Just like guilt and shame can often be used interchangeably we see fear and anxiety treated this way as well. The major difference is that fear is an intense biological response to actual/immediate danger while anxiety is having a fear response to something that may occur in the future or it could be said - it’s a reaction to our emotions not our environment. Today we are discussing anxiety. I’ve organized this episode into three major parts that I’m hoping will make sense together but if they don’t - I’m hoping we can roll with that anyway. Part one - the anxiety triad in the enneagram and how it shows up for each of those types, anxiety for each enneagram type and it’s relationship to social roles and finally how to respond to the anxiety of others. On Thursday we will hold an entire episode just on managing our own anxiety so don’t you worry!
