  • How to Know God’s Leading

The devil wants us to doubt our ability to hear from and follow God. But God has made it easier than we've realized--through the Holy Spirit and the inward witness of peace.

In this podcast, Daphne and Angie give examples and discuss the leading of the Holy Spirit. Colossians 3:15 instructs us to "let the peace from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your heart..." In other words, one of the major ways the Holy Spirit leads us is through peace (or even the lack of peace). It's important to learn to recognize how God leads us--and obey that leading.

  • Deal With That Funk

What comes to mind when we say something like, "So-and-so is in a funk today..." ?? For us, we think of Pig-Pen from Charlie Brown. He was the character that walked around with a cloud of dust always surrounding him. And that's what we mean by "funk." It's that moody attitude that can change a room when someone has it clinging to them.

In this week's episode, Daphne and Angie address the "funk" that might be on you or someone you know. Believe it or not, there is a solution to dealing with it! John 6:63 says, "...The flesh profits nothing..." And 1 Peter 5:8-10 says the devil is seeking someone to seize upon. These two scriptures shed some light on the enemy's devices against God's kids. If believers get in the flesh (funk), then they immediately become perfect prey for the enemy!

Just remember, you have been given authority in Christ. [Tweet "The believer's whisper always carries more authority than the devil's shout!"]

  • Got Uncontrolled Flesh?

The Bible defines our "flesh" as the part of us that is weak, imperfect, prone to sin, and the seat of all sinful passions and desires. We could say it's the part of us that does the opposite of what our spirit wants--which is why the flesh and the spirit fight each other.

In this week's podcast, Daphne and Angie talk about uncontrolled flesh, but not in the dramatic way you may be thinking. Obviously, a temper tantrum would be "uncontrolled flesh" but so is any form of disobedience. Remember this equation:
undeveloped spirit + unrenewed mind = uncontrolled flesh
In this episode, Daphne and Angie share personal stories about what happened after recording the previous week's podcast about resting in God. The thing to remember is that uncontrolled flesh, even in the tiniest form, is the reason for many spiritual failures or missed opportunities.Click here to Download Episode

  • Exhale: Find a Rest in God

Rest is a precious commodity in this busy world. But we're not referring to sleep. There is a rest in God.

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about finding time to be in God's presence without an agenda. Psalm 16:11 says, "You will show me the path of life; In your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." It takes faith to sit in the presence of God--but faith is our greatest gift to God, so it should be no surprise that He rewards that time with rest.

Psalm 100:4 says, "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving..." In other words, the quickest way to step into that place where it's just you and God is by thanking Him. "Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it" (Hebrews 4:1). God has prepared times of refreshing for you and I--in His presence. May we enter His rest today.

  • Don’t Let Religion Steal Your Identity

Jesus hated religion. But let's be clear... the religion we're speaking of is a spirit, not a description of people who go to church (although the two could be found together sometimes).

A spirit of religion is a counterfeit (and often a put-off) that sounds or acts a certain way in an attempt to convince others this person is something different than they really are. This is why religion can steal your identity!

In this week's episode, Daphne and Angie talk about the effects religion has had on people. It starts with a fear of man. In other words, when we don't want someone else to know we're less than perfect, we pretend all is good--unknowingly allowing a spirit of religion to attach itself to us. [Tweet "Religion kills. And the only way to resist this is to be authentic!"]

1 John 1:9 says, "Confess [be authentic] to God, for He is faithful and just and will forgive your sins and cleans you of all unrighteousness" (our paraphrase). When we can learn to be real with ourselves (giving ourselves grace), it'll be much easier to be real with others too.Click here to Download Episode

  • Light Carriers & Last Day Living!

In the beginning, God created light and then He created the lights. The difference is important. The first thing God created was light (revelation) to clearly separate it from the darkness, or deception and chaos that was on the earth. If that's the first thing God did then, it's still the first thing God wants to do in the life of every believer!

In this episode, Daphne is joined by special guest, Cheryl Grayson. Together they discuss light versus darkness, or should we say, revelation versus deception. Cheryl perfectly says in this podcast, "God didn't call you to chase darkness. He called you to carry the light."

Psalm 36:9 says, "In Your Light, we see light." The greatest weapon believers have is the light within them. And in these last days, it's imperative for believers to trust the light of God's Word. The Bible says the Lord is our Shepherd and even though we face times of darkness (shadows of death), God can be trusted to lead us in paths of righteousness and protection.Click here to Download Episode

  • God Wants You to Ask

How can God show up to help if we never ask Him to? In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about the the prayer of agreement. When believers can get a hold of the promises of God's Word and understand their "asking" is not a demand on God, not only will their faith be strengthened but their prayers will be answered!

In Matthew 18:19, Jesus said, "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." What a promise! Number one, Jesus said it will be done. And number two, this agreement in prayer isn't with one another, it's the act of agreeing with what God already said He'd do!

Most of us simply need to keep holding the rope in prayer. In other words, don't give up when you're in a tug-of-war with the enemy. God is faithful and He will answer... but you have to ask!Click here to Download Episode

  • Missed Opportunities

Is there anything worse than feeling like you missed it? Regret can be a vicious cycle of condemnation or torment. But what if we looked at it differently? What if we realized a missed opportunity is just that... a missed opportunity. In other words, what if you let it be a learning moment to help you have a better future?

In this podcast, Daphne and Angie talk about one of the ways the devil keeps people from moving forward --through regret. James 4:17 says, "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin." The Bible is clear, if you know what to do and refuse to, then that's a problem. But if you didn't know, then why are you letting the devil beat you up about it?

It's time to turn those tables and let your missed opportunities become opportunities for wisdom!Click here to Download Episode

  • What You Need to Know About Spiritual Battles

You know this is a great episode when you have two high-fives during the middle of recording!

In this episode of Identity Advantage, Daphne and Angie talk about the battles people face everyday in contrast to the help God has given us through an understanding of deception and authority. 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be vigilant because the enemy is seeking whom he may devour." The key word here is whom. When we lack wisdom, we become perfect prey for the enemy's attacks.

BUT... one word from you can put the devil on the run! "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness..." (Ephesians 6:12). Jesus said WE now carry the authority! The keys in this podcast will prepare you for any spiritual battles you may face!Click here to Download Episode

  • Check Your Perspective

The Bible says, "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). And this is true for all believers! BUT... if you only look at your situation from a natural point-of-view, you may not see things from God's perspective.

In this week's episode, Daphne is joined by special guest, JudiJo Adams. Her and her husband Russ, are the founders of xPloreNations Bible College with campuses in Spain, Egypt, Honduras, and the U.S.  JudiJo learned early on that trusting God would be imperative to her success as a missionary and as victorious child of God.

There's an old proverb that says, "You can't see the forest for the trees." This is a good explanation of perspective. You can see things as they are right in front of you, or you can change your view through your position in Christ to see things from God's perspective--which is always better!Click here to Download Episode
