What should a teacher do if they suspect a student is struggling with an eating disorder or disordered eating? And what happens when parents don't recognise the concern?
In this episode of the JenUp Podcast, myself and Becky Stone answer frequently asked questions from teachers and schools about recognising and responding to eating disorders in young people.
Drawing on both professional expertise and lived experience of eating disorders, Becky and I discuss the warning signs that can easily be overlooked, why early intervention matters, and how schools can respond when they are concerned about a pupil.

In this episode, Becky Stone and I explore ADHD and decision fatigue, why everyday choices can feel disproportionately exhausting, and how this links to executive functioning, overwhelm, and the mental load of constant “micro-decisions.” We’ll unpack what decision fatigue can look like for children, teens, and adults with ADHD, including procrastination, shutdown, irritability, perfectionism, and the feeling of being “stuck” even when the decision seems small.
