Dr. Varon says that the people he is seeing in the ICU are coming in with BA.4 or BA.5, not because of these variants themselves. The patients he is seeing that are in with COVID and ill are typically elderly. Dr. Varon says there has been no difference in mortality based on obesity for the last variant.
