Homo Superior Podcast

The boys are off this week!

The boys continue AAPI Heritage Month by discussing some of their favorite creators; INJUSTICE IS GETTING ITS OWN ANIMATED MOVIE, Y'ALL (Adam wrote this); More DC and Adult Swim animated news; New comic lines for upcoming MCU characters; Clarke takes us on a dark journey of vampires and ham sandwiches; Latest issues of Wolverine, Way of X, and Black Knight; and a trip to the Trailer Park for Sweet Tooth. Some might say almost TOO sweet.

In this issue of Class-X, the boys, and special guest Chandler Poling of X-Reads Podcast(Twitter: @xreadspodcast) go over the history of the powerful, the mature, the precog, and sometimes ponzi-scheming Destiny! We follow her journey from plot device, to tactical combat expert, to refrigerated lover, to confused ghost, all the way to up to her BAMFing return-ish in Hickman's current run. What does she have in store? We don't know, but we'll catch you up, at least.

If you'd like to brush on your history for more exploration of her character throughout the Marvel timeline check out:

The boys celebrate AAPI Heritage Month by discussion some of their favorite comic and movie characters; X-Corp got it's first issue, X-Factor, its second to last, CotA #3, and GotG #14; Marvel announced its new queer character; Adult Swim is releasing a bunch of movies; Masters of the Universe seems kind of weird; and Venom: Let Their Be Carnage looks... interesting. The boys imagine what it would be like to run an X-business.

The boys are joined by cartoon super fan, returning guest, and New Dad Supreme, Sean Paul Ellis (Twitter: @MourningToons) to talk about the first season of Invincible. We gush over Debbie, worry about Mark, and are still cleaning the bloody viscera and emotional trauma off. Enjoy!

The boys painstakingly take apart the new Marvel Phase 4 Sizzle reel, review Hellions #11, Maurauders #20, and X-Men: Curse of the Man-Thing. Plus, we discuss the latest updates on DC's Superman project, visit the Trailer Park for Castlevania's final season, and hate celebrities at fictional comic galas unless they're playing obscure super-powered versions of themselves (except for Megan Rapinoe - we love you Megan!).

In this issue of Class-X, the boys go over the history of Hellions' staple and all-around jerk, Empath! What are his powers? Why is he like this? Why is Clarke still attracted to him? If you'd like to brush on your history for more exploration of his character in the ongoing Hellions series check out:

You're going to love Empath. He demands it.

The boys dish on all of the unbelievable new mutant fashion about to hit the Hellfire Gala runway; they also review Cable #10, New mutants #17, X-Men Legends #3, Beta Ray Bill #2, and Black Knight #2; and there's Oscar news, Invincible renewed, Ironheart has a head writer, Marvel Voices: Pride, and DC horror comics. Ru would be proud.

The boys are joined by Supernatural fan and all around geek, Megan Rattliff (IG @pertinentfish7 and buy her antique finds @a.m.findvintage) to talk about the first season of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. They love characters with redemption arcs for... different reasons.

The boys celebrate the podcast's 4th birthday by giving each other gifts in a Secret Santa and giving the listeners a cochlear hemorrhage! They also talk about The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (S1E5); the first issue of Way of X, X-Force #18, and SWORD #5; Clarke has sumpin' big; there's talk of Secret Invasion, Annihilation, procrastination, Disney contracts, Sony release (sing to the tune of "We Didn't Start the Fire"); and Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings (2021 Film) and MODOK (2021 TV series) get their first trailers. If you don't love HS by this episode, you're definitely one of our fans.
