Homo Superior Podcast

There's a lot here when it comes to Brie Larson and the feminist approach to heroism and the MCU. Also we love Brie Larson and she's amazing and I'll kill you if you don't like her.

The boys have a news flash and then talk about the first new gay Marvel lead, Pokémon Sword and Shield, Deadly Class, Doom Patrol, and the comic issues: Prisoner X #1 and Uncanny #13. They try their best. It's not good.

It's courtroom drama as the boys try to litigate whether the season 1 adaptation of Umbrella Academy on Netflix is any good. High stakes, southern accents, and self-reflection are a part of it all on the Homo Superior People's Court Hall of Justice!

The boys have a little Oscar's corner; there's a new Disney villain series planned; the new X-Men: Dark Phoenix trailer came out; they get through a News Flash, Doom Patrol (S1E2), Deadly Class (S1E7), and Gifted (S2E16); and the issues: Age of X-Man: X-Tremists #1 and X-Force #3. They debate the value of a host, try to have a meaningful argument about Ian McKellan, and Ryan really let's everyone know that he's back!

The boys try to figure out how to stop terrible reviewers; go through some world creation a la DCeased, Loki, and Star Wars; there's a News Flash; and they review tv: Doom Patrol (S1E1), Deadly Class (S1E6), and Gifted (S2E15) as well as the comics: Uncanny #12, Nightcrawler #1, Guardians #2, Venom #11, and Friendly-Neighborhood Spider-Man #3. No jokes here. It's alllll business.

They boys review the next sequel in the Lego film advertising universe: The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. It's pluses and minuses from the group but we learn that Adam's version of recapping is only using Wikipedia.

The boys have a little Valentine's Day fun with Marry, F***, Kill and the Type Game; there's a News Flash; they talk about Deadly Class (S1E3-5); and they effuse about the continuing Age of X-Man and Nextgen #1, Mr. and Mrs. X #8, and Shatterstar #5. They learn a little about what they're into, Brent doesn't pay attention enough, and there's lots of story idea pitching.

The boys talk about their favorite black characters/creators in TV, movies, and comics; they breakdown Zack Snyder's plan for the Justice League trilogy; recap a bunch of news; and gush about the new issues of Age of X-Man: The Marvelous X-Men #1 and Uncanny X-Men #11. There's some breaking news, a News Flash, and a fast food Twitter fight.

The boys get in a tizzy about the new Age of X-Man: Annual #1 and X-Force #2; they play the worst version of Would You Rather; they talk about the 80 or so Batman projects; and have a nice talk about Deadly Class S1E2. There are some little Adam impressions and lots of She-ra love.

The boys get that Oscar buzz; talk about the allegations against Bryan Singer; recap the trailers for Happy! S2 (sort of), Umbrella Academy S1, and The Boys S1; there's some chat news, Gifted S2, and Deadly Class S1E1; and, of course, the excellent comics this week: Uncanny Annual: Cyclops #1, GotG #1, and Spider-Man #2. Brent and Clarke are bad a spoiler-free reviews, Adam makes a game into a movie into a TV show into a game, and Ryan spits up a little.
