Today on the Growth Over Goals podcast, we are blessed to be able to sit at the table with two-time author, speaker, entrepreneur, and founder of Headbands of Hope – Jess Ekstrom.
Jess’s path to her destiny started with an impactful conversation with her entrepreneurial father when she was in her early teens that lead to the beginning of her “inspiration from frustration” life motto. After an extremely difficult life event - in which her family lost all of their money - pulled the rug out from under Jess’s feet, she was faced with the incredible realization that we only have one life, and we need to live it. This transformative experience shifted Jess into the role of an achiever – a role which eventually lead her to found Headbands of Hope, a charity that provides headbands to kids with cancer. Lessons learned while running her charity formed Jess into an incredible public speaker who turned her life experience into a lesson plan in her Mic Drop Workshop for other women who wanted to find their place in the professional speaking world.
Jess has ultimately learned one of the greatest skills of life: how to fail well. Today, she shares her wisdom with you, dear listener, and helps us understand how failure can feel better than regret. We all have the ability to build a brighter future, and this podcast will certainly inspire you to do that today!
Regardless of what your life has looked like to this point, if you are a person with an idea this podcast episode is for you!
