In this episode of Estheticians in Business, Allyson brings back an updated version of one of her very first podcast topics: how to get clients as an esthetician.

Getting clients is not magic, luck, or some secret algorithm. It comes down to visibility, trust, conversations, and consistency.

If you’re a solo esthetician struggling to get booked, this episode breaks down the three biggest reasons clients may not be coming in and what to do instead.

Allyson talks about why most estheticians don’t actually have a “client problem.” Usually, people either don’t know you exist, don’t understand what you do, or don’t trust you yet.

She breaks down the three things you need to get clients: visibility, a clear offer, and conversion.

You’ll learn why relying on one marketing platform is leaving money on the table, why “customized facials” may not be clear enough, how to talk about who you help, and why you have to actually ask people to book.

Allyson also explains the difference between traditional and non-traditional marketing, including referrals, networking, vendor events, Facebook groups, Instagram, email marketing, text marketing, Google Business Profile, and short-form video.

The biggest takeaway: people cannot book with you if they don’t know you exist.

Post consistently. Show up in your stories. Ask current clients for referrals. Follow up with old leads. Start conversations. Get involved in your local community. Look for vendor events, business partnerships, and places where your ideal clients already are.

Don’t wait for your content, website, menu, or branding to be perfect before you start getting visible.

Getting clients is not about doing one thing perfectly. It’s about doing the right things long enough for people to notice you, trust you, and choose you.

Business is not magical. It’s mathematical.

The more visibility, conversations, follow-up, and trust you create, the more opportunities you create for bookings.
