God, the Divine, the Universe, Allah, the Goddess, your Higher Power, the All, or something else.) Your spirit gives you the most vital and accurate information about which energies are helpful and supportive for you and which are not. It embodies your original energetic signature. The idea of having (or being) a unique energetic signature isn’t only a metaphysical concept; it is also a scientifically valid truth. For instance, every human heart exhibits an exclusive biometric so individualized that wearable technology devices are now employing a person’s heartbeat as their password.

Covid figures into the concept of our inner and outer worlds and how it has affected so many people beyond the actual virus to incorporate an inner traumatic fear, connected to life and death itself. Sheryl says that after recovering from covid and knowing the disease through its many symptoms, she wasn’t’ quite sure why as an energy healer she had even needed to experience it. But of course, like everything in life, nothing is random, and Sheryl was to find out exactly why she needed to have it. Never believing the hype and horror that was being projected on television during the beginning of the plague, she knew like any virus it could be overcome. Months down the road she interviewed another energy worker who told her that at the beginning of the pandemic, this healer had been unable to work on anyone with covid as the energy was toxic to her throat and lungs and she wasn’t able to break through the toxic force field. After contracting the disease at the cellular level and when she recovered, her energy healing techniques could be used to break through the energy field of covid. Sheryl realized that she was able to send distant healing reiki to many hospitalized patients with covid after having conquered the disease within her own body.

People can “catch” the energy of an illness and get the symptoms- without “catching” the actual ailment or virus. Sheryl says that our energy system can absorb the energy of other people, places and even thought systems as every field and corresponding chakra also emanates energy into the world. The decisions about what energies to bring in and keep out are complicated, but they are basically established by past life, childhood, and cultural programming, as well as one’s original energetic signature. The auric fields outside of the physical body can absorb energies that don’t touch your skin. They can also attune to another’s thoughts, feelings, or even the memories of that person’s previous experiences. They can even absorb the subtle effects of a physical blow to a person standing near you or the subtle effects of children bursting into giggles. In general, the energy of whatever happens around or to you, can make its way to the auric field that matches the frequency of that event, and, depending on the programming of that field, bring those energies straight into its related chakra, as each chakra is related to different aspects of your physical life. as well as your body.

All challenges are energy challenges. Now, their feelings get stuck within you, lowering your immune system and creating more depression or anxiety. Whether or not your interaction with the virus involves more than the natural environmental transfer, secondary forces can create complications for healing.

We can pick up on others’ anxiety and thus become injured by an emotional force. We might become connected to dark entities that propel us into fright, and thus we’re bonded to this virus through a spiritual force. We might become scared because of the news media, and thus be afflicted with a modern, or digital, force. In the end, we might find some part of ourselves hovering as a wounded self within a shock bubble. Toward that end, to really deal with and recover from the virus, we must uncover this self, invite grieving, and provide protection.

Viruses are unique in that they are attached to some external form of energy. Suffice it to say that from an energetic point of view, it is necessary to release these attachments in order to disempower the virus.

One of the most imperative concepts to grasp is having an original energetic signature. This is your central governing code. We want our physical and subtle energies to match rather than conflict with this key code. How might this idea apply to the existence of, and fall-out from, the pandemic?

Consider the fact that there are many physical factors that determine who might be most affected by the virus or not. As said, these include age- and health-related functions. Smokers will most likely become sicker than non-smokers, and so on. What if one of the issues is our original energetic signature? If our signature is less viable and blurrier, if there are “gaps” or lots of spaces between our signature and our organic functions, we might be more vulnerable to the virus.

