The BRICS countries are meeting August 22-24 to discuss a new currency outside of the US dollar. Trade agreements right now settle in dollars, but after our big thinkers sanctioned Russia from using that currency, the BRICS are looking for an alternative. The S&P 500 is rolling over, bounced on the 50 moving average. Gold is down for the week, main support is at $1850 - $1840. Barrick Gold is in a buy zone. Silver premiums are at a nice low, 1 oz Buffalo rounds can be bought at $25, and that's 999.9 pure. Sprott Physical Silver Trust (PSLV) is at a nice buy point, and SILJ is coming into a nice double bottom. Platinum and nickel are getting cheap. Bonds got hammered, setting up a nice buy on TLT. Global Atomic and Goviex have rebounded following news out of Niger. Rio Tinto and BHP are coming into buy zones. Oil continues to perform, collect your dividends.

The S&P 500 has rolled over, it might even hit the 50 SMA. Another way to play that could be to bet the RSP Equal Weight Index, leaving us less exposed to the tech sector. Gold hitting on nice support, we can leverage that with Barrick and the ETFs. Silver dropped to nice support last week. SilverCrest came out with an updated Independent Technical Report. Platinum is approaching a buy, and if you caught it TLT got pretty cheap for a hot minute. Fitch downgraded US Debt from AAA to AA+. Japan is selling bonds and treasuries like pancakes, both factors driving yields up. Oil continues to perform, collect your dividends and hold. Uranium spot is at $56.50 Goviex and Global Atomic have had first technical bounce.

The Fed raised interest rates last week another 25bps, and the market did not care. S&P 500 continues to climb, gold closed the week flat despite some volatile moves on Wednesday and Thursday. Silver had some sharp moves but closed the week 1% down. Bought more SilverCrest in anticipation of them reaching nameplate capacity in a couple weeks. Also purchased more TLT when it shot down from the hike in interest rates. Copper had a nice bump in the equities when the spot price rose. Uranium and Cameco especially is performing like a boss. Pretty overbought, hoping for a correction for we can buy more.
