Highlight Proverbs 3:1-12 New Living Translation
Explain – There are several good points in Proverbs Chapter 3:
· Remember the thing of the Lord that have been taught to live a satisfying life
· Write loyalty and kindness deep in your heart to find favor with God and people
· Trust in the Lord will all of your heart, don’t depend on your own understanding, seek Him in all things and He will show you the correct path
· Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom, respect the Lord and turn away from evil to receive good health.
· Honor the Lord with your wealth, the best part of everything produced to receive abundance.
· Don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, a good father corrects His child.
Apply – These all apply to today, to each of us:
· We should study the Word to show ourselves approved, remember what we have learned, and apply these truths in our daily lives to live a satisfying life.
· We should be loyal to God, family, and friends showing the kindness that the Holy Spirit puts deep in our hearts to find favor with God and people.
· We must trust in the Lord will all of our heart. We must not rely on our own understanding. We must seek Him in all things, what we think, say, and do so that we can follow the Holy Spirit as He shows us the correct path.
· We must be humble, not relying with our own wisdom. We must respect the Lord and turn away from evil to receive and maintain good health of mind, soul, and body.
· We must honor the Lord with our funds, seeking His will in all we do to include the giving that He would have us do. He will bless by providing opportunities and resources that we need for the calling that He has placed on us.
· Don’t reject the Lord’s discipline, a good father corrects His child. A good sports coach is always correcting and successful athletes listen and apply correction to the best of their ability. We must do the same in our live with the Lord who only wants the best for us.
Respond - Lord thank You for these precious words of wisdom. I strive to seek You consistently and continuously. I know You will grant me wisdom, knowledge, understanding and instruction for a better life as I walk with honesty, integrity as You prepare and shield my path. I know that I must faithfully and obediently follow You.