Cyndi might like readers of Energy Healing for Trauma Stress and Chronic Illness to take away with them after reading this book that when people with chronic illnesses and challenges come to me, they usually tell me similar stories. They’ve addressed their problems in a wide variety of ways, including various branches of allopathic medicine, psychotherapy, and complementary and alternative medicine practices, and maybe they’ve experienced a certain degree of healing or relief, but something is still missing. They may not know what it is, but something is keeping them from feeling the way they want to feel—the way they know, deep in their hearts, they could feel—whether that’s happy or comfortable, safe or loved, whole or free, something is keeping them from healing to their original energy signature. The piece they’re missing is energy—or, more specifically, subtle energy. In our work together, Cyndi introduces them to the unseen but very powerful energies that govern everything in our world, including us. Together, we look at the various parts of their subtle anatomy, including the invisible centers, fields, and pathways within and around our physical body, and how these parts have been or are being affected by subtle energies. I show them how, very often, the unaddressed energetic damage from traumatic stressors and our subtle anatomy’s response to them eventually manifests in the physical body as chronic illnesses, which include autoimmune disorders. It can manifest on the physical level as other chronic challenges, too, such as addictions, learning disabilities, behavioral concerns, or recurring psychological, emotional, or relationship patterns that don’t seem to shift no matter how they’re addressed. Together, my clients and I uncover the subtle energies of trauma, the energies involved in the stress response the trauma has triggered, and the energies underpinning their chronic illnesses and challenges. Then we work with their subtle anatomy and other, more helpful energies to move them toward the healing they seek.

We thank Cyndi Dale author of Energy Healing for Trauma Stress and Chronic Illness for sharing a lifetime of insights into the world of energy medicine and a clearer view of how to use this awareness to heal and harness the power of Universal Truths so people can shed fear and immerse themselves in a channel of oneness and unity to all life and to raising our vibration to a higher level of consciousness.

In summarizing today’s episode of “Healing From Within,” Cyndi Dale has shown with clarity how trauma experienced often in childhood may manifest down the road in illness dysfunction autoimmune disease, how we might whether the case of a new virus like covid, to create conditions that impact our level of happiness, joy, and well being, and feeling incomplete or alone. We have come to know that by healing our deep-seated challenges, we emerge as the burnished ember of goodness that we really are, ready to contribute our unique light into the world. We all have the strength to live with trauma and challenges that evolved from any trauma.

Cyndi and Sheryl believe that you’re ready to heal, and to engage life as the magnificent soul being you are complete with courage and hope to improve yourself and our world.

Cyndi wrote, “Before you embark on your own healing adventure, let me share a few additional insights that I’ve gleaned from my years of working with clients. First, the healing you’ll be doing will be deep, and deep healing frequently takes time. Your chronic illnesses and challenges didn’t develop overnight, and they usually don’t disappear overnight either. While I have seen people experience sudden and dramatic improvements as they work with subtle energy, other changes happen gradually. Sometimes you make what you regard as a great leap forward, and then nothing seems to happen for a time. Please trust that however your healing unfolds, it will do so on exactly the schedule that is ideal for you. Second, subtle energy healing is a piece usually missing from our overall healing efforts. It is not a replacement for other pieces, such as allopathic care or other forms of complementary care. The effects of trauma and our responses to it are multifaceted, and your approach to healing needs to be multifaceted too. Sometimes subtle energy healing can help conventional treatments work more effectively; sometimes conventional treatments are needed to set the stage for successful subtle energy work. Don’t deny yourself the benefits of medicine or medical advice or the support of well-trained therapists or practitioners. If you do, you’re just leaving out other important pieces of your healing. Finally, know that you’re not alone,”

Cyndi and Sheryl might hope you look at any perceived illness or challenge as an opportunity to learn more about who you really are as a spiritual being experiencing at the moment a physical life and then begin to remember that perhaps you created this supposed illness or trauma for your soul to rise above it to greater awareness love compassion for yourself and life. Don’t think in terms of good or bad. Think in terms of the eternal subtle nature of life itself and that thought alone may set you free.

Welcome to “Healing From Within.” I am your host Sheryl Glick RMT Medium and author of a trilogy with the newest book A New Life Awaits: Spirit Guided Insights to Support Global Awakening which shows us our challenges in these difficult times are not economic political or societal but a deep disconnect from our inner soul wisdom. We welcome Sagar Constantin a best -selling Scandinavian author whose new book The Life shares “The In Between” a temporary home for people who pass from their physical bodies before their time, and are allowed to decide whether to return to their lives on Earth, or move on to the next stage in their soul development. Some may have called this experience a Near-death experience, or the world between worlds their personal sanctuary.

