It's the last episode of the year or is it the last episode ever? Who knows? Kevin likes to keep PJ and the girlies on their toes. Kevin's not in the best mood as PJ took him to a coffee gaff in Dublin that is the equivalent to Cork's Puccino's. PJ then apologises to Kevin for dismissing his aversion to junk mail after Nuala was locked out of her gaff when she had a full head of foils in after getting her colour done in Tracey's salon. As it's the last episode of the year the lads take a moment to reflect on their highlights of the last 525,600 minutes and share some of the good news that's been submitted by listeners.

It’s the penultimate episode of 2023 and it’s a special one. PJ’s fiancé and Kevin’s secret lover Jose is making his I’m Grand Mam debut. The chat begins with Jose addressing the rumours of his illicit love affair and then he goes on to talk about moving from the Philippines to Ireland at the age of 11 and being an artistic person and having a new creative pursuit every other month. They then play a game called Jose or Hozier where Kevin reads random facts and PJ has to guess whether they apply to Jose or Hozier. Simple really.

The episode begins with Kevin questioning PJ on why he never has a hand towel in his bathroom forcing Kevin to have to dry his hands on the cats. Then because it’s cuffing season the lads go through Kevin’s dating profile which leaves so many unanswered questions like are Kevin’s boxers red or wine coloured? Why is Kevin doing the bear face in his pictures? And why does Kevin start off every conversation with ‘hola chico’?

As part of World Aids Day the lads are very excited to be having their first ever podcast collaboration with Robbie Lawlor and Veda Lady from Poz Vibe Podcast. The chat starts off with PJ apologising to Veda for stretching her thigh high leather boots but he is welcomed as her drag daughter into the house of Veda and aptly settles on the name Veda Boots.
Robbie and Veda then share their stories about coming to terms with their HIV+ diagnosis, spread the message that U=U and talk about their recent involvement in the film How To Tell A Secret, an Invisible Threads Production directed by Anna Rogers and Shaun Dunne which is available to stream on Netflix in the UK and Ireland from Friday December 1st.

It’s been a long time coming but the lads have finally invested in a brand new microphone setup and it’s only taken them 4 and a half years. Only stunning audio quality to follow from henceforth. As they didn’t get round to half the submissions in the last episode they dedicate another episode to regrets and there’s a girl who regrets buying a house with her ex-fiancé only to find out he’d been getting off with her bestie behind her back. This leads to a disconcerting revelation about what’s been going on between José and Kevin behind the scenes.

This week the boys are bringing you a very special episode in partnership with Science Week. But of course, the lads couldn’t just wing their way through this one so they enlisted the help of award-winning science communicator, Dr Fergus McCauliffe who is the Communications and Public Engagement Manager at iCRAG. Together the lads discuss all things to do with the climate crisis and the importance of biodiversity and take a look at the pros and cons of living on different planets if Earth became uninhabitable.
Science Week 2023 is running from the 12th to the 19th of November. For more information see www.scienceweek.ie
Note: This episode was recorded prior to recent calls for a boycott of NYT Games. We support the boycott and wanted to clarify the timing of this conversation.

The episode begins with PJ reciting a poem that he heard recently and it’s two minutes of your life that you’ll never get back. Kevin discusses his chaotic antics the weekend of Halloween whereby he nearly had to get an Uber home in the nip. The theme for the week is regrets and the listeners don’t disappoint with their submissions. From people shagging their cousins to a girl who rues the day she decided to eat a puffin in Iceland, it’s obvious that the girlies have a lot on their conscience and the boys are all ears.

This week the lads have the pleasure of having a chat with the legend that is Anne Doyle. They talk about her iconic career as a journalist, broadcaster and newsreader, discuss her new book and her own personal experiences with ghosts and they also reprise the iconic Tyra Banks Show name game that they played in their interview with Paul Mescal.

The boys are recording from PJ's hotel room again and Kevin's trying to get PJ cancelled by saying he demanded an accessible room because he needed extra space for his boots and to practice his TikTok routines. PJ then has an apology to make to people who had to wait for him on a flight recently when he was getting an iced latte because mama needs her juice. The theme of the week is reality tv, prompted by the fact that Big Brother is back on our screens. The lads talk through their top 5 iconic reality tv moments, debate shows they'd like to appear on and Kevin expresses his adoration for Camilla Thurlow, one of his favourite Love Island contestants of all time.

The lads are recording live from a hotel in London and decide to put on dressing gowns and slippers to give the illusion of grandeur, despite Kevin saying that he thinks lads in dressing gowns are a bit of an ick.
Then prompted by their book making it to number 2 in the Irish book charts, narrowly missing out on the top spot, they discuss their experiences of being second best. The iconic Blarney Street Pram Push also gets a mention and of course PJ has to mention that Blarney Street is the longest street in Ireland because he's never once stated that in any previous episode ever.
