The pressure is on and there is an increased pressure being placed on teachers to provide synchronous learning.
Never heard that word before?
That's because the better way to describe this overly complicated term is live teaching.
Just the thought of live teaching makes so many teachers nervous and rightly so. While there are advantages there are also some major concerns about privacy, access, and equity.
Despite these objections, it looks like synchronous learning is becoming more and more the expectation of teachers these days. From parents, admin, and the government.
So I wanted to talk about it.
