He broke off his contract with the KHL and it seems like he's on a fast-track to the NHL. Ivan has impressed everyone after recover from Hodgkins Lymphoma and has put himself in a position to maybe even crack the Capitals roster. GM Brian Maclellan said he expects to see the like of Malenstyn, McMichael, and Protas will make the big team in the fall.
