Hysteria 51

In 1936 a UFO allegedly crashed in the Black Forest near Frieberg, Germany where Hitler's SS quickly recovered it for research. Could it be that THAT craft and the technology garnered from it ALMOST turned the tide of the war and gave Hitler access to uncanny COSMIC POWER?!?!!? Eh, probably not - but it's still worth an episode. This week we wrap ourselves in Old Glory and go alien/Nazi hunting as we revisit The Black Forest UFO Incident of 1936. Plus, John points out there are Black Forest gummy bears (strange), C-Bot points out there are Black Forest ghosts (that tracks), and the fellas discuss the #snydercut (NERDS). All of that and more on the podcast that's never been to the Black Forest but certainly enjoys its ham - Hysteria 51. Special thanks to this week’s research sources:

This week we're diving into the briny deeps to fish out some delicacies…specifically octopus and squid! And while it may be true that we'll eventually learn octopi are super-intelligent beings from another world, in the meantime they're just delicious. So, grab your favorite invertebrate, fire up the grill, wok, or fryer and chow down on cephalopods this week on CAFEteria 51.

Well, we finally did it. We finally sold out. Specifically, we finally had a Patreon member silly enough to pay for the level that lets them join the show and pick the topic. That listener? Cebastian Tekin. The topic? Sleep paralysis. Hit play to see what’s inside (Cebastian, the Patreon included you joining...not a clever description). Plus, C-Bot unveils his next Uncle Conspiracy Bot’s Fun Time Toy (oh boy). Somehow he involves Darius Rucker (whoa boy). And we all agree Wagon Wheel is a good song. All of that and more on the podcast that’s never suffered through sleep paralysis…we enjoyed it - Hysteria 51.

Tons of kids have an imaginary friend. It's the same old song and dance. "Mom! Dad! My imaginary friend wants to push me on the swing! My imaginary friend is an old man in a black suit. My imaginary friend lost his hand to a cotton gin accident." You know...routine stuff. Anyway that's the beginning of this weeks haunting...and that's definitely only the beginning. From visits with dead neighbors, to scratches from demons, to hell-mouths opening in the living room - this story has it all. We grab our gear and go in search of the Wyrick family haunting this week. Plus, Conspiracy Bot has some new subroutines (he's still a jerk), Kyle continues his baffling competence (it's only a matter of time), and John goes on a rant about Eli Whitney (because nothing's funnier than 18th century farm humor). All of that and more on the podcast that never had an imaginary friend, just imaginary acquaintances - Hysteria 51.

Toynbee Ideas in Kubrick's 2001 Resurrect Dead on Planet Jupiter. No, that's not some strange Fortean Mad Libs, it's a message that, in various iterations, has been found across the world for over 30 years. Etched into streets, these "Toynbee Tiles" remain a mystery to investigators to this day. Who put them there? Are they all the product of the same person or group? What's their intention? Does the hateful ideology found on a few of them apply to all of them? As usual we ask tough questions this week (and as usual we have a hard time answering them ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ). Plus, Conspiracy Bot has a new product line (frightening). The new product line is geared to children (more frightening). And he's now calling people "daddy-o" (probably the most frightening). All of that and more on the podcast that wasn’t familiar with Toynbee Tiles, but WAS very familiar with KayBee Toys - Hysteria 51.

The cafeteria has reopened and we're kicking off the new season with a bang...or a cluck. This week we scratch our way through CHICKEN FEET! How are they prepared? Are they tough? Do you eat the nails? We ask the tough questions (and chew through some tough cartilage) as we try the least appetizing part of dim sum this week on Cafeteria 51.

You probably think the Apollo missions to the moon ended with Apollo 17. Wake up sheeple! Rumor has it we went back for at least 3 more Apollo missions. Why? Discovery of an alien spacecraft on the dark side of the moon, that's why! And yes, it was bigger than a Walmart. This week we dive into the controversial Apollo missions that *didn't happen and what they might have found (hint: abandoned cities and naked aliens...like Detroit in the 80s). Plus Kyle causes some turmoil at the Hand household, C-Bot encourages it, and the fellas discuss the most recent UFO sighting by an American Airlines pilot (hint: it wasn't a United engine). All of that and more on the podcast that’s believes ALL of the Apollo missions actually happened – Apollo CREED that is - Hysteria 51.

It's hard to imagine the emotions that must be associated with the disappearance of a child. The intersection of loss, hope, and utter anxiety must be crushing. Now imagine you’re in that situation and one day, SOMEHOW, you get good news that the child has been found, safe. Continuing this thought experiment, what would relief be replaced with when they bring you the kid...and it isn’t yours. The kid resembles your child, the police swear it’s your child, but you’re a parent...you know. This is the exact thing that happened to Christine Collins in California in 1928. But WAS it actually her son, Walter? If not, who was this imposter? Was Christine simply losing her mind? And how are the Wineville murders and Canada involved? We put on our fedoras and investigate the mysterious disappearance of Walter Collins this week. Plus, Kyle gets an overhaul (for the better), he requests baked goods containing coagulated milk proteins (same song, different tune), and the fellas discuss the best Angelina Jolie flicks (Hackers obviously). All of that and more on the podcast that’s never had a family member abducted, but if we did, we sure hope Angelina Jolie would star in the movie - Hysteria 51.Special thanks to this week’s research sources: BooksThe Road Out of Hell: Sanford Clark and the True Story of the Wineville Murders | Anthony Flacco and Jerry Clark VideosChangeling - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0824747/The Puzzling Disappearance Of Walter Collins - https://youtu.be/ZMu7_Xpp1SMThe Road Out Of Hell: Sanford Clark and the True Story of the Wineville Murders - https://youtu.be/5EiOrpgXZNEWebsitesChristine Collins Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christine_CollinsWineville Chicken Coop Murders - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wineville_Chicken_Coop_murdersThe Disappearance of Walter Collins  - https://stmuhistorymedia.org/the-disappearance-of-walter-collins-a-mothers-undying-hope-the-wineville-chicken-coop-case/All That’s Interesting - https://allthatsinteresting.com/christine-collinsChangeling Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Changeling_(film)L.A.
