Hodinkee Radio returns for the second installment of The Collector's Edition With Ben Clymer. Follow along with Hodinkee's founder as he speaks with notable friends and watch enthusiasts about what it means to be a collector. As you may recall, we launched the series last year with pop star Ed Sheeran. In this episode, we are thrilled to sit down with comedian, actor, producer, and serial entrepreneur Kevin Hart. 

If it seems like Hart is everywhere all the time, that's because he is – from the current "Reality Check" stand-up tour and the big screen in hits like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and The Secret Life of Pets to television ads for the likes of DraftKings and JPMorgan Chase. On top of that, he also runs a media company called HartBeat Productions. And on top of that – and what brings us here today – he's also a legit watch enthusiast.

We caught up with Kevin at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, right before he was about to hit the stage for back-to-back "Reality Check" shows. We learned that his love of watches dates to the early days of his career and that over the years Submariners, Daytonas, Pateks, and Richard Milles adorned his wrist. Today, his collecting has evolved to the point where he has a partnership with Audemars Piguet. As a "friend of the brand," Kevin has access to some very special pieces, including the ceramic chronograph he famously leaked to the world and the piece he'll be wearing in the upcoming Netflix movie Lift.

This week, I've rounded up Jack and Mark Kauzlarich for an in-depth chat about the new Tudor Ranger. Mark covered the launch of this latest sports model from Tudor for HODINKEE, Jack remains an owner of the preceding 79910 Ranger, and I also got a chance to see and photograph the new model on the day it was released, so all we had to do was plug in some microphones.

Lately, it seems that the offered length of power reserves has become a hot-button topic in watch-related discourse – but what do you need all those hours for? Are ~38 hours really not enough, especially in a casual or everyday sports watch? I never give total power reserve that much of a concern when it comes to divers and the like, but it's clear that the spec is of growing interest among watch enthusiasts.

I asked Jack and Danny to plug in their mics and help me talk over this novel need for more and more hours. And from early 8-day Cartiers to Hublots that boast 50 days of power reserve (and require a drill to winding) we dig into the need for a longer power reserve, some of the bigger PRs in watchmaking history, and some of our favorite power reserve indications.
