We are less than a week away from the official launch of ESPN BET and the picture is becoming clearer about how Penn and the Worldwide Leader in Sports will interplay once it is launched and accepting wagers.

After the bill that regulated sports betting in Brazil was approved, and is to be voted on in the senate, the federal government have published the first ordinance or 'portaria' establishing the general rules for the industry.
This focuses around customer engagement, how long operators have to demonstrate interest in the market, ties to athletes or sports officials, financial security and more.
To discuss this, we brought in one of the foremost gaming law experts in Brazil, Tiago Gomes, Partner (Sócio) at Ambiel, Manssur, Belfiore, Gomes, Hanna Advogados, a corporate law firm in São Paulo. Tiago spoke with our very own Isadora Marcante of SBC Notícias Brasil to look through the porteria through the legal lens.

As the Twilight hour passes, the undead finally rest and the werewolves howl at the moon for a final time for another 12 months, the Halloween season comes to a close.
During this time, the slot sector has witnessed an abundance of seasonal themed slots, including a recent Beyond the Reels slot, Treasures of the Count, and, though the spooky era has ended, bonfire’s have been extinguished, the slot industry is still at the start of its seasonal themed period with turkey’s on the line for thanksgiving and jolly ol’ Saint Nick doing the rounds.
And this will be the topic of today’s podcast as James Ross is joined by Craig Davies and Danny Lee to talk all things seasonal slots and if there is still importance to them or just a staple in the calendar.

Prior to posting its Q3 trading update, Entain had warned investors of ‘aggravating factors’ impacting period trading and lowering the firm’s full-year earnings guidance.
Year comparatives see the FTSE giant maintain revenue growth, primarily due to the continued expansion of the BetMGM joint-venture.
Yet results cannot hide the lacklustre trading of its European brands, reporting pro forma revenue declines across online and retail segments.
Acting on the front foot, Entain’s leadership has triggered a new corporate strategy, streamlining operations to improve earnings and shareholder value as company investors are told that Entain will soften its M&A strategy.

From Woodrow Wilson to Garrett Wilson, fantasy sports has a long and rich history in the United States, and with the present and future of fantasy, and especially daily fantasy (dfs) in the headlines at the moment, we thought we'd take a look at the origins and development of fantasy over the years, and why we're having the same conversations now as we were having 30+ years ago.
To tackle this topic, SBC Americas host Jessica Welman and Sports Betting Hall of Famer Sue Schneider were joined on the podcast by Fantasy Sports pioneer, and a board member of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, Rick Wolf. Rick is the Senior Vice President B2B Partnerships at Spotlight Sports, and formerly held Fantasy Sports positions at CBS Sports and NBC Sports, and spent a decade as Executive Vice President of Rotoworld, making him the ideal person to take us through the history of fantasy.
