Earlier this morning, the verdict was announced in the trial of Hunter Biden and he was pronounced guilty of all 3 counts leveled against him, which marks the first time a child of a sitting president has been found guilty of a crime in American history. No matter your political ideology, this is a hard day, especially for the Biden family and we need to have compassion towards them. The justice system will serve justice but that should not prevent us from having empathy towards how addiction can affect a family. In the messiness of families, the public eye can amplify the chaos but also strengthen the familial bonds - and messy families are the secret sauce to how America has gotten to where it is today.