As listeners of Healing From Within over the years have come to expect from listening to my amazing guest and authors who share stories and insights into the quality of life, both our spiritual and physical components as we come to realize the true nature of a human life journey is to gather experiences refining our energy and thoughts and realizing where we come from, who we are, and how to live life by merging our many energies and awarenesses .

In today’s episode of “Healing From Within” Sagar Constantin shares how the idea for The In Between Series came to her on the way home from a business trip in India. Sagar has a remarkable ability to make psychological issues easy to understand for personal growth while being highly entertained at the same time. We will glimpse a view of the Afterlife as well as explore the choices that are available to us both on earth and beyond.

When Sagar is asked to think back to her childhood and remember a person place or event that may have signaled to her, or those around her, the interests, values, and lifestyle she shows us in the following paragraph what she might pursue as an adult for it seems the soul has a life path, and it unfolds as we move forward in developing our lives. Sagar writes in this paragraph, and we can tell some of the influences of her childhood that guided her to write and share spiritual thoughts with his readers Sagar writes, “I am not the type who scares easily, but I must admit that some‐ times I can’t help thinking about how I would react if something suddenly happened, that is, something critical. Would I act heroically and be the one who takes over and calms the other passengers, or would I save my skin and hope for the best? My mother has always said that I was born under a lucky star. I think she’s right. It seems like things just come to me when I am in need. Not that I just lean back and wait passively; I am not the type who goes around searching for a lucky chance. Deep down, I believe that I will be alright, and everything will be one. That is, at least until I’m not meant to be here anymore.

Sagar shows us what the book and her search for a greater understanding of life is all about. This paragraph might show what the book is about…”While on an airplane there is strong turbulence and then….My gaze fixes on Thomas, who is now sitting next to me. He is wearing a long blue silk shirt with a simple gold thread that forms a pattern of cascading flowers from the shoulders downward. The upper part of the garment hangs loosely, revealing his muscular body. He looks like a prince from a fairytale, which makes me confident that this is a dream. Thomas places his hand on my shoulder and supports me as I sit up. The room changes: it is as if the walls are moving. Am I on drugs? Have I gone crazy? If this is a dream, I would like to wake up now and be on my way. I’ve got a plane to catch and a family waiting at home. “Welcome to In-Between,” Thomas speaks slowly and clearly, looking at me and smiling so I can see his beautiful white teeth. His eyes sparkle as he talks and become even more transparent. “In be—what did you say?” I mumble and let my eyes wander while I move my head in small jerks. “In-Between,” Thomas repeats calmly. He seems to be very understanding. “Come, I’ll show you around.”

“Hey, wait for me,” I call after Thomas. “I’m coming.” I feel almost like a small child trying to keep up with an adult who has much longer legs. With careful steps, I pass through the opening and enter a large room. My eyes widen, and a shiver runs down my back. It is so bright, light, and open, but there are still walls of some kind. I can’t feel my feet, and I squeeze my hands together tightly. My brain can’t make any sense of this place. I don’t know what it is that I’m seeing. Thomas stops walking and waits for me to approach. “The place we just came from is the reception area.” He turns toward me when I join him. His arms hang loosely along the sides of his body, and he projects serenity. “That is where everyone who comes here lands. I am one of those appointed to receive new people and ensure that you get settled comfortably. Over here is our center, and from here, you enter In-Between and can move about freely.

