  • Meditation Boosts Your Flow of Time
All quotations in this podcast are from Andy Puddicombe’s “The Headspace Guide to Meditation and Mindfulness” book.
“Take a moment to appreciate the food. Where has it come from? What country? Was it grown or was it manufactured? Try and imagine the different ingredients in their natural growing environment and even the types of people who would have been looking after the crops or animals.” (130)
That’s what “Headspace guide to Meditation and Mindfulness” author Andy Puddicombe writes when he encourages us to not just eat slowly, but to savor and be mindful of our food. This helps you enter headspace when consuming your favorite morsels, so that the food tastes better, is greater appreciated, and you control more of what you consume because you’re so focused on the chewing and absorbing the nutrients.
“Before getting up to leave or moving on to the next thing to eat, take a couple of deep breaths again. Remind yourself of how the plate looked when it was full of food and how it looks now, empty with nothing on it. Notice how, win contrast, before you sat down the stomach felt empty and how now it feels full. By noticing these things, noticing how everything is always changing, how everything has both a beginning and an end, the mind tends to experience a greater sense of ease over time.” (132)
What Andy Puddicombe alludes to there is a greater sense of awareness about how our food is consumed. We need to use our senses, as well. It’s not merely the taste of the food but the depletion progression on the plate or bowl that you see with your eyes and maybe even the sound of the silverware and the muscle contractions of your jaw munching.
Food should be something that nourishes us, obviously, but eating should be a form of meditation. There’s no reason not to do this. You enjoy your food more, it tastes better, it digests better, and you get to look forward to each bite. Your concept of time becomes more aware, and it just flows better.
Time flows when you meditate. This also doesn’t retard the eating process. Yes, it slows your eating, but that doesn’t mean you don’t lose out on the savoriness or crunchiness or texture of the food.
When I eat my salad, I really experience a greater sensation of experiences on my palate. When you meditate and eat and practice eating meditation, you aren’t being a monk void of flavors and tastes. Instead, you’re being a mindful human who is actually tasting more holistically and magnificently.
My biggest form of meditation is my runs and walks. There are ways to be more mindful of your body and all of its ligaments and joints and cardiovascular system and respiratory systems through meditation when you’re out walking, running, or exercising.
“There’s a feeling of having been “in the zone” or “in the moment”, as if all the necessary conditions came together at just the right time to allow you to perform in that way. There’s a sense of willing, of confidence, of focus. And the funny thing is, even if it’s a really tough, physical session, it’s almost as if there was an effortless quality about it. It’s no coincidence that so many of these qualities are to be found in meditation.” (140).
Meditation keeps your brain and body connection in a zone of synergy so that you’re always experiencing the moment fully. I clean my home-office more, I feel better about myself, my confidence goes up, my sense of peace increases during and after meditation. It’s a great practice and I encourage everyone to meditate!

  • The Language Jiu Jitsu of Romance
The Premise: You can use sleight of Mouth patterns shape any belief or occurrence including Romance!
Understand and plug-in the Sleight of Mouth Patterns (SOM), EBCBIP (Logical Levels) because those keep you electric in thought and centered emotionally because they’re like ji jitsu with language! In fact, you can become more expansive to experience enlightened levels of emotions with Sleight of Mouth and Logical Levels patterns.
Romance is a tricky subject. It is, in many instances, the purpose of poetry. Shakespeare wrote copiously about it, but how can you use Sleight of Mouth patterns with Romance?
Think of Intention and Consequence as the <—, —> before and after.
Think of Chunk up / Chunk Down like the Up and Down Arrows, so along with Intention/Consequence you have 360 degrees of using language to “zoom” around a concept.
    Chunk Up
Neil Strauss writes “Attraction is not an option.” Aren’t you a your partner really just like magnets attracting together chemically?
    Hierarchy of Criteria
H Humor - common interests and people who laugh at your jokes are good “matches”. Shared sense of humor helps you differentiate from poor matches.
O Openness - Open body language. Avoid crossing your body and square your shoulders to the person when you want to flirt. A rule from basketball I remember was square your shoulders to the basket. To practice good body language, at the very least, face your partner.
T Touch - Touch has a positive physiological reaction on the body. Shoulders are considered more friendly, but as you progress towards the hand, the sensation of touch becomes more intimate. The back of the shoulders is also a good flirtacious touch. Touch is a great way to escape the “friend zone” and send signals that you’re flirting.
A Attention - You’re participating and in the interaction, but not so self-conscious that you can’t observe the other person’s reactions like an anthropologist. If you see a blush or some other reactions, you can use that as proper feedback. Attention is a valuable tool not just to flirt, but to observe the baseline of a person, which can be used for anchors and all kinds of fun NLP patterns.
P Proximity - If you notice a greater proximity to a person and then suddenly a few minutes later, they’re in close proximity to you, this is an indicator that they, at the very least, are interested in you.
E - Eye Contact - Eye contact is clutch.
If someone displays all of those six actions, they ARE flirting with you. You can use those six forms of interaction to initiate flirting with a desired mate, too!
So by using Another example of Sleight of Mouth patterns, and just looking at an interaction with a woman as simply light flirting, instead of something as extreme as finding your soul mate, you can achieve a good balance with how flexible you are socially.
So conclusively, applying the sleight of mouth patterns to romance can enable you to succeed in the relationships of life!

