Homo Superior Podcast

The boys try a new format to discuss non-comic book-y non-nerd stuff like the show Years and Years. Things are mostly spoiler free, but it helps if you've actually seen the whole show (which you should anyway) before you watch.

The boys talk about the second issue of House of X and are blown away; they get into some Crisis on Infinite Earths and Gemma Chan news; Disney + is one step closer to taking over; Legion (S3E7) exists; and there's the issues: Absolute Carnage #1, DCeased #4, and Baby Teeth #15. Brent is confused by the name Gemma, Legion has more ups and downs, and Marvel's comics might all be good right now.

The boys celebrate their 100th episode! They also talk about the star of Powers of Ten, Legion (S3E6), and the issues: Death Head #1 and Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman #9. They still don't have any advertisers and their most popular episodes are for movie trailers from 2 years ago.

It's all big news from San Diego Comic Con 2019 so the boys are here to cover it. Brent tries to talk about how vampires are weird and no one seems to agree.

The boys do a deep dive of the first issue of Hickman's House of X; there's talk of the new teams announced at SDCC; there are reflections on the Age of X-man; Legion (S3E5) happened; and they talk about the issues: History of the Marvel Universe #1 and Guardians of the Galaxy #7. There's lots over excitement and costume discussion as well as lamentation about the way Age of X-Man ended and Legion is continuing.

The boys get excited about a new 007; there's a bunch of news; Legion (S3E3); and the issues: X-force #10, Uncanny X-men #22, Silver Surfer Black #2, and the HoX and PoX preview. There are lots of tangents and Khelan and Adam are gone so it's listenable.

The boys mention their equipment upgrade (for easier listening!); Fantastic Four may get the Grand Design treatment; HBO Max is going to include so much biz; Legion (S3E3) is something; and the comic issues: Giant Size X-Statix #1, War of Realms Omega #1, Thor #15, and Venom #16. They try to figure out if red is a good look for storm troopers, if this season of Legion might be slipping into a dark place, and who *won't* be in the Eternals movie.

The boys get twisted trying to navigate their way through the deeply complex world of Dark (S2). There's talk about new characters, new plotlines, and whether the show has a sense of morality so if you don't listen now, you will have listened to it before but later.

It's time for the boys to review the newest addition to the MCU: Spiderman: Far From Home (2019 Film). There's a lot of debate about the best and worst parts, but as far as a response to Endgame and a potential path forward, it holds its own.

The boys celebrate the 4th of July by trying to talk about their favorite moments of patriotism in comics; there's some comic, TV, and movie surprises; Legion (S3E2) chat; and the comic issues: Uncanny X-Men #21 and DCeased #3. It's the biggest mic upgrade that they've had but they completely forgot to mention it.
