Today, I deep dive into Perth's building industry bottleneck and how it’s impacting housing costs and prices of established properties. Since my last update, high population growth has only increased demand, with around 25,000 new homes needed each year to keep up!
We'll look into the hurdles facing the building sector, like rising construction costs, project delays, and land price increases. With even more builders recently going bust, building a new home is getting pricier, and consumer confidence is taking a hit, pushing affordability even further out of reach.
As difficult as this is for home buyers, it's all adding up to giving me even greater confidence that established prices will continue to rise.
Let’s go inside.