  • Catalyze the Change You Want with Costume
What do you do when you get up in the morning? What do you do when you go to work? How does garb impact your endeavors? In this podcast sound byte snippet I delve into the impact of costume upon your aspects of motivation.
Costume, garb, attire, clothing, apparel. They’re sold in retail stores and thrift shops. Sometimes they’re marketed as what “the cool” people wear. Sometimes as with extreme weather gear, clothing is marketed as fabric that assists you in surviving the elements. But really clothing is just costume and it should be. The clothing you wear has an enormous impact on your productivity.
One of the 4 focuses I emphasize in my coaching (along with career, relationships, and health) is productivity-minimalism. The two are intertwined and inextricably interrelated because as minimalism increases, so does productivity. Less clutter means less distractions. And for clothing, apparel that you wear has a bearing on what you will do with your day.
If I awake and instantly put on my running clothes, just in regards to probability, there’s a 99% chance that I’ll workout that day. Simply because of the clothing I chose. Clothing anchors in specific activities. If you awake and put on your fancy shmancy clothes, that will impact your day causing you to gravitate towards more professional projects.
The usage of something as simple as apparel can have a remarkable impact on the course of your day. Especially during lockdown and the global pandemic, be mindful of what clothing you wear during your day. When you roll out of bed and fail to be mindful of what you want to accomplish that day in regards to clothing, you will lack possession of your time. How you dress your body, effects your mind and your plans.
Your plans are important because that’s how you utilize your time. What would happen if you knew the night before that you would wake up and don your exercise clothes upon awaking the next morning before work? Your entire evaluation of time would shift. Sure, you still have work clothes, but just doing something as simple as adorning the apparel of a specific activity, gets you to accomplish that focus.
Costume is defined as “an outfit worn to create the appearance characteristic of a particular period, person, place, or thing”. When you workout or go to work or even just relax around your house, you are playing “a part”, a role. The clothing you wear effects the role you play! Beginning to become aware of how you will utilize your future time is integral to leading a fulfilling life and the clothing with which you adorn yourself does have an impact on how effectively you manage your time.
Conclusively, be selective with your costume. It’s basically free motivation inertia. The clothing you choose to dress yourself with can shape what you do with your time in the future.

  • Anchor Your Body in Nature - Advanced - NLP
Now, the message of this is obviously not to disconnect from Nature. This method won’t work without a healthy does of Naturehere’s the process which is Advanced Future-pacing during the setting of an anchor:
    1. Clear your mind in a clean environment (great location the bathroom after finishing a shower, which is a sterile environment).
    2. Use Timeline Therapy Through-time to visualize the timescape of your upcoming day.
    3. Activate the state of fulfilling your aspirations for that day while visualizing a peaceful Nature scene
    4. Use Logical Levels - Capabilities - to access the resourceful state.
    5. Install and Trigger that prosperous state in a ligament of your body.
    6. You should feel an electricity if you did it right.
Now about that NLP technique. I do this whenever I get out of the shower. You have zero clutter on you. You’re refreshed and in a sterile environment. You set a trajectory of your time and use it in a way that causes you to physically feel the sensation of of electricity in your body. I target an appendage, like my leg and you can feel not the chemical, but the electrical patterns in your leg change as you install your future temporal commitment. Now, if you apply a Sleight of Mouth technique like “Apply to Self”, you electrify your ability to lock in future engagements of time with people and events that make you happy by activating the anchor!
Now back onto Nature. When I go to the beach I have 7 items with me and they added up quickly. They accumulate. I had glasses, sandals, suntan lotion, towel, keys, water bottle, and trunks (or togs as we say in Britain or Australia). Now, that may not sound like much, and it’s not, but every thing you have to keep track of adds to residual stress. Although it doesn’t have as big of an impact as Nature and exercise, minimizing diminishes residual stress, too.
Another aptitude in your arsenal to diminish residual stress is accomplishing things! The Advanced Future-pacing time-anchor I just described, leads to the heightened proficiency, rapid acquisition, and more wholistic fulfillment of how you use your time because you make your time more valuable just with the visualization. The quality of your time amplifies because of its heightened inherent value merely resulting from the installation of the capability anchor!
Note: Even if you don’t install the anchor effectively, the process itself works because of the visualization.

  • Tell YOUR Life Story | John Kooz
Your life story shapes your perspective of your own identity. The consequences of having a superb life story are that you perceive yourself in a way that is not inflated, but, rather, emboldened with self-appreciation. You learn to like yourself with a good life story. Shaping and crafting an uplifting life story is not about fabricating lies. I’ve practiced deceit detection skills, studied poker bluffing strategy, and understand how stage performers, like Derren Brown, extract and implant thoughts into people’s minds. I know when someone is fabricating a life story. So my message on life stories is not about creating a fallacious mythology about yourself. Instead, your life story is about crafting your personality!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOUR TELL YOUR STORY
    WHY TELL YOUR STORY
    HOW TO TELL YOUR STORY
    PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE
