We have up to about 60,000 thoughts per day. Most of us are aware of only a tiny fraction of what those thoughts are. However, these thoughts affect how we feel, what we do, and ultimately, work to reinforce what we believe about who we are.
The more unaware we are of these thoughts, the more they reinforce our core (false) beliefs.
As people begin the healing journey they often believe that it is making things worse because they begin to notice all the negative, even shameful or hateful, things they think. They notice all the reminders they hold onto as “proof” of these beliefs.
Unfortunately, this can often lead people to abandon their healing journey, thinking it will never get better.
In today’s episode, I talk about an important thing to consider if you ever find yourself feeling this way and how noticing these thoughts can actually lead to incredible awareness and healing. It is, in fact, an imperative part of the healing process.
