In this episode, our beloved H*E*A*L* Advanced Program student (and practitioner in training) who created instructional video is currently healing from mold, chronic fatigue syndrome, parasites, MCAS and lots more. She’s come so far already (from only tolerating 3 foods to now tolerating 12+ foods!) and is on her way to a full recovery. Castor oil packs are one of her favorite tools for liver/gallbladder and bowel support.
What You'll Need:
🧴 An organic cotton flannel castor oil pack with straps for easy application.
🍾 Cold-pressed organic hexane-free castor oil (ensure it's in an amber bottle to prevent rancidity).
👕 A large t-shirt that you don't mind getting stained.
🔥 A heat pack.
🧤 A disposable glove for a mess-free application.
Instructions:
✋ Begin by putting on the glove and pouring 1 tablespoon of castor oil into your hand or directly onto the pack. You can start with as little as 1 tsp and gradually work up to 2-3 tablespoons.
🫱 Apply the oil directly to the liver/gallbladder area or across the entire stomach. For added benefit, massage the gallbladder area, ensuring the last 10 strokes are downward to follow the direction of bile flow.
🧺 Place the organic cotton flannel over the abdomen and tighten the straps securely.
🔥 Apply the heat pack over the flannel for enhanced effectiveness. If you're sensitive, start with just 1 tsp of oil without the heat.
⏱️ Leave the pack on for 20 minutes to 1-2 hours, or even overnight if you prefer. Remember to start slowly and listen to your body.
Additional Notes:
🚫 Do not wash the castor oil pack. Dispose of it after 2 months or when it feels saturated. If you choose the Queen of Thrones option, it may last longer.
👃 Ensure your castor oil is not rancid. You can tell if it's rancid by the smell and if it's not clear.
