There's nothing like having children to awaken the feminist inside a woman. If you haven't come up against gender inequality before, chances are you'll feel it. From pregnancy discrimination, unequal domestic burdens at home and a truncated career, having a family can highlight how far we still have to go. When lockdowns first came into place in 2020 many feminist writers thought this would be the great leveller. Now male partners everywhere would see just how much domestic labour their female counterparts took on. Unfortunately it was not the case.
