Hello everyone!
In today’s episode, Todd and I lament over the fact that we are unable to record our summer movie preview.
Remember going to a movie theater? Fun times. Those were the good old days before the year 2020 started acting like your drunk uncle at the family reunion.
Well, Todd and I powered through the pain and shifted gears, creating a list that, in this day and age, feels just as important as a summer movie preview
We call it, “I Want My Binge TV.”
Enjoy!

Hello everyone!
Thanks so much for tuning in this week. We are down to four couples and when the end of the journey is no longer a dot in the distance, things get real. You learn who is in love, who’s faking it, and who wants this more than anyone else.
In this episode Some Guy in Austin and I continue to tackle some of the greatest questions surrounding this show. For example:
Is the Bottle Ranch Motel haunted?
Did the couple getting married in the chapel actually know each other?
Is Rudi going to get fed up with Matt and leave?
Are Chris and Bri really in love?
Was Jamie’s last relationship with her 2017 senior prom date?
In a nutshell, we try and divulge which of these jokers is listening to his or her heart. Join us, won’t you?

Thanks so much for tuning in this week! I’ve had such a fun time trying to figure out Listen To Your Heart with Some Guy in Austin. Analyzing this show has become one of my greatest pleasures during social distancing.
In this episode we answer some of the greatest questions surrounding this show. For example:
Is Julia the worst?
Who is choosing Jamie’s wardrobe?
Is Natascha the worst?
Do Nelly and Tim McGraw sing a song together?
And is Rolf worse than Julia?
Even though one of our favorite performers went home, we find solace in the fact that he is in a shady bar right now, raising a glass for a toast. Cheers to dodged bullets!

Great news, people! We sort of, in a roundabout vague way, finally know what Listen To Your Heart is all about! Shout out to week 3 for extending those important details.
It’s a singing competition with a love component, yes, and the couples are judged, sure, but what we don’t know is HOW these duets are scored.
Do we have parameters? Is there a handy leader board? Will the judges hold up paddles? Heavens no.
At one point Jason Mraz offered a “great job,” as Ke$ha told someone they were beautiful, while JoJo and Fake Aaron Rodgers said one performance gave them chills.
I’m pretty sure that’s equivalent to a check plus, a smiley face, and a grape scratch and sniff sticker.
Nevertheless, Some Guy in Austin and I break down the performances and provide our expert opinions. You should also know that I call Matt by the name of Mark half the time and in one instance, I identify Bekah as Bri.
We all in this together, dear listener.
EPISODE NOTES:
If you’d like to read the week three recap, I’ve got it right HERE!

Sherds and Jules’ song: “As Long As You Love Me” by The Backstreet Boys

Even though Listen To Your Heart has a musical component, we have to remember that it is first and foremost a show about LOVE. And hearts. And listening to those hearts.
But Some Guy in Austin and take our job very seriously and insist on discussing more than who has the best duet and whose relationship is going to make it. In this episode, we instead discuss important details like:
Who does Brandon look like?
Why is Rudi wearing a chartreuse sweatsuit that makes her look like a homeless glow stick?
And how Natascha reminded Some Guy of an alien eating her prey.
But most importantly, we debate the age of one man’s toupee and ask each the deepest of questions . . . Does a hair piece have an expiration date?
EPISODE NOTES:
If you’d like to read the week two recap, I’ve got it right HERE!
Trevor and Jamie’s song: “Girl Crush” by Little Big Town
You knew what I was talking about when I mentioned Music and Lyrics, right?
Sherds and Jules’ song: “The Bones” by Maren Morris
The Dresden
Brandon and Savannah’s song: “Fever” live by Mr. Bublé
Many of us weren’t born yet, so it doesn’t surprise me that you don’t know the V Mini Series from 1983. (Spoiler: SGIA and I were both born in the ’70s, so…)

Kudos to the ABC producers who were forward-thinking enough to anticipate that the typical Bachelor viewing audience needed a place for all the budding musical artists of the world to congregate. It’s just a happy coincidence that this train wreck of a show was slated to air at a time when tigers are king and love is blind.
This is — LISTEN TO YOUR HEART!

It’s day question mark of sheltering in place and most of you have reached a point in this journey where cooking is no longer fun, love ones are no longer adorable, and the Netflix “to watch” list is running dangerously low.
I am pretty lucky.
I don’t cook, which means all I have to do is make sure there are enough cans of Pringles and Dr Pepper in the cupboard to last me for a few weeks. I also dove in head first to Schitt’s Creek and have at least a few more precious hours to spend with the Rose family before I have to binge something else.
And, I have a pretty cool roommate who took time out of her busy, lawyering schedule to diligently research hot doctors in medical dramas.
Never fear, dear listener. We have a list. And that list is long.
This episode goes out to the tired nurses, the exhausted doctors, the weary EMT teams, the brave testing technicians, the relentless research scientists, the hard-working adiminstrative and janitorial staffs, and anyone else who works in the medical field.
We love you. Stay strong.

We lost an incredible entertainer this week. As Some Guy in Austin and I discuss, Kenny Rogers decorated our lives with music. He was a walking example of what excellent hair follicles look like and he knew how to grow a luscious beard.
But above all, he taught us that knowing when to hold ’em and knowing when to fold ’em is a lesson we must all put into practice.
May he rest in peace.

We are back to celebrate another romantic comedy in our “It’s a Love Story” series, sponsored by my book conveniently titled, It’s a Love Story. You can find it wherever books are sold!
Anytime I get Mama and my sister together, you know there’s going to be a bunch of laughing. Especially when you’re talking about a movie that has “dirty” in the title.
We are a family of dancers, so you can imagine when this movie’s trailer entered our lives, we were hooked. Dirty Dancing taught us to ignore all signs that read “no guests allowed.” We learned that dance moves sometimes tickle, the best place to practice lifts is in the water, and no one puts Baby in a corner.
But most importantly, we learned to always carry a watermelon. It could lead to great things.
LIKE JOHNNY CASTLE.
EPISODE NOTES:
Mama, Jamie, and I talked about the Sound of Music in our first joint podcast. Hilarity ensued.
Here’s Mama’s favorite Dirty Dancing scene. The FINAL scene!
Here’s Jamie’s favorite Dirty Dancing scene. The DIRTY scene!
Here’s my favorite Dirty Dancing scene. The SHE HAS NO SPINE scene!
We believe you should LISTEN TO THE SOUNDTRACK! So good.
Did you know Jennifer Grey had a new nose?
Please, please, please do not watch the TV remake. Instead, read about it HERE and thank me later for saving you from certain heartburn.
