In this special episode releasing at the conclusion of the PREOXI presentation at the Critical Care Reviews 2024 conference in Belfast, Ireland - we discuss the recently published PREOXI trial evaluating NIV vs facemask as pre-oxygenation for emergent endotracheal intubation. We're live from ATS! We decide to format our episode after the NEJM/JAMA/ATS combined session and talk about the articles presented there. Some of them we've talked about before but provide new insights from listeners and questions from the audience. Some of them are new and we provide our thoughts from the presentations (not enough time to fully read the articles)

Episode 36! In this episode we talk about tranexamic acid in GI bleeds. We flip the script a little bit and talk about our OLD article first, HALT-IT or "Tranexamic acid in upper gastrointestinal bleed in patients with cirrhosis: A randomized controlled trial" published in Lancet in 2020. This sets the stage for our new trial "Tranexamic acid in upper gastrointestinal bleed in patients with cirrhosis" published in Kumar et al in Hepatology (a new journal for us!)
