Homo Superior Podcast

The boys recap Ed Piskor's review of X-Men history in Grand Design #4; there's lots of news talk; Legion (S3E1); and the comic book issues: War of Realms #16, War of Realms: Uncanny X-Men #3, Thor #14, Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #8, and Mr. & Mrs. X #12. They also *try* to memorialize the cancellation of Vertigo comics.

The boys soldier on without Ryan and Adam to cover this week's news and comics: Guardians of the Galaxy #6 and Uncanny #20. Swamp Thing is dead, dead, dead; there's lots of good volume control; and Superboy and Aqualad fall under the male gaze.

The boys lament Amazon's adaptation of the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett novel, Good Omens. Though the show might not be heaven sent, you'll have a damned good time listening to us talk about it ugh I hate myself for writing that.

The boys celebrate Pride Month by talking about which character they would make LGBT and look at porn; Clarke's Corner gets into Chelsea Cain drama; there's a News Flash and they review the trailers for new E3 games; and talk about the issues: Marvelous X-men #5, Apocalypse and the X-tracts #4, Prisoner X # 4, X-men- Uncanny X-men #19, X-force #9, War of Realms # 4, Guardians of the Galaxy Annual #1, Friendly Neighborhood Spiderman #7, and DCeased #2. They, like humanity, hate James Cameron.

They boys are totally DPed on this one: it's a review of the new 2019 X-Men film, Dark Phoenix. There's lots of concern about the villains, themes, plot, and character development but they find things to like and it turns out, it's trains! Joe Biden would rate this movie 10/10.

The boys debate logo quality based off the new Hickman run; there's some Tom King talk; Dark Crystal (S1) has a trailer; a new Avengers game is coming out; Doom Patrol (S1E15) reached its finale; and the issues: Thor #13, X-tremists #4, and Grand Design X-tinction #1. The flow of time is non-linear, Brent has a surprise, and goddamn if the boys aren't rowdy today.

It's a very Homo Superior 2nd Birthday!!! They open last year's time capsule; do the news raw; and cover Doom Patrol (S1E14) and the issues: Amazing Nightcrawler #4, Mr. and Mrs. X #11, War of the Realms: X-Men #2, and X-Force #8. The boys avoid lots of trailers, Danny DeVito should be Wolverine, and Brent has a weird problem with Lin Manuel Miranda's face.

The boys have heard Game of Thrones' swan's song and they critique it. They offer tasteful pointers, spread the Sansa love, and forget to talk about how Brienne closed a book with wet ink.

The boys welcome back Brent from his honeymoon and they talk about seeing Endgame in theaters, the Hickman restart of the X-Men Universe, a bunch of comics get starts and shows get ended, Doom Patrol (S1E13), and the issues: Nextgen #4, Marvelous X-Men #4, Uncanny X-Men #18, GotG #5, and War of the Realms #4. Khelan makes some hardcore bets about the future of the X-Men, Lyme disease is mentioned, and there maaaaay be a Game of Thrones mention once or twice.

The big three (Ryan, Khelan, and Clarke) get into Disney's takeover of the next decade, delve into Spider-Man: Far from Home's teaser, and also BUTTS!
