Jake Burger and Luis Robert Jr. powered the Chicago White Sox to a series win against the Atlanta Braves. Burger hit his 20th and 21st homeruns and Luis Robert Jr. hit his 27th while also going 4-for-5 in the series finale. Sox capped off the weekend with an 8-1 win off the best team in baseball, in their building. Michael Kopech, Lance Lynn and Dylan Cease were the Sox starters in the series. Lynn was bailed out by some Sox offense and Cease delivered his typical five innings but it was Kopech's 2/3 of an inning in Game 1 that was frustrating. Kopech had zero control and after loading the bases, he gave up a grand slam to Matt Olson. The lone bright spot in that game was Touki Toussaint's five plus relief effort. After a maddening performance that produced a Grifol earful, the Sox bounced back and cooled off a hot Braves team. Is it too little and too late for the Sox or can this season be salvaged?