You are in between life and death,” Thomas speaks calmly. “In-Between is a place where people come if they have left Earth before their time, or if they are not ready to leave their lives there, but have been forced to, as in your case, because of an accident.” He pauses and takes my hand that is cold and sweaty. “You could say that people get an extra chance here to continue their lives or to take leave properly.” He looks right into my eyes, leaving me no other choice than to return his gaze. “We are a sort of reception and rest center,” he says with a subdued and unhurried voice. “We receive people and give them the opportunity to continue at a suitable pace. It is important that people depart from their lives on Earth in a proper manner. Both for their own sakes but also for the sake of their loved ones.” My eyebrows are wrinkled, and I pull back my long hair. I don’t believe in life after death! Slowly I exhale and raise my head. “I have a son named Luke. What about him? Does he know yet? He’s with his father.” Thomas shakes his head, stands up slowly, and pushes a chair toward me. “The images you see are in real-time. It’s been 45 minutes since the plane went down.

Sheryl says to Sagar that she was once a skeptic about spiritual life or an afterlife, until 29 years ago when she began to have dreams and mystical coincidental, synchronistic, happenings that she realized couldn’t be happening randomly. Years of study travel and dedication to meditation and talking to Spirit led to her writing a trilogy of books from her journaling, which she was told to do by a medium many years earlier, who also told her to take yoga so she could slow her fast- moving energy and mind and become aware of energy in all its aspects. My stories came to me in meditation dreams and visions guided by spirit.

When Sagar is asked if she has a motto quote or philosophy to live by she responds by saying, “ The motto might be what Thomas the guide in the In -Between says to Eva…..

Thomas speaks deliberately, and I must concentrate in order not to think about anything else. “In my experience, when people become sick or die, it happens for a reason. There is something we must learn. If we listen and learn and enter the experience, then we can develop.” His voice is smooth as silk. I turn my head, and our eyes meet. “You are here because it is uncertain whether you will leave your mortal life now or not. There may be more for you to learn on Earth.” Other than Thomas’s voice, the only sound is the whistling of the wind.

The book The Life is relevant now because people have got to learn to be in the present and not waste time by being in the past or worrying about the future. There are reasons why some people slow their own progress and Sagar wrote “I’m staring into the distance, still far from convinced of the existence of previous or future lives, but I’m saying nothing to Thomas. I force myself to concentrate. His words will drift by on the wind, devoid of meaning if I don’t. The concepts and experiences here are coming at me so quickly. I need time to take it all in. There is a sense of loving care and openness from Thomas, even from In-Between itself, but my brain is trying to hold onto what I know. But I find it harder and harder to hold on. Sometimes I must fight just to see an image of Luke in my thoughts. What is happening to me? A knot in my stomach tightens. The idea of losing myself, my real self, frightens me. I sigh and clench my teeth slightly. Thomas observes me without saying anything. His eyes are relaxed, and he is breathing evenly. I can’t help but wonder where he gets all that tranquility. Part of me fears that he will quickly tire of me and my uncertainties. “Let me put it like this.” He cocks his head slightly. “There can be many different reasons that people come to a standstill in their lives or never pursue their dreams, or whatever it is that they long for. It takes a lot of courage to dare to look inward. But we all have opportunities to develop, to learn something new, and to let our souls’ advance.” He pauses and looks out at the horizon where clouds build up and form a beautiful landscape in many different shades of red. “There are some who choose to take what we call a ‘resting’ incarnation; that is, they don’t have major goals for themselves. Others give themselves almost inhuman challenges.”

When Sagar is asked if you can read any of the books, or should the reader begin with the first book? Sheryl says she feels whatever book the reader is drawn to is the one to start with. Sheryl has found that when she picks up a book if she just turns to any random page there will be a message or thoughts that are appropriate for her at that moment in time and an insight that could be meaningful and offer guidance in whatever issues she is dealing with…It seems our guides, angels, higher vibrational beings, the Divine are close by and helping us navigate challenges to move us forward. In her trilogy Sheryl’s first book Life Is No Coincidence: The Life and Afterlife Connection is about her awakening to Universal truths. Her second book A New Life Awaits Answers for Healing and Infinite Love is about developing and utilizing her Reiki hands on healing and mediumship abilities to download information from Spirit or transforming much of her old thinking to new realizations about energy and life here and beyond. The third book A New Life Awaits: Spirit Guided Insights to Support Global Awakening is about transcending life’s challenges to refine and create your best life here each day and then, beyond this physical life.

