On this week's episode we have Krista Williams as our guest, co-founder of the global brand “Almost 30”.
Krista always wanted to find purpose in life and she credits that to her spiritual awakening. Before that, she dreaded waking up in the morning because, as she says, “I felt like I was living a life that wasn’t mine”.
She decided to stop drinking, started meditating and “following these nuggets of these little signs from the universe”. During this time, with her friend and co-founder, Lindsay Simcik, they decided to start their podcast because it was aligned with what they wanted for their lives.
This life changing decision also took her through a path of healing the mother wound which she feels “is some of the most profound work that people can do”. She tells us that she has worked on her wound by herself, deciding not to involve her mother in the process, because healing trauma is something we can work on solo. And, oftentimes, it’s better if we do.
The relationship we have with our own mind is the most important one we have, so calming our mental chatter is something we have to work on by ourselves.
“Wherever you go, there you are”
