Hey there dear listener.
Well, Mama is back and this time she’s breaking down a new romance on Netflix called The Lost Husband.
To say she spoils the movie is an understatement. If I had let her talk for an hour, she would have dissected the entire synopsis scene-by-scene. Needless to say, several major storylines will be revealed in this episode, so if you don’t want to know why the husband is lost, then you should wait to listen until you’ve watched the movie on your own.
Otherwise, prepare to be entertained by my mother singing its praises.
And by “IT” I mean the lead actor Josh Duhamel. Let’s just say Mama has a major crush on this major hottie. And like any good daughter, I told her to get in line because if anyone is going to fake date the guy who is neither lost, nor a husband, it’s going to be me.

Hello everyone!
With the pandemic sticking around presumably for the remainder of 2020, I decided that it was time to do an entire episode featuring masks. Whether you choose to wear one or forgo the option is not the foundation of my conversation with Lara.
No. Instead we discuss in great detail who does it well and who missed the mark entirely. For example, Darth Vader? He’s doing it well. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Not so much.
But I have to say my favorite part is when I ask Lara to rank all the actors who have played Batman since Michael Keaton. We spend way too much time analyzing jawlines, smolders, and lips.
We do this so you don’t have to. It’s a service we are happy to provide.
EPISODE NOTES:
Buster Posey does it well, according to Lara.
Here’s the infamous Spiderman kiss we all know and sort of love.

Hello everyone!
Oddly enough, I never thought that “I WANT MY BINGE TV” would be a series on the IHGB podcast, but here we are. Back when Todd and I recorded episode 169 in May, we figured our quarterly movie review episode would commence in the fall.
Todd and Lincee of the early pandemic were so cute. They taught this thing would be wrapping up by Memorial Day. I just want to pat their heads and bless their hearts.
As 2020 continues to be a hot mess when it comes to the outside world, we decided to head back to Netflix, HULU, Apple TV, and old DVD box sets from the ’90s in order to bring you some form of entertainment.
Now, if someone can mail me a DVD player, I’d appreciate it.
EPISODE NOTES:
Todd’s Picks:
Chef’s Line (Netflix)
Somebody Feed Phil (Netflix)
Unorthodox (Netflix)
100 Humans (Netflix)
Life in Pieces (Amazon)
Lincee’s Picks:
Hamilton (Disney+)
Baby Ballroom (Netflix)
Dumplin‘ (Netflix)
Felicity (Apple TV or DVD box set)

Hello everyone!
Okay, here’s the thing. When I was on hiatus for two months, a few things happened that had me reeling, but one was particularly devastating.
I learned that Dr Pepper was in short supply. Although a travesty, I thought that since I lived in Texas where Dr Pepper was born and raised, I wouldn’t have a problem finding the delicious beverage.
I thought wrong. It’s taken some diligent detective work to discover grocery stores that carry the good doctor and hoarding has officially commenced. The only thing that made it even a bit better was the sudden debut of Taylor Swift’s eight album.
This is a new Taylor. This is a mature Taylor. And this is a Taylor who lets the world know that she is an incredible singer/songwriter.
Lara and I discuss the entire song list and debate important topics like, “Is Taylor trying to tell us that she and Joe are broken up?” or “Were they married in a secret ceremony a few years ago and are about to celebrate their third wedding anniversary?”
And do you also feel that there’s an invisible string tying you to Taylor? Or is that just us…

HELLO THERE! It’s so good to be back!
My debut episode after a six-week hiatus is all about The Bachelorette. Let me just say that these jokers were busy during my time away. Thankfully, Some Guy in Austin and I break it all down for you.
We discuss Clare’s departure, Tayshia’s arrival, our feelings toward Arie’s new hair style, Colton’s breakup with Cassie, Jade and Tanners baby making skills, and one former bachelorette’s escapades that resulted in me editing Some Guy in Austin with a Ricky Martin song.
Enjoy!

In this episode, my roommate Lara and I discuss why we love the show Younger, who we would choose if we were the leading lady stuck in a ridiculously good-looking love triangle, and somehow we ended in a lively debate revolving around tattoos and what we would get if we had one.
Barbed wire. Around my bicep. Duh.

This week I’m discussing Hitch with my friend Todd. It’s charming, endearing, hopeful, and stars Will Smith. What’s not to love?
Just listen to this plot line:
Dating coach Alex Hitchens mentors a bumbling client, Albert who hopes to win the heart of the glamorous Allegra Cole. While Albert makes progress, Hitch faces his own romantic setbacks when proven techniques fail to work on Sara, a tabloid reporter digging for dirt on Allegra Cole’s love life. When Sara discovers Hitch’s connection to Albert — now Allegra’s boyfriend — it threatens to destroy both relationships.
Hitch taught us many things:
Never bite your upper lip while dancing.
Beware of grand gestures at Ellis Island.
Only lean in ninety percent.
And in medical emergency situations, a bottle of Robitussin can substitute as a juice box.
All you need is a bendy straw and you’re good to go.

In this episode, Stephanie and I discuss our favorite wedding movies. Now I must disclaim that this list BY NO MEANS is a complete list of our favorites. It was very hard to narrow down, but we did our best.
What makes a good wedding movie? I’m glad you asked.
You need an anxious father.
A hired boyfriend.
A best friend who is like Jell-O.
Seven new brides in gingham dresses.
A handful of brown M&Ms.
And of course, James Marsden.

In this episode, Lara and I discuss all things Schitt’s Creek, which is a wonderful television show that we just rediscovered during stay-at-home orders.
Let me tell you, dear listener, it is a delight. The cast, the fashion, the one-liners, the script…we love it all.
Get ready to fold in the cheese, bebés. This episode rivals the epic performance in Rose Apothecary.

Well, after six weeks (which felt like the entire summer), my Listen To Your Heart dreams of Matt and Rudi falling in love during the season finale were dashed in the first fifteen minutes of the two-hour spectacle.
Yet, we press on.
In this episode Some Guy in Austin and I discuss the finer things from the finale. These include, but are not limited to:
Chris Harrison in a tuxedo
Dan Plus Shay

Kaitlyn’s singing career
How far the east is as far as west
The wonder that is Taye Diggs
In conclusion we listen to our hearts and talk about the show about half the time. This is pretty much on brand for us. Enjoy.
