In this episode, I finally sit down with both of my Nigerian parents together for the first time, and we get into all of it.

My mom's reaction to finding out I was getting high as a kid. The love story between my parents that involved a 9-year separation, exchanged letters, and governors asking for her hand in marriage. What growing up in poverty in Nigeria taught them about adulthood — and why my 30 looks nothing like theirs did. How parenting in America forced them to make sacrifices they didn't see coming. And the question every African parent eventually circles back to... you already know.