Sagar might want readers to take away with them after reading her books is that each soul and the life they create even before they are born, is unique and arranged so the soul can refine their energy and adapt to all situations for further growth and development. Your life will offer many challenges and opportunities, and it is how you approach and move through these experiences that allow you to either maintain, balance, find harmony, love compassion or choose suffering and remain stuck in negative energies.

Sagar writes, “There are some who choose to take what we call a ‘resting’ incarnation; that is, they don’t have major goals for themselves. Others give themselves almost inhuman challenges.” A resting incarnation is certainly not of the sun trying unremittingly to break through, and the clear blue sky as a background. Why can’t I just relax and enjoy it? “Are you telling me that everything is predetermined?” I shake my head, grimacing. “No, but the opportunities are there. It’s up to you to take advantage of them.” “Yes, that’s easy for you to say.” My words come out more harshly than I intended, but I’m not offering an apology. Thomas seems unaffected by my sharp tone of voice. “Let me put it like this. You may find that your life goes in circles. You face the same challenges repeatedly, as if you are a needle stuck in a groove on a vinyl record and the record just keeps spinning round and round. You attract the same types of people, and the same sorts of things keep happening to you.” The simplicity of the image seems to make sense to me. I manage to speak evenly and without an edge to my voice. “Hmm. Let’s say that you’re right. How can you get out of the groove?” I stretch my legs and cross my arms over my chest. When Thomas looks at me, I quickly let my arms fall along my sides. “First, you must be aware that you are stuck in the groove. Then you need to be ready to let go of what you already know, whatever thoughts and behavior are long-established and secure in your life.” He speaks evenly in a low voice. “…Only then is it possible for you to get out of the groove. You can do that in many ways. It isn’t until you achieve a deeper understanding within that the changes will manifest outwardly, such as moving to a new home, finding a new job, or meeting a new friend or a lover. Changes can appear in many forms. What is characteristic is that before changes take place, you must learn something and begin a new way of living.”

We thank Sagar Constantin for sharing her views on Life in all its intimate and unusual ways for us to know ourselves more completely, and to find peace through knowledge, compassion, love, and intention.

In summarizing today’s episode of “Healing From Within” Sagar Constantin has shared a fictional story of her characters finding the heart and soul of the matter by realizing who we are and what life is all about. Sagar writes about a woman who is in the In-Between between life and death for a review of her life and to decide or choose whether to move on to life after death or return to her physical life. She has just been in a plane crash and is in a coma. Sagar writes “Take you, for example.” He pauses. “You have a choice every single moment. You can choose to focus on the fact that you are not with Luke, your son, or that you would like to return, or that your body is sore. You can also choose to be thankful that you were on board that airplane, that you are here now, and that you can get to know yourself even better.” I sit with a stone face, not offering Thomas my spirit guide helping me navigate the In-Between any reaction. What he is saying is very logical and quite simple. But I can’t see why I should be thankful I was on that plane. I would rather go home. And my body is sore; that is a fact. A small cloud passes over us, and for a second, we are completely invisible. It is cool, and I must wave away the mist with my hand to see Thomas. He is sitting there passively. “Every single moment of our lives, we have a choice. We can choose to focus on the negative or the positive. To a great extent, it depends on our attitude toward life. We can choose to enter each experience with the intent that something exciting can happen and that something can benefit us. Alternatively, we can expect that it is going to be a bore, that we are wasting time, or we can feel us.

Sagar and I would have you know that life’s challenges will come and go and if we think of them as neither good nor bad, we will navigate the waters of time and space more advantageously, than if we judge, or allow negative thoughts to flood our minds and hearts. The world and life are a gift for all souls to begin to understand the nature of creation, eternal energy and life that never ends.

I am your host Sheryl Glick RMT Reiki Master Energy Teacher, medium and author of a trilogy, the newest edition A New Life Awaits which shares stories and messages from Spirit that show us our challenges are not economic political or societal, but often a deep disconnect from our inner soul wisdom.
